"I wonder who is gonna get to my house first?" thought Jovie aloud to herself, as she put her arms behind her head.
Zooey smiled, "I know they were kidding. They had to be, cause Tre loves me, not you! And I have no idea why Mike would ask you at all, he told me he will always and forever think of you as a little sister."
Emily smiled at her date to the prom at the other table, "Well, I for one am not worried about it, I trust Mike and I think he is going to wait for me, just as I have been waiting on him."
Jovie coughed, "You gotta be kidding me, you think he is waiting on you? For real?"
Just as Emily was about to reply, when Mike sat next to her and planted a big kiss on her cheek. She smiled.
"Mike, honey, I was just talking about you sweetheart. Did you know that?"
Mike looked confused, "Well, no. Not exactly, I am just honored to have the best looking girl at school as my girlfriend, that's all."
Emily took a deep breath, suddenly angry at herself for smiling at her loser prom date, and wondering what the hell was the matter with her for going with him in the first place. Jovie must have sensed it, beacuse she draped her arm around Emily and smiled.
"Well," she said, "usually guys can tell when you are bragging about them."
Just then Zooey jumped across the table and snatched a carrot off of Jovie's plate.
"What the hell?" said Jovie confused, "You don't like carrots."
She smiled, and pointed to Billie Joe and Tre, who were headed that way! She held up the carrot.
"You wanna lose three pounds?"
"Yep."
"Wanna look your best, before Billie boy sees you?"
"Yep."
"Well, come to the bathroom with me."
"I don't know..."
"Look how hot he looks today." Zooey pointed at Billie Joe, who was talking and laughing at something Tre said.
Jovie looked at Billie Joe, for once it seemed to her, like he wasn't staring at her in a way that made her question her abstinance plan.
"Well..."
"Jovs, do you want to be married and have babies by the time we are thirty?"
"Well... Hey! You will definately be married before me."
"Jovs, I am not gonna let you die alone. You have never had a problem with this before."
"Well, that was before my doctor told me that if I lose any more weight I'll die."
Mike looked at Emily, who seemed okay with purging, and then at Jovie, and then Zooey with a terrified look on his face.
"Why do you guys do that?"
Emily rolled her eyes, he could be so clueless sometimes. "It is a great way to lose weight. And look at Jovs, she looks hot!"
Mike slapped Emily hard across the face, "Are you fucking insane? You guys are too thin, and if you do it again, I'll tell Billie Joe and Tre if I don't decide to tell them now. I am pretty sure if Billie Joe knew what you were doing Jovs, he would shove food down you throat."
They all got quiet as Billie Joe and Tre sat down. Billie Joe was the first to notice something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" he asked looking at Jovie, who was staring at Zooey.
"Do I smell?" asked Tre, lifting his arms to put them around Zooey. Zooey was staring at Mike, he couldn't bring himself to even look at either of the girls. He was so disappointed in them.
"What's wrong?" asked Billie Joe again.
Mike took a deep breath, and then let it out slowly, "Nothing."
Pretty soon it was all forgotten and Mike was so distracted talking to Billie Joe and Tre, he hardly noticed the three thin girls walking slowly to the bathroom.
Zooey smiled, "I know they were kidding. They had to be, cause Tre loves me, not you! And I have no idea why Mike would ask you at all, he told me he will always and forever think of you as a little sister."
