"I hate Adam Cuomo!" screamed Billie Joe. "Can you guys believe that he listened to our conversation, and he wonders why I hate him so much? God! HE is such an idiot!"
Tre, who was trying desperately to stifle giggles, said, "Why don't you just get over yourself and tell her how you feel about her?"
"What? Were you not listening? Jovie hates me! I have told her before of how much I love her, she won't listen to me."
Mike who had been quiet the entire time, replied, "He is kinda right Bill."
Billie could scarcely hear what they were saying. "What? Mike, we have been friends since forever and you are going to take his side? What is goin' on?"
"Bill, I'm not saying he is completely right, I'm just saying that he is kinda right. He is right in the sense that you do in a way need to let her know. You have been in love with her all your life, and unless you find a way to show her not tell her, than you will go crazy and attack her or something."
Billie Joe got quiet. Tre burst out laughing. Billie Joe scowled at him.
"What are you laughing at Tre?"
"Billie, he's right, and if you do end up getting crazy on her, she won't stand a chance."
Mike continued, "We will help you think of a way, Bill, don't you even worry about it."
"You guys are going to help me?"
Mike and Tre both nodded, Billie smiled. Let the games begin.
Jovie looked out her window. It was 12:00 am, and she was not tired at all. She cold not stop thinking of Billie Joe.
Just as she was closing her window, Billie Joe appeared and jumped in her face. She covered her mouth to stifle a scream that was welling up inside of her. She almost hurt him. If she did she would never have been able to live with herself.
"OMIGOD! Billie Joe Armstrong, I coulda hurt you really bad! Are you ok?"
Billie Joe just looked at her. "I'm sorry I scared you. May I come in?"
Jovie smiled. "Of course."
For the past two hours, Billie Joe and Jovie talked and laughed and caught up on things. By the time they finished it was well over two in the morning.
"Jovs, I am so glad we could talk like that again. You just don't know how much that meant to me!"
Jovie smiled. "Me too. How are you doin'? I mean, you are a free man and all, so you must be doin really great, huh?"
Billie Joe frowned. "No. I feel so empty and lost. I miss the times when you used to come and see me and the guys and hang with us at The House...back when you were mine."
Jovie got up off of her bed where she was sitting with Billie and walked to the window. To see if anyone was watching her and him. She would never ever be able to forgive herself if something bad happened to her.
Billie knew just as soon as he muttered those words that he had made a horrible mistake. He had to get out of there.
"I'm sorry Jovs. I better get going."
Just as he got up to leave, she grabbed him and kissed him. They kissed for what seemed like 1,000 hours!
When they stopped kissing, they just laid down on the floor in silence. Not one of the two of them knew what to say, and to be honest, they didn't care at that moment.
Billie Joe had to break the silence. "I have to get going Jovs, I'm really tired."
"So soon?" she said to him, smiling.
"Yeah," he said, as he knelt down and kissed her one more time. "Oh! Jovs, I forgot to ask you something."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. Me, Tre, and Mike are having sort of a party amongst ourselves at the river next Friday night, late. Just wonderin' if you could come."
Jovie put her hand to her temple and pretended to ponder this question as if it were so hard. She loved to watch him squirm. "Of course."
He smiled. "Great. Jovs?"
"Yeah?"
"I just wanted to let you know, that I love you. In case the sky falls down on our heads, I will love you till the end of time and beyond! Please don't forget that."
And he jumped out the window to get back to Berkeley Punk House. Jovie smiled. Sadly, she would never forget that moment of those words as long as she lived, because it would the last time.
For across the street, The Rats had a spy, which was now on his way to report everything he had just witnessed.
Tre, who was trying desperately to stifle giggles, said, "Why don't you just get over yourself and tell her how you feel about her?"
