You better back your shit up, chapter 3
Adrienne Nesser, who used to have the alias of Adrienne Armstrong was gaving dinner with a friend in town. Sitting by the window waiting for her friend to return from the bathroom she idly watched the rain drip drop on the glass window. Her gaze travelled upward after following one particularly large drop fall to the fall.
She froze as she saw a man, soaking wet and looking fit to kill strid eon past the window. He looked familar, she thought for a second who it could be? Her hand clapped her mouth when she realised it was Tre Cool. What the hell was he doing wandering around the town in this stupid weather and was stained with what Adi
assumsed was tomato ketchup. Without a moments hesitation she reached for her cell phone then debated who to ring, Mike or her ex husband? She couldn't ring Billie Joe, she knew that for sure, he'd go back to creepy bastard mode and start begging her to come back again. Sighing and feeling defeated she rang Mr. Dirnt.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mike it's Adi." She said twisting a dread through her fingers.
"Hey Adi whats going on?"
"I'm in Louie's Restaurant downtown and I've just seen Tre stride past the window soaking wet and covered in sauce or some other kind of food."
A gasp escaped Mike's lips, "Thank Christ you've seen him..."
Adi could here mumbling in the background then Mike going,
"No, Bill, No she's in a restaurant don't be a prick..." Mike's tone
changed it became more agitated,
"Thanks Adi, were gonna scoot down there now and get him. See you soon."
"Bye Mike, say hi to Billie Joe for me."
Mike put the cell back on the table whilst Billie made a dramatic lunge for I in a desperate attempt to talk to his ex-wife,
"Whatdidshesay...issheokay? Whatsgoingon...Mike?" Billie stood up looking at his friend. Eyes desperate for infomation.
"No Bill, she saw Tre down town so now where gonna go and get him come on."
Billie followed Mike to his friend's car helplessly looking downtrodden, "so she didn't want to speak to me?"
"No Bill, she said hi thats it, she was in a restaurant."
Mike pulle dout his driveway and headed for downtown, he had a faint idea where Tre would be.
"What? Who with? She couldn't be eating alone. Who was she with?"
"Look Bill I DON'T KNOW. Okay? She didn't say, I just assume its with a friend is all." Billie stared at his friend, heartbroken. He couldn't concentrate about Tre now, all he wanted to do was just talk to his ex wife at least let her know that he loved her no matter what.
Mike stopped, they had come to ther destination. Billie got out of the car and recognised immediatly where he was, Tre's favourite bar. Walking in they noticed it was empty, dingy and dark in the day compared to the nights they used to spend here after being in the studio. Mike spotted Tre in the corner, hunched over a beer and staring at the floor. He looke dup when Billie and Mike approached him.
"What do you guys want?" he frowned at them as they took as eat opposite the drummer.
"Tre, come on man, we're sorry...are you okay? Jeez, you're soaked and covered in sauce...how many hot dogs did you eat man?" Billie laughed.
Tre looked ill at that moment, the blood from his face drained and his pupils went huge.
"Er...yeah...I'm sorry too." He blurted out, grabbing his left hand that had begun to shake. Mike smiled at him, his eyes staring with a kindness that showed in
the faint crows feet tha erupted from the corner of his eyelashes.
Tre's stomach tossed, he wished mIke would stop lloking at him like that. If only he knew.
