A Lifelong Bond, chapter 1

I walk a lonely road
The only one I that have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Were the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

I walk alone I walk alone
I walk alone I walk a...

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I'll walk alone

My names Cassidy, Cass for short. Why the lyrics you ask? Sadly enough, this is the song that explained my life, until I met Tre. It all started September 7, 2010; when my dad was hit by a car, and my mom left me. After she left, I had gone to my favorite place in the world, the deserted swing between the park and the little lake, to cry my 13 year old eyes out. Until, I heard his voice.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I didn't quite understand how he found this place, so I was a little freaked out.
"Um, how did you find this place?" I asked, not too nicely.
He laughed a bit and replied, "Used to come here myself when I was younger."
Hmm, he at least isn't stalking me, but I am not so sure as talking about my problems with a complete stranger.
"So, what's wrong?" he asked. I stared into his deep blue eyes, wondering if he was okay. His face seemed familiar, as did his voice.
"Nothing," I replied quietly. He stared at me and put his hand on my shoulder; I was a little freaked out at first, but then realized that he wouldn't do anything.
"Hmm, are you sure? We could go for a walk, I know I don't know you and all, but it really is easier to get over your problems by talking about them, and I understand if you feel uncomfortable," he said, sympathetically, his tone had made me give in.
"Yeah, sure," I said, shrugging my shoulders; even though I didn't know him, he seemed so comforting. His eyes lit up, and gave me his hand to help me up.
"So, what's wrong?" he asked as we started walking towards the park. I was still wondering if it was wrong to put my problems on to him, but he seemed like he wanted to help me, so I told him everything. He looked up at me, his deep blue eyes glassy with tears. He took my hand and put his other hand on my shoulder.
"Oh my god, I am sorry, I really am," he said, shaking his head, sighing. I instantly felt more sorry for him than I felt for myself.
"You shouldn't be, I shouldn't have dropped my problems on you," I said in a weird tone I couldn't quite describe.
"I am glad you did, you should have, you've done the right thing, poor kid," he said, with an indescribable emotion. I really didn't know what to say to that.
"Um, listen, I know this is a weird time to be saying this, but, I was walking to friends house, and wanted to know if you would wanna come along, they have kids your age," he asked. I was happy that he asked, because if he left, then the only thing I could do was go home. A rush of relief passed through me.
"Yeah, it would be cool to know kids my age," I said, remembering days at school where people would only make fun of me.
"Awesome, so, I forgot to ask your name, mines Tre," he said, as I was dumbstruck, it all came to me. The eyes, the voice, the clothes, the tattoos, it was THE Tre Cool, from my favorite band. He saw the look on my face and laughed.
"So, I take it you know who I am?" he asked, smiling, all I could do was smile back and nod.
"So, you're a fan?" he asked, seeing that I was pretty happy in meeting my idol. He was beaming, he knew I was happy.
"Yeah, you guys are great, and my name is Cassidy, Cass for short," I said, grinning. I loved Green Day, their music and childish antics were unbelievably awesome. Tre reminded me of my dad, sympathetic at times, otherwise, funny as hell. When my dad died, I lost a big part of me. My world was crashing down.
"I like your name, it's pretty," Tre complimented. He was really nice, and he already offered me into his life. I smiled to myself. Maybe my life doesn't suck as much as I thought.
"Thanks. I like yours too," I replied quickly. Suddenly, I remembered something, but I shouldn't bring it up now, it would ruin the moment.
"So, we're here," Tre said, scratching the back of his neck. We stopped walking and I looked up. Right there, in front of me, was the best house I have ever seen.
"Holy fuck," I whispered. Tre noticed my language and laughed. I didn't even notice, I was too mesmerized by the house.
"You use cuss words? Aren't you a little young?" he asked.
"Um, yeah, I cuss, but if you don't like it, I'll stop," I said, shrugging my shoulders.
"Nope, it's okay, just didn't expect it, that's all, I am sure Billie and Mike won't mind either," he said, grinning. I was about to explode, I am meeting Green Day? Wow, this day is changing drasticly.
"Okay," I answered, trying to hide my excitement, which I was doing terrible at. Tre knocked on the door, and a woman with black and blond dreads answered the door with a smile.
"Uh, hello Tre, um, isn't she a little young?" she asked. I giggled at that, until Tre started to speak.
"Adie, it isn't like that, she's a friend, I asked if she wanted to come over." he said gruffly. Behind Adrienne was a crash and a "Fuck Jakob!" I couldn't help but laugh at this. I saw two boys running around trying to kill each other. One appeared to be 16 years old, and the other 13 or 14.The younger one walked over to the door way.
"Mom, Joey is being an idiot!" he cried, and then looked over at me, and as soon as I saw him, I fell in love. Hazel eyes and reddish-brown hair, his lips lush and soft looking, his dress style was very appealing. He looked at me again and was speechless also. He gulped while sticking his hand out for me to shake.
"Hi, name's Jakob, so, uh, not to be rude, but aren't you a little you-"He was cut off by Tre, who sighed madly.
"Look, she's a friend, she came over, I am not that much of a perv, okay?" Once again, burst into laughter, as soon as I did, Jakob laughed as well.
"Tre, can I talk to you?" Adrienne asked. Tre nodded his head and Adrienne led him over to the kitchen. Jakob looked at me and smiled.
"God, his smile is to die for," I thought.
"So, would you like to come in?" he asked shyly. I nodded and allowed myself to be pulled into the house. Adrienne's and Tre's conversation was hardly heard.
"Her father-" I heard Tre, and then I heard Adrienne gasp. Great, more sympathy. Jakob then led me into a room where two men were fighting over a play station control.
"God Mike, it's my turn!" the man with the black hair shouted. The man I was guessing to be Mike sighed and threw the controller at other man.
"Here Billie, have the fucking controller!" he shouted, and me and Jakob giggled at this. The two men looked over at me confused, then smiled.
"So, Jakob, brought home a girl I see?" Mike asked. I blushed madly and Jakob noticed this and sighed.
"Nope, Tre brought her," he awnsered. At this Billie spat his drink out, which I had assumed to be beer. He had a look of disbelief on his face.
"Whoah, aren't-" I cut him off. "I am not dating, or sleeping with Tre, he wanted to bring me over to meet you." As I said this, a look of relief spread over his face.
"Well then, Jakie, you have a chance then!" Mike said. I blushed again, as did Jakob. Adrienne and Tre walked out of the kitchen and into the living room and Adrienne embraced me into a tight hug. Mike, Billie, and Jakob looked real confused. Tre mouthed the word "later" to them. Jakob grabbed my arm and pulled me gently away from Adrienne.
"C'mon, let me show you around," he said, pulling me into the other room. He looked around before staring at me. He was trying to hide it, but not doing a good job.
"So, uh, what's your name?" he asked politely. God,he was so cute. His smile made me melt. Just after thinking this I realized he asked me a question.
"Cassidy, but call Cass for short," I replied, looking him in the eyes. He grabbed my hand and showed me around the house. After a "tour," we headed back into the living room. Before we got in there, it was silent, and a couple sighs.
"Poor kid," I heard someone whisper. I groaned. Jakob looked over at me questiongly, but I shook my head.
We walked into the room and everything was quiet, until everyone lunged at me, giving me hugs. I had a hard time breathing, it was a fucking death trap.
"Uh, okay, I really don't know what's happening, but, could I have a little space here?" I asked, as politely as I could. They all got off of me and said sorry.
"Um, well, let's play poker!" Billie said. That was...I dunno, random? Yeah, that's the word.
"Ugh, dad, let's play something else?" Joey said. Joey looked exactly like his father, but, taller. Adrienne nodded agreeing.
"How about we get to know Cassidy?" Adrienne asked. Wow, I've never been called Cassidy, I almost didn't know what she was talking about.
"Umm, I really have to go, my mo-" I cut myself off, and shrugged.
"Uh, I should go, I'll see you soon."
"Aww, do you have to?" Billie and Jakob asked at the same time, and everyone else also had a desperate gleam in their eyes. I checked my watch.
"Uh, yeah, I could stay a little longer," I replied, smiling inside. Adrienne smiled and put her hand on my shoulder.
"You're welcome here anytime you want, hun," she said. This made my heart swell. I could see Jakob trying to hide his excitement.
"So, who wants pizza?" Tre asked, glad that everyone was getting along. Everyone's hand shot up.
"Okay, I'll order," he replied walking into the kitchen. What I didn't know is that everyone had plans to keep me around a lot longer than I had expected.
