A Lifelong Bond, chapter 3
"I'm exhausted!" I said, putting my shopping bags on the floor. We had practically bought out the mall. You can never say no to Adie.
"Thanks again, Adie. It was really nice of you to buy me all of this stuff," I said, plopping down on the floor.
"No problem hun, it's about time I had a female friend to hang out with," she said, giving me a hug. I hugged her back and saw Tre and Billie leaning on the doorframe. Billie looked at all of the stuff me and Adie bought, wondering whose money was spent.
"Hey, looks like you girls had a good time," Billie said, smiling. Adie and I nodded. Jakob walked in the room. Tre had a smirk on his face. Billie and Tre pretended they were kissing, mocking us. We both flipped them off.
"Cass, do you want to play Halo with me?" Jakob asked, pointing to the Xbox. I smiled and nodded.
We finished the game, and I ended up whopping his ass. He looked dumbfounded at the screen. I smirked and patted his shoulder.
"Better luck next time dude," I said, smirking over my shoulder. He smiled and looked down.
"I'll see you later. Tre is going to take me home. Bye," I said, smiling. He waved as I left.
"So, Cass, did you have good time with Adie?" he asked. I nodded.
"She's really cool," I said, smiling. He patted my shoulder.
"That's nice to know," he said, smiling to himself.
"So, you and Jakob had a good time?" he asked. I blushed and looked down.
"It was just a kiss on the cheek," I mumbled. He chuckled and nodded his head.
"Yeah, yeah. What ever you say," he joked. I scoffed and bumped into him. He looked at me weirdly and bumped me back. We arrived at my house shortly. He gave me a hug.
"See you later," he said and waved good bye. I waved back and fell asleep.

Emenius Sleepus belted out of my clock radio. I moaned and got up. It had been two weeks since that shopping day with Adie. I had been hanging around with Tre a lot since then. He had been quite out of it, like he was thinking a lot.
Flashback
"Are you okay Tre?" I asked, snapping him back into reality.
"Oh, huh? Yeah." He said and ruffled my hair.

He's always been like that around me. I was making a cup of coffee when there was a knock on the door. I answered it and there stood a jittery looking Tre. He jumped when he saw me.
"Hey, Cassidy, I have something to ask you," he said, scratching his neck. I nodded and let him in.
"Yeah, Tre. What is it?" I asked him. He looked at his thumbs.
"It's a big question," he warned...I nodded, confused. He gulped and collected his composure.
"Will you move in with me? Like, um, family? I know what it's like to be alone."
