The Drummer Girl (Here's your story Emma.), chapter 2
As I walked into the Pritchards house (I hate to call it my house) I hurried up to my room. I didn't want to talk to anyone. Especially not my mum. I walked over to my CD player. I put a CD that Mike had given me at my 16th birthday. I loved it. It was 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. My brother is in a band called Green Day. They were called Sweet Children but they changed it. I liked when they called themselves Sweet Children. I don't really understand why in earth they changed it.
Oh well. I threw myself on my bed. I buried my head into my pillow and cried.
Meanwhile, downstairs Mike and his friend came intrough the door.
"Mum?" Mike yelled. "Is Emma home?"
"It sounds like it," she answered.
Mike ran up the stairs and over to my bedroom door. He knocked on it.
"Go away!" I said trough my tears. "I want to be alone."
"Emma, open the door. I just want to talk to you," Mike said.
"NO Mike. Go away!"
He started to kick the door in. I walked into my closet and locked the door. This he couldn't kick in. It was made of hard metal. I sighed as I softly sang along to Dry Ice.
"Oh I Love Her, Keep Dreaming Of Her, Will I Understand, If She Wants To Be My Friend
Oh I Love Her, Keep Dreaming Of Her, Will I Understand, If She Wants To Be My Friend,"
As it ended with 'The means of pain that's in my heart' I cried more than ever before. I heard how my door swung open. Then there was knocking on the closetdoor.
"Emma? Are you in there? Are you okay?"
I didn't answer. I was too tired. I softly lay down on the closet floor and fell asleep.
When I woke up, I was laying in my bed. I looked around to see that they had maniged to get my door open. I sighed and crawled out of bed. I heard a noice from downstairs. But I was still tired and the rest of the house seemed to be silent, so I guessed that it was just imagination.
I tipptoed downstairs to get a glas of milk. But when I came down, I saw something that almost made me faint. In our living room, stood a man tall as a house, in black clothes, looking at me. He walked over to me and I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. I was paralyzed. I just couldn't move. I passed out. Then after what seemed like 86234 years I woke on the sofa. The first thing I saw was Mike. But he was too busy talking to our parents and his friends to see me. I couldn't move. My whole body felt numb.
"Oh go,." I said weak with a lot of pain in my voice.
They turned around to look at me. I gazed around a little before passing out again.
"Emma....Emma wake up...Sweetheart...Please wake up."
"I think she's dead Mrs. Pritchard. We've done everything that we could. I'm sorry."
Dead? Fuck noo...I can't be dead! Come on Emma!! Wake up! Please dear God... I'm too freaking young to die...please, please, please...
"Wait a minute! hey doc! I think she's coming around..."
"Emma...?"
I opened my tired eyes and looked at the man in white. I sighed with relief. I looked around. My eyes stopped at my mum. She was crying hard.
"Mum..." I said weak and closed my eyes. I opened them again and looked at her. I sighed again.
Tears was coming down my cheeks too. As I looked a little bit closer in the room I could see that it was a hospital room. I hated hospitals, so as usuall, I started to panic.
"Emma...Emma take it easy. There is nothing that can hurt you here!" the doctor said as he tried to hold me.
"Fuck you!" I yelled. "Let me go! I dont want to be here! Where's Mike? MIKE!"
Mike came running into the room.
"Shh sis...I'm here..." he said and took my hand. "Emma calm down. Nothing is going to happen. Okay?"
I looked at him trough my tears. Then I nodded.
"I d-don't want t-to be here. Please Mike, make this go away."
"Then you have to calm down. Please Emma. Calm down."
I listened to him and did as I was told. As the calmness came over me I started to cry hysterically. Mike took me in his arms.
"Shhh...If anything happened to you I would die," he whispered in my ear.
I didn't know that I was so important to him. But I knew that our bonds would get very strong...
