Did she like me or was she just scared of the film? I couldn't get thoughts like that out of my head. Film was over and I went into the kitchen to take the bowl back. I opened the fridge to get a couple of drinks. I pulled two cans of lemonade out and turned around...
I came behind him and waited for him to turn round. He twisted his body around to walk away. I leaned in to kiss him. Our lips met and he kissed me back. After a few seconds he pulled away and smiled. He looked into my eyes for a moment. We made our way back into the living room and Mike put the DVD away.
"So what about your mum, will she be expecting you back home soon?" he said. I looked at the clock; it was 8:00 PM.
"I'm never going back to that hell hole," I stated. Mike looked concerned.
"Well, where are you gonna stay?" he asked.
"Oh... I never thought about that one. I guess I'll have to go back."
"We have a guest room here," he answered. "You can stay as long as you want," he continued. I hugged him.
"Thank you so much," I whispered. He went upstairs to change the sheets on the bed I would be staying in.
Mike came down the stairs. My mum was out at the moment, she always was on a Monday night. When she comes home, which is usually around two o'clock in the morning, she would always be so drunk she puked.
"Mike, I need some stuff from my place, my mum's out so I can go get it," I told him.
"Yeah, I'll come with you," he said. I nodded and grabbed my jacket. Mike put his on. He opened the door for my and let me go first. We made our way down the street and turned the corner. It was Kate again. She was with Megan.
"Oh, they make a perfect couple don't they Meg?" Kate said sarcastically.
"Yeah, the two freaks go well together," Megan added. I felt Mike put his arm round me.
"Forget about them," Mike whispered. They looked at us for a moment. I tried to walk away. Kate pulled my shoulder back.
"Don't touch her!" Mike yelled at Kate.
"Or what?!" Chris came from around the corner. "Talk to Kate like that and I'll kill you!"
"Is that all you can do?" Mike started. "Threaten people?" he finished. Chris stared at him for a moment or two, as if he had nothing to say back.
"I'd shut up if I was you," Chris carried on. "Or I might just get my friends to burn you out again." Oh my god. I couldn't believe he'd just said that. Mike looked hurt. In a split second Mike punched Chris. Chris stumbled backwards and put his hand to his mouth in pain. Chris charged at Mike and began punching him. Chris was on top of him, hitting him round the face. Mike had blood over his face.
"Stop, stop it!" I screamed. I felt tears fill my eyes. I kept screaming at Chris to stop. He ignored me. I tried to pull him off of Mike. Chris reacted and hit me. I fell backwards and landed on my back.
"That's enough!" Kate shouted. Chris hit Mike a few more times before standing up to wipe the blood from his chin Mike had forced him to bleed. I rushed to Mike's side and put my hand behind his head. He coughed up blood.
"Oh my god, look what he's done to you."
