I beg you…don’t cry anymore…, chapter 3

They walked to the little café and talked the whole way.
The subject was mostly Willow.
"Did you have any fun friends where you lived before?" Billie asked.
"Nah... No one really liked me... I had some people to hang with outside of school but, not in school..." was the kind of depressing answer.
"Sooo... you where an outsider?" Mike continued.
"Yeah. Didn't choose it, didn't want it, but that was my life..."
"Well, now you can hang with us! We're outsiders too, so I think we can get along." Mike smiled.
"Yeah, we'll get along, but if we don't get to that café soon, me and my stomach will have serious relation problems! It was enough problems already with the fact that I did hunger strike thing last year... my stomach doesn't trust me anymore!" Billie said and made both Willow and Mike laugh so much that they couldn't move.
"Billie! Stop thinking and TALKING with your stomach!" Mike laughed.
"Hey! My stomach and I have a very close and personal relationship!"
That just made Willow and Mike laugh even harder.
Now they where lying on the ground!
"Jeez... I'll leave you two here to laugh! I'll go ahead! Me and my beloved are quite hungry." Billie sighted and walked on, leaving the two laughing idiots (in this case: Will and Mike...) on the sidewalk.
After a few seconds (or minutes) they calmed down.
"Is he always like that about his stomach?!" Willow laughed.
"Nah, just since he kinda did a hunger strike last year. He had to be rushed to a hospital, and now he's kinda... 'worried' about his BELOVED little tummy..."
"Why the hell did he do that? I don't get why people wouldn't wanna eat! I love eating!"
"Meh.. it was some kinda protest thing he did. I can't remember why... But I gotta ask you... why did YOU do it?" Mike asked, and suddenly sounded serious.
"I've never hunger striked! I wouldn't handle that!"
"Not that. Why did you cut yourself?"
Willow stopped smiling.
She looked down on her feet.
"Cuz' it hurts..." she whispered. "All of it. Everything sucks... I'm hated by most people, even by my mother! My dad's a drunk, I've NEVER had any friends the list goes on and..."
She stopped and got tears in her eyes.
"... I've never felt loved by anyone." A lonely tear fell down her chin.
She looked Mike in the eyes.
Even thought they've just met it felt like she could tell him.
It felt like he also had felt a lot of pain.
It was the same feeling with Billie.
Something sad under that cool punk surface.
"I've done it before. Other times when I felt like this. I did it when I was thirteen, cuz' the girls in my old class pushed me outta the dressing room after gym class when I just had my underwear on... I did it when my dad came home drunk once. I did it when my parents got divorced. This list goes on too... but this was the first time that I wanted it to end."
For some seconds it was nothing but silence between them.
Then suddenly Billie re-appeared.
"Okay! I couldn't leave you guys here! It'd just feel lonely if I sat and ate by myself!" he said as he approached them. "And hey! Who died? You guys look like you've seen ghosts or something!"
Willow gave Mike a "please, don't tell him!" look.
"Nah! Will, here just told me about some bad stuff that happened on her old school. Mean girls and all that..."
"I know that feeling..." Billie laughed. "Now can we please go?"
"Yeah... I'm getting really hungry now too! I mean, those bitches did throw away my food before I could eat anything!"
Both Mike and Willow got up from the ground and quickly looked at each other.
Willow formed the words "I'll talk too you later" to Mike.
The serious feeling where pushed aside as they walked to that damn café.

After just a short walk they where there.
It was a nice little place...
They walked in and found a table at near the windows.
Billie and Mike sat down on one side and Willow at the other.
And soon a waitress came by to take their orders.
She was tall, had long brown hair in a ponytail and wore one of those weird waitress outfits.
You know, a white little dress and a nametag.
Her name was Lindsay.
"What will it be, honeys?" she asked them with a smile. "Nah, just kidding. I know what you two want."
She laughed and pointed at Mike.
"Black coffee and two doughnuts. One chocolate and one caramel."
Mike smiled and nodded.
"You gotta lay back on the caffeine, lad! You're going to be hyper!" Then she pointed at Billie. "Hm, today you want... coffee with milk and sugar and blueberry pie!"
"Ha ha! You're always right, Lindsay!" Billie laughed.
"Something tells me you guys eat here often..." Willow said and looked at Billie and Mike with a smile.
"Yep! But it's not always lots of coffee and cake. We gotta think about the figure!" Mike said and tried to look like a model that shows of her best side... and in the useless try he almost pushed Billie off the bench!
"Hey!" he said and pushed Mike closer to the windows.
The waitress just laughed.
She must have been used to this behavior from Mike and Billie...
Now she turned to Willow.
"And what do you want, honey? I haven't seen you here before."
"Erhm... I'm kinda new... I came here like two days ago..." Willow answered.
"Hey, ain't you and your family living in the old Wilson house?" Lindsay asked.
"Well, the older couple who lived there before was named Wilson, if that's what you mean."
"Yeah, that's what I meant. I like a few blocks from there." Lindsay smiled. "But enough about that! What do you want to eat?"
"Hmm... just a cheese sandwich with paprika for me, if that's okay..."
"Alright! And what do you want to drink? Tea, water, coffee, soda?"
"Mint tea would be nice."
"Okay, then I'll be back in a minute. And Mike, you don't need to work tonight. Tim ain't sick anymore so he's in for tonight," Lindsay said before she walked off.
"Thanks for telling me!" Mike called after her.
"You work here?" Willow asked.
"Yeah, I gotta pay my rent somehow."
"You... don't live with your parents?" Willow asked and raised an eyebrow.
"Ehe... I don't live with my ADOPTIVE parents..." Mike laughed.
"Oh... you're adopted?" Willow felt a bit uncomfortable.
"Yeah, it's no big deal... and right now I live at Billie's house. And I gotta pay some rent... "
"You live at Billie's house?" Once again the eyebrow was raised.
"Yep, which is good cuz' he helps me with the stupid homework..." Billie said and smiled.
"Yeah, yeah... some day you gotta get a brain, Billie!" Mike laughed and knocked on Billie's head. "Cuz' right now... nothing is there!" He looked up. "And... speaking of the quite brainless... Hi Tré!"
"Huh? Who's..." Willow started but she didn't get time to finish the sentence.
Suddenly she had two hands over her eyes.
"Who's there?" some guy with a kind of bright voice asked.
"I thought I was supposed to ask that question," she simply answered. "So now I'm asking, who the hell is there?"
The guy took his hand of her face and sat down next too her.
He had bright blue eyes, short brown hair and a smile that said more than a thousand words.
Here, she had the funny guy!
And judging by the way his eyes "scanned" her (and stopped a LITTLE bit longer by her boobs...) he was a bit "girl-obsessed... "
"Hi gorgeous! I'm Cool." He shook her hand. "Tré Cool!"
"You know that sounds a bit egoistic, right?" Billie said as he smacked Tré over the head.
Willow just laughed.
First day in school and she already met some of the coolest guys she'd EVER met!
"Hi, Tré... I'm Willow... the new girl."
"Then I can say 'hi' again and say, I'm Tré Cool. Drummer in the local and 'The Lookouts!'" Tré said and smiled at Willow again.
"Hey Bill, Tré!" Mike suddenly said. "The homophobia-teacher, Mr. Evans is coming in!"
"Shit! Hey, switch seats! Tré, come here!" Billie laughed.
They all switched seats.
Willow sat next to Mike, and Tré and Billie sat in the seat in front of them.
"What's going on?" Willow asked and looked confused.
"Wait and see... we do this every time Mr. Evans is here!" Mike said as he tried not to laugh.
Willow didn't get a thing, but she did as she was told: she waited.
