Chumps And Chumpettes, chapter 1

Some people believe that dreams come true. Others believe that's a load of rubbish, and what you put into life is what you get out of it. I used to be the latter, but then, I changed.

Me and my best friend Mark used to be really close, in a friendly kind of way: we were even room mates. Some people used to do that stupid: 'Ooooo' sort of noise and be like, 'hat do you two get up to then, sharing an apartment? They used to wiggle their eyebrows at what two 'friends' of different genders could do. We used to be like the three musketeers: Me (Amy), Mark and the air space in between.

One night, we were out at a local pub. We were both a bit tipsy, and Mark, being the only friend I really had, and therefore the closest thing to family I could ever hope for, decided that we should start walking home.
"Mark?"
"Yup"
"I like you. You rock." This I said in a slurred tone, I was after all, intoxicatingly drunk.
"I knew it" he said, and in one push he had backed me up against an alley wall and I could feel his tongue stuck down my throat.
Infuriatingly, I pushed him off:
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"You said you liked me!"
"Not in that way, dumbass!"
"Oh, come on Amy, you know you want it!"
"Get lost!!!" He grabbed me again, and in return I slapped, I punched, I kicked and I screamed, but he didn't back off.

"Hey!" someone shouted. "Get off of her!" The knight in shining armour, with eyes curiously angelic looking(greeny, hazelly sorta thingy... ) swung a punch at Mark, and he fell to the floor. Blacked out.
"Wow" I said with a sigh "Good punch."
"You okay?"
"I think so," I replied. That was a lie, I could feel my lip throbbing, and my arms and legs had turned numb and cold. "I mean, Hi, I'm Amy... Can we get out of here please?"
"I'm Billie Joe, pleased to meet you."

I was the second one to faint that night.
