Don't leave me, chapter 2
two weeks later
I awoke and sat up in the extremely uncomfortable cot type thing the hospital provided me. It was going to a typical day, since the incident. My father was in a coma and I had nowhere to go so I had to stay at the hospital. I hated hospitals, they are so depressing, and they smell funny.
"Good morning!" I said to my dad's lifeless body. I walked into the bathroom.
"Please god, let today be the day," I pleaded. I washed my hands and grabbed a brush and walked out.
"Good morning, sunshine." I jumped and then realized it just Tre.
"Oh, hey Tre!" I walked over to him and sat on his lap. "When do you think he'll wake up?
"I don't know, umm maybe it'll be today!" God, he can read my mind, I swear.
"Mr. Cool, can I see you for a moment?" Tre and I started cracking up.
"Yeah, uh, hold on one second." The doctor rolled her eyes and walked out
"Uh, you're gonna have to get off my lab now..." I jumped up and he walked to the door.
"Don't worry, I'm sure it's not bad news." He walked out and slowly shut the door.
I ran over to my father, kneeled down, and grabbed his hand.
"Daddy, please wake up, please, I'll do anything. I'll take care of you, anything you want, just wake up!!!" Tre walked in and stopped, turned around and walked back out.
"WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!" I almost screamed.
I put my head on his chest and crawled up beside him and cried myself to sleep.
I awoke with everyone staring at me; well, I thought they were staring at me.
"Oh my god, you're awake!" Tre screamed and ran up, I put my arms up thinking he was going to hug me, but instead he hugged the person behind me.
"What do you mean I'm awake, how long was I out, and uh, where the hell am I?" a familiar voice said from behind me. I just sat there, not quite believing what I was hearing. Throughout Tre's little explanation, I sat there, not moving, barely breathing.
"Was this really happening, or was I dreaming?" I thought to myself.
I regained my strength and got up and ran. I didn't know where I was going, all I knew was I had to get out of there. I stopped and leaned up against a wall, trying to catch my breath. I heard some one behind me, but I didn't care, I slid down the wall and started to cry again.
"You run too much!" Tre said, coming over to sit by me.
"I can't do it, I can't go back," I said, crying almost hysterically.
"Why, your father is awake and-"
"It is a dream, I'm gonna wake up and be in even more pain knowing it was only a dream, and he's not waking up he's-" Tre pinched me. "What the hell was that for?"
"See, you're not dreaming, now go back in there and see your dad. Weren't you the one promising him you'd do anything if he woke up? All he wants is to see you now, come on." Tre got up and helped me up.
I walked back into the room that I hated so much and just stood there, dumbfounded. Tre walked up behind me and pushed me a little and I ran and fell into my dad's arms
"Daddy, I love you so much, I don't know what I would do without you, please never leave me."
