Amy's Adventure With Green Day, chapter 3

I stood in the neon light filled hallway, with Mason about three meters behind me. We are in so much shit now. I thought. The door opened and two men walked out into this damp, ugly corridor my brother and I were in. I was so scared it took me at least 30 seconds to recognize who was actually standing in front of me, Mason's speech recovered before mine and he said the exact thing that was on my mind at that moment.

"What the fuck..."

In the bright, flickering neon light stood two people that I would least expect to see. What I was expecting were security guards who would have taken us away and put us in jail for the rest of our lives and we would have become jailbirds. But what I saw was what I would have never imagined.

You have probably guessed it by now, but I was very nervous and scared at that moment, not sitting at home in my comfortable computer chair reading this on the net, safely tucked away in my home.

The two men in front of me were none other than the one and only Mr. Frank Edwin Wright III and Mr. Michael Ryan Pritchard.
a.k.a Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt.

We gazed at them and they looked at us.

"Hello," Mike started off.

"Yes, hi..." Tre said. Both their American accents sounded just as I had imagined, it was the best time of my life.

"Ummm...hi." I replied, not knowing at all what to say. I would have thought that I would have gone psycho and jumped on them, hugging them, etc. But, no. I just stared. I turned and saw that Mason had the same look, I thought I had on my face. We look a lot alike; it is easy to tell that we are brother and sister.

"One, question," Tre said, "How the fuck did you two get down here? I don't see any V.I.P or personnel passes, even though I would have known that you... (looking at me) were too young to have this type of job anyway." He said it in a nice, how the hell did you get here way...if you can imagine what that would sound like.

"I..." I said

"I will tell them Amy." Mason said. I turned around so I faced him.

"I can do it myself Mason!" I said and turned back to face Mike and Tre who I might add, looked just as confused as I did when I saw them.

"I hacked the security system," I said.

Mike laughed, in a friendly way, "No, really. How did you get here?"

"She hacked the system," Mason said, "well, she didn't really hack it, and it was more of a lucky guess."

Mike and Tre looked at me with disbelief.

"No, shit, really?" they both asked at the same time.

I nodded, a bit embarrassed. I could feel the blood rush to my face. I'm still not sure why, maybe because two of my three most favorite people were looking at me. Two very famous people.

The doorknob clicked again. And the following thing that happened just made my mouth drop open in disbelief.

If you couldn't guess who came out the first time you will definitely know who this time.

"Okay," The voice I had listened to for hours yelled back into the doorway without having looked out into the corridor first. The owner of that voice then came walking out the door, still without looking in the corridor, he turned so his back was still to us and shut the door behind him. The black hair (that is now blonde) was spiked up in the typical Billie Joe Armstrong style, the clothes in the typical, cartoony image of Billie Joe. He turned around.

He had a serious look on his face, the one that we know from many of the posters. Which then changed to a smile, then to a smirk and at last to a look of disbelief and misunderstanding.

"Huh?" was the first thing that he said.

Mike and Tre had now turned around and looked at their band mate.

"I think they need to come with us and explain this whole situation to the last detail," Mike suggested.

Billie Joe nodded, still not fully aware of what was going on. He opened the door that he had just shut behind him and walked back in. Mike followed.

"Come with us," Tre said, and walked through the door. I followed him, Mason not far behind.

The room behind the door was large and had comfy lounges everywhere and a big table of food stood in one corner.

"Sit down," Mike said, and motioned to one of the lounges. I sat down and Mason sat beside me. There was no one in the room apart from a strong, muscular, scary looking security guard who was looking at us with wary eyes.

"It's okay Steve," Tre said, sounding a bit more relaxed and like his usual wild self.

"Now," Mike said and laughed, " Tell us everything that happened."

I looked at the three band members; Billie had sat down in a chair and was looking at us. He was very quiet but seemed interested.

We told them everything, from the trip there and not being let in, to my determination to get into the concert, to how much we almost shit ourselves out there in the suddenly light corridor. Mike and Tre laughed through much of the whole story, especially when we told them we actually didn't know who they were and that we had mistaken them for security guards. I heard the occasional chuckle from the corner where Billie Joe was sitting but was too star struck to look over.

I finished by telling them how pissed off we were when we heard that our tickets were fake. The tickets Mason said he had paid $300 for. A price he found out later was much too high.

"Well, we are going to have to find a way to fix that aren't we," Billie Joe said. I looked over, he had an amused and mischievous look on his face.

"We are so sorry for breaking...what?" Mason said.

I knew how he felt, I thought the same way. I was expecting them to get angry and send the security guard to get us or something. But then, this is Green Day, you can never know what will happen, everything is always so random.

"You are going to get into that concert, somehow," Billie replied.

I smiled, "But why would that be so much trouble?" I asked politely.

"The security cameras saw you breaking in and they have just told us that two teens are loose in the building and that the security is out to get them. Two teens matching your description," Mike said

"So, we are going to have to sneak you in in disguise or something," Billie said. I could tell he was thinking of some evil scheme or extravagant plan to get us in. I looked around at the three of them and they all had that twinkle of oncoming excitement in their eyes.

"So, what can we do?" Mason said...
