Nicotine, chapter 1

"Oh Jesus!" Alison Pritchard yelled startled as she exited her room.
"Nope just us." her brother Mike laughed from the couch.
"I didn't know you guys were gonna be here, don't you have band practice or something?" Alison asked though muffled through the cigarette in her lips that she was lighting.
"Hey Ally, can I bum a smoke?" Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike's best friend asked from his position next to Mike on the couch.
"No, this is my last pack." she denied.
"Fine." Billie answered.
He then walked over to Ally and took the cigarette from her mouth took a long drag and put it back. Ally didn't seem to mind since it was only one drag.
"You guys should really stop smoking." Mike said after watching us both pass the same cigarette back and forth to eachother.
"I could never quit I love it to much." Ally said before blowing smoke and handing the ciggie back to Billie.
"Mmmhmm." Billie agreed.
"I bet both of you couldn't last 6 months without one cigarette." Mike challanged.
"You're probably right." laughed Ally.
"I could do it if I really wanted to." Billie said.
"Yea right." Ally laughed looking at Billie.
"You're just jealous because I can do it and you can't." Billie teased.
"I could so do it." Ally said offended.
Mike laughed from the couch and Billie laughed through the ciggie in his mouth.
"Why don't we make it a bet." Mike suggested.
"What are the terms?" Billie asked interested.
"Ok, you and Ally can't smoke for 6 months. If you do I get to have your entire record collection Ally and I get Billie's new amp, but if you don't smoke for the whole 6 months...I'll buy you a new guitar Bill, and Ally I'll give you my car." Mike set the terms.
"Mike you love your car and you don't have the money to buy Billie a new guitar." Ally stated.
"Yea I know. I also know that you love your record collection more than I love my car and Billie is obsessed with the new amp. You can't do it so it's not like it matters." Mike brushed off.
"Oh you are on, brother." Ally said shaking his hand.
"You in Billie?" Mike asked outstreching his hand for Billie to take.
Billie sighed and shook Mikes hand.
"So when does this start?" Ally asked still passing what might be their last ciggie between her and Billie.
"Right now." Mike said taking the ciggie out of Billie's hand and stamping it out in the ash tray.
He then grabbed Ally's pack that she had been holding and removed all the ash trays and lighters in the house.
"Oh this is gonna suck." Ally and Billie said at once.
"At least we aren't going through this alone, it won't be that bad." Ally suggested.
"It's gonna suck." Billie said leaning his head back on the back of the couch.
"I know." Ally groaned and doing the same as Billie had.

The next day Ally and Billie, who has stayed the night, were sitting on the couch watching tv and vigerously biting their nails, there was tons of empty and unopened gum packets on the coffee table before them.
"How ya guys doin'?" Mike asked coming in the living room holding coffee.
"Fine." Ally answered quickly.
"Just peachy." Billie spat.
"You guys should get out do something to get your mind off of it." Mike suggested.
"Yea I guess that couldn't hurt." Ally agreed.
"Wanna grab some lunch and then maybe a movie?" Billie asked.
"Yea sounds good." She agreed before getting up and going into her room to change.
"Dude your going on a date with my sister." Mike said while taking sip of his coffee.
"It's not a date, we're just...friends." Billie said looking down.
It was no secret to Mike that Billie had always liked his sister.
"Just ask her out man, what's the worst that could happen?" Mike advised.
"I could loose her." Billie said.
"Oh well...dont' think about that. Just try it." Mike got in before Ally walked back in the room fully clothed and ready to go.
"Ok I'm ready. What were you guys talking about?" she asked.
"Nothing, you look great let's go." Billie smiled at her as they exited the house.
"Thanks." Ally blushed pulling hair behind her ear.
"For what?" Billie asked as he opened car door for her.
"For saying I look great." Ally said while getting in the car.
Billie smiled while walking around the car and getting in the drivers side.

They had lunch at a small diner and then got coffee and were walking down the street to the movie theater.
"God I could use a cigarette right now." I said leaning against the wall of the movie theater.
"I know what you mean." he agreed watching while she leaned her head back against the wall and closed her eyes.
He just stared at her for a few moments, before standing infront of her and slowly sliding one arm around her waist. Ally's eyes flew open and met Billie's gorgious green eyes. She say anything she just returned his star. Billie then placed one hand on her cheek and slowly brough his lips to met hers. She didn't pull away or protest she just kissed back, by sliding her hands up his chest and around his neck. He took this as a sign and pressed her harder up against the wall. He smirked against the kiss when she let out a small moan. He slowly pulled away and watched her reaction. She kept her eyes closed and smiled.
"That was better than any cigarette I've had." she smiled which made Billie smile.
Billie leant forward and whispered in her ear.
"You're like my nicotine."

"Nope just us." her brother Mike laughed from the couch.
