Untitled, chapter 7
Rain was driving behind Billie's car, on the way to his house. When they got there Billie and Rain came in. Joey and Jake came running in and hugged their father. Adie came right behind them, then she saw Rain. Rain looked at Adie (knowing there might be something wrong.), then looked away and picked up her bag.
Jake looked at Rain "Hey, there." he said.
Rain was startled"Hey," she replied.
Billie went up to Jake "Why don't you show her were she will sleep to night. Huh?"
"Okay dad, come on Rain follow me I'll show you were your going to sleep tonight," he said while taking her bag and both went upstairs. Joey sat in the living room on the couch watching television. Billie and Adie sat at the table and talked for awhile ( something about a phone call from the hospital.) Joey heard the conversation about the hospital and Rain, then he went upstairs to get ready for bed. After Adie and Billie talked they both went to bed, then Jake and Rain.
Rain had awoken and went downstairs, she sighed then went to bed, not in the guestroom but on the couch. She couldn't wait to see Tre tomorrow.
Rain awoke earlier than the others. She went upstairs and got dressed. She put on a black tube top, with a black blazer, ripped jeans and put her hair up in a ponytail. She put on white socks and black converse. She went downstairs, she saw a coffee machine and made herself a cup. Then she sat on the couch. Jake had awoken, and went downstairs. He saw Rain. "Good morning Rain," he said.
Rain got startled again. "Hey Jake, good morning," she replied.
A couple of hours later the rest of the family woke. By the time they got downstairs, Rain had disappeared to go see Tre. When she got to his room, Tre was gone. She was scared and she asked the nurse. The nurse said that he had passed away late last night.
Billie got to the hospital and saw Rain. "Rain," he said, "I'm sorry I... " he got interrupted.
"You and Adie knew didn't you." she said as tears filled her eyes. Billie went quiet, Rain was broken hearted. Billie asked Rain if she wanted to go home with him. She nodded and went with him back to his house.
"Rain, Rain, RAIN!" Billie yelled as he was shaking her to get up. She awoke from his yelling, she had a few tears coming from her eyes.
"What's wrong Rain?" he asked.
"I had a nightmare that Tre... died. That you and Adie never told me what had happened." she replied, her eyes were bloodshot and it was very late at night. Billie tried to comfort her, he said that you can stay here and help Adie while he'll go get Tre in the morning. Rain nodded and went back to sleep.
*Next Day (or morning)*
Rain awoke and was helping Adie by doing some house chores. Billie came home, Tre was right behind him. Rain was doing laundry when Adie yelled for her to look out the window and quickly.
"Hey Rain come here," she told Rain, Rain came up to her at the window.
"TRE!" she yelled while running out the door hugging her love.
"HONEY!!" he yelled back while hugging her tightly. A while later they all went in. Rain had missed him very much, and told him about the nightmare she had. He missed really much too, they both kissed and stayed a while at Billie's house before they went home.
