Evil Sisters Can Help Sometimes!, chapter 2
"Hey, my band's playing a gig tonight at a local club, wanna come?" Billie asked.
"Sure," I replied, "I'll just go tell my mum and dad where I'm going."
"Ok, meet you out here in 5, yea?"
"Yea," and I ran home. When I got into the house I leapt up the stairs and grabbed my wallet, phone and some money. I came back down stuffing the wallet into my jeans pocket.
"Where do you think you're going at this time?" my mum asked coming out of the kitchen, wet rubber gloves on her hands.
"Out."
"Where?"
"To a gig, I'll be back late," and before she could argue, ran out the door to find Billie sitting in a car waiting for me.
"Wow. Where did you get the car from?" I asked.
"It's my mums," he replied.
"You lucky sod, mum and dad won't buy me a car." I said enviously.
He laughed and we drove off. He slowed down outside a white house with a small front garden and quite a few shoes in the porch.
"I gotta get my mates," Billie explained, "be right back, 'k?"
"Sure," I said as I watched him climb out of the car.
He entered the house a few minutes later returned with two more people tagging along.
"Dude," said one guy when he saw me, "there's some chick in your car."
Billie laughed.
"Tre, Mike, meet Teresa. Teresa these are my friends and fellow bandmates, Tre and Mike."
"Nice to meet you dudes," I said, "listen, my mate lives around the corner. Can we stop by and pick her up so I'm not left in the mosh pit on my own?"
"Sure," said Billie starting up the car, "just tell me the way."
I directed him to Chloe's house and he pulled up. I clambered out of the car and ran up to the front door. I knocked a couple of times and waited patiently for Chloe to answer. She did.
"Dude, wanna come to a gig with me a a few guys?" I asked
"Sure, hang on," she replied. Five minutes later we were clambering back into Billie's mum's car and as he started up and drove off to the Gilman I introduced Chloe to Mike and Tre.
When we arrived the hall was empty so me and Chloe stood and talked as Mike Tre and Billie Joe set up.
"You like Billie don't you?" Chloe said as she caught me looking at Billie as he plugged in his guitar and began playing, tuning as he went.
"NO!" I said and hit her arm.
"Denial is the first sign of love," she smiled and then began to dance around me chanting, "Tez is in love, Tez is in love!"
"Hey, you've had your eye on Tre all evening," I reminded her.
"I know, he's hot," she said.
"Well I think Billie is hot, anything wrong with that?" I asked.
"Hmmm..." she thought for a little bit, "can't think of anything, but hey. Tez is in love, Tez is in love."
I ignored her and soon the hall was full and Green Day began to play. They were good, in fact they were amazing. Billie sang and played his guitar perfectly and Tre regularly got up to run around his drum kit. Me and Chloe moshed until someone hit me in the stomach and I stumbled into the bathroom laughing with Chloe trying to regain my breath after being winded.
"I look shit!" I said catching sight of my red face and wide pupils.
"You look stoned!" said Chloe.
"I always look stoned," I said splashing water on my face, "cept I never am. I'm weird like that."
"You're weird full stop." I hit her. She laughed and we return to the gig and continued to mosh until the end.
When everyone had left we went up to Billie Joe, Mike and Tre.
"You were amazing!" I said.
"Thanks," said Billie going slightly red.
Chloe and Tre were talking quietly to each other. He whispered something in her ear and they walked off.
"Hey, Chloe, how you getting home?" I yelled after her. She shrugged.
"Can I stay at yours?" I nodded and she and Tre disappeared.
"Well, I'll be off then," said Mike yawning. "See ya."
"Bye." So it was just Billie and me. After a couple of minutes I broke the awkward silence.
"I'd better go and get Chloe, mum and dad'll be annoyed if I'm not home soon."
I began to walk off in the direction that Tre and Chloe had headed but Billie grabbed my elbow. I looked around at him.
"What?" I asked.
"Just wait." He said.
"For what?" I asked.
He came closer and stood facing me. I looked up into his piercing green eyes and he bent his head downwards. I could feel his hot breath on my mouth as our lips touched and then I found myself in the most perfect kiss I had ever experienced. Billie slipped his arms around my waist and I fell against the cold stone wall. I ran my hands up his chest and through his hair. When we broke apart he looked at me for a couple of seconds, "That," he whispered in my ear, smiling.
"Sure," I replied, "I'll just go tell my mum and dad where I'm going."
