Where's Blue...?, chapter 1
It was August 23rd 1999... Billie Joe was strumming happily with his favorite guitar "Blue." Mike Dirnt sat in the kitchen studying his bass notes. Tre Cool looked bored sitting in a corner twirling a drumstick with his right hand. Suddenly Tre exclaimed, "I'm bored you guys! Let's go the mall and see if we can spot any hott babes." Of course both Billie Joe and Mike agreed.
"Look over there Billie Joe! That girl's checking you out, and she's not bad looking either!", Mike announced. "I don't know Mike" Billie Joe softly said, "I still miss her." "Oh come on it's been two weeks since you broke up with ole' Whatsername!" Tre said. "Well I don't know... That girl over there's ok but I'm not really interested in her." "Oh ok buddy that's all you had to say." said Mike. "Hey what do ya say we stop at FYE and see if any bodies checking out our new CD!" So they all headed down the hall to the music store FYE...
There were a few people standing in the Green Day section but only one caught Billie Joe's eye. She had short black hair and was wearing a Green Day concert T-shirt and blue jeans with a hole in the left knee. She was standing there reading the back of Green Day's latest CD and was laughing with a group of friends. Suddenly she turned her head to look say something to her friend but she stopped when she layed eyes on them. Her face suddenly turned blank and she stared at Billie Joe, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt with an open mouth. Suddenly she turned to a male with black curly hair and wispered something in his ear. It was obvieous what she said because right after she said it his head turned their way. "Roby tell me I'm not crazy." She said to him as they both stared at the three. "You're only crazy if I am Megan" Roby replied. "Oh my god Robert I can't belive it! They're actually here!" Megan exclaimed. "whoa guys look's like we got a couple of fans here" Tre said. "Yeah" said Mike. "Hey Billie, there a problem?" "No it's just that girl over there..." he trailed off. "Which one? The tall blonde?" questioned Tre. "No right there, the one with the black hair." With out saying any thing else Bille Joe started walking towards Megan and Roby. "Oh my god Roby he's headed this way!" "I know what do we say?" "I don't know just act casual!" "Hi" Billie Joe said as he looked into Megan's brown eyes. "Hey" Megan replied. She couldn't help but get lost in his beautiful green eyes. "my name's Billie Joe, but judging by you're shirt I'd guess you already knew that." A smile crept across Megan's face, "Yeah I knew that. Green Day's like my favorite band! Oh my name's Megan by the way." Megan began to laugh softly. "I like your laugh" Billie Joe sweetly said. Megan's smile grew bigger and she said "thank you." "How would you and your friend here like a couple of back stage passed to our concert tonight?" "Oh my god that would be awsume! Thank You so much! Roby say thank you!" Roby looked like he just awoken from a trance, "wha, oh thank you so very much!" he exclaimed. Billie Joe let out a couple of laughs and then said, "Ha, well see you guys later then." He pulled a couple of passes out of his back pocket and handed them over to Megan. Megan gracefully took them from him, her eyes never left his for a second. "Yeah see ya." Megan softly said as Billie Joe turned to walk away. Megan stared after them until they turned the corner. Billie Joe turned with a smile and waved her good bye. Megan waved back. As soon as they were gone Megan turned to Roby and exclaimed "Can you believe that Roby! We got back stage passes to a concert that was sold out for ages!" "Yeah but what I can't believe is how Bille Joe was checking you out like that!" "What, you really think he was?" "Totally Meg, his eyes never left yours for a second!" "Really, ya think, wow..." Megan trailed off as she stared into space trying her best to remember how Billie Joe's bright green eyes had looked into her own.
Later back at the house...
"Man Billie Joe you must really of liked that girl at the mall." Tre Cool said. "Yeah she was perfect, a girl like her makes my forget all about Whatsername!" "Hey guys!" Mike yelled from his bedroom. "Come here quick!" Tre and Billie Joe rushed off to Mike's room. "What is it?" Tre asked. "Look someone shattered my window, looks like someone broke in. You guys missing anything?" Just then Billie Joe remembered! He forgot to put his favorite guitar "Blue" back in his closet! He ran to search the house for it. He looked every where, the basment, the kitchen, under his bed, even in the bath room shower. "It's gone he said in a sad voice." "Whats gone" Tre and Mike both said at the same time. "'Blue', someone took her." ...
