Hit and Run, chapter 1
Ruby Anderson hung around with three guys and one girl.
Ruby had been a rocker all her life, wearing the clothes, listening to the music, and hanging with other rockers, mainly boys. And when she got to high school, she didn't see any reason to change friends.
She was short and thin, with long black hair with red streaks, and had sky blue eyes to die for. She only looked about twelve, but she was nearly seventeen.
Ruby had a crush on one of the guys she hung around with. Billie Joe Armstrong. But it was secret; to him, Ruby was just a pal.
Billie was one of those rebel guys, who didn't give a damn what others thought of him. Really good looking, but never seemed to appeal to anyone else but Ruby.
Billie was small, with black hair, and emerald green eyes, often outlined with eyeliner. Perfect, that's what Ruby thought. But everyone had their faults, she realized; for one, Billie had a high pitched giggle that made Ruby's teeth itch. And he always went along with any prank that Trè could cook up.
Frank Edwin Wright III was another of the guys Ruby hung with. No one called him Frank, only his mother, and teachers. He had a girlfriend, who he stuck by all the time; she was the only girl that Ruby hung around with.
Grace was Ruby's best friend, always has been. She had long green hair with blue streaks and brown eyes, before she completely disobeyed her parents and dyed her hair, she was always complaining that having blonde hair and brown eyes was unnatural. This had always been a joke between Ruby and Grace.
