We Will Run Away Together Hand In Hand, chapter 4
Back upstairs Billie was teaching Rebel a song on the guitar. He was sat behind her with his legs around her waist. Billie held Rebel's left hand guiding her around the frets and chords. His other hand held her right hand helping her strum certain strings with the plectrum.
Billie had his head rested on Rebel's shoulder as he guided her hands around the guitar with ease. To him Rebel's skin felt so soft against his. Her hair smelt of cinnamon and hazel, the fragrance was so intoxicating that Billie felt a sweet drain most people would get from getting high on 'Mary Jane' all day. Billie could feel the blood rush from his head and surely enough an erection building up inside his pants, he tried thinking of other 'unsexy' thoughts but he felt his hard on grow. Billie was sitting on the bed thinking: 'This is not happening, please don't let this be happening'.
Rebel could feel something poke her back, her eyes widened as she realised that Billie wasn't using either of his hands to poke her. Her idol was getting a boner because of her. She stopped playing and stood up taking the guitar to the other side of the room putting it in its case. As she had her back to Billie, Rebel could grin like a Cheshire cat. She flicked her black hair behind her shoulders and tucked it behind her ears. Rebel wiped her eyes as a force of habit then turned round to see Billie trying to cover up his hard on with his hands. Billie smiled even though his hard on was getting painful. He seriously needed a moment to relieve himself.
"Can you...er...excuse me a moment...I need a toilet break," Billie said then ran out of the room.
Taylor was still walking around the house looking for her bass when Mike spotted her from the studio downstairs. He beckoned her towards him and asked where Billie Joe was. Tre was sitting in the corner drumming on the wall with his sticks. After telling Mike she didn't know where Billie was she asked him if he'd seen her bass anywhere. Mike looked around in case a bass was knocking about.
"What does it look like?" Mike asked
"Well er... it's a black and pink Signature Fender," Taylor replied, Tre looked at her
"I know where that is," he said, "Someone put it outside your sister's room. I haven't seen her yet. What's your name by the way?" Tre asked
"Oh sorry guys," Taylor laughed, "I'm Taylor"
"As you know we're Mike and Tre," Mike said, "Come and sit down with us for a bit, so we can talk"
Taylor sat down with Mike and Tre and they got talking about music and home. Taylor could ask them any questions she wanted to and she took that privilege to the line. She asked all sorts of questions, about their kids, parents, girlfriends and relationships with each other. They asked questions about her and her sister and life back home in New York.
"How old are you?" Tre asked
"Seventeen but our birthday's next week."
"Our? Are you and Rebel twins?"
"Yeah but as you'll see, we're not identical in the slightest. I'd better go and find her anyway."
"You'll see her at dinner," Mike said, "Stay with us a while longer"
After Billie's five minute toilet break he and Rebel were walking around upstairs, Billie was giving the guided tour. He stopped at a closed door and faced Rebel.
"I er... I don't normally let anyone in this room because I come here to think and get away from it all. Since you talked to me earlier about my... problem I'm going to show you what's in here." Billie said. Then Billie opened the door and suddenly covered Rebel's eyes with his hand. He gently pushed Rebel into the room and closed the door behind him. Only then did he remove his hand from Rebel's eyes.
Rebel was greeted by the sight of unseen pictures of Green Day, gold and platinum disks and various guitars hanging up on the wall. Gibsons, Fenders the lot all there on the wall, glistening in the sunlight as if they were the property of the angels. Rebel looked to the corner and stood in awe of what was in a cabinet in the corner of the room. She stepped towards it and looked at Billie Joe.
"Blue? The real Blue?" she asked a little unsure, Billie nodded, "I've heard so much about this guitar, it's like the Holy Grail of all guitarists"
Billie blushed, "Well I wouldn't go that far"
"I would. I'd die for this guitar. The first guitar I had was a Fernandes Stratocaster just like this one" Rebel said placing her hand on the glass that was between her and her idol's most famous guitar, "I loved it until it was stolen"
"That happened to my dad once well drums I mean... Some bastard stole the whole kit" Billie said then signed, "It broke my father's heart"
"Is this him?" Rebel asked, Billie walked over to her to look at the picture, "I heard a lot about him when Wake Me Up was released... That time must have been so hard for you"
"Yeah that's my dad, one of the only pictures of him I have... Rebel?"
"Yeah Billie" she replied still staring at the guitar
"Why do you care about me so much?" Billie asked
