What Are You Going To Do, Billie?...Kill Me?, chapter 10
Nothing could be more wrong with what they were about to do, but why was it feeling so right?
Their bodies couldn't be more closer to each other, they weren't thinking of anything but themselves.
"CALI?!" They both shot away from each other, forcing Billie to fall off Cali and to the floor. Cali's eyes were wide open, trying to catch her breath.
"It's my fucking dad!" She whispered, Billie shot up from the floor. His eyes shooting across the floor of the room, Cali threw back the covers. Throwing back everything on the floor. As they both look for their clothes, finding them and rushing to put them back on. Cali shoved her clothes on while watching Billie did the same. He had a thin body build, but in a kinda muscular way. She could see how the colour of his skin changed from his lower arm throught to his chest.
Their breathing rate was in a rush.
"O. K, o. K, o. K.. Um.." Her eyes shot over to the window as she got an idea. Billie was trying to put his torn apart shoes, stumbling each time he moved. "O. K climb down there.." His head shot up.
"What the fuck?!" He hissed. She tried to think of another idea but couldn't.
"Well what should you do then?! Walk out the fucking door and say hello to my dad?!" He stood himself up and rushed over to the window, she was right... He didn't want to get her in trouble, and that was the last thing he needed.
He opened the window as Cali stood there with her heart pounding through her chest. He lifted one leg up, but then stopped with on leg out the open window.
"This is just between us.." He said looking at her, he was more than serious.
"Cali? Are you in there? Who are you talking to?" The both shot their eyes to each other. Billie quickly put half of his body over the window, then his whole body was gone.
"Ah yeah.. No one, just reading... Hold on.." She said once she couldn't see Billie anymore, she quickly opened up her bedside table draw and took out a book.
She walked over to the door, but before opening she took a breath to calm down and then opened it.
As Billie climbed down the vine fence that was up against the wall he tried no to make a sound. He couldn't slow down his breath, everything was just going to fast, everything was becoming one big blur. He was doing one thing then another, mixing up what he was feeling. He finaly got to the ground, he knew he couldn't make a sound. So there was no point in running over to the fence and climbing over it. The noise could be heard from a block away. So he lent up against the wall.
"Cali we have to talk..." Her dad said calmly, making his way over to her bed. She stood there, praying that he didn't see anything.
"It's kinda late," She said, she looked across the floor once her dad had turned his head. Looking to see if there was 'evidence'.
"It's important... Why is the window opened?" She felt that little shock run up her throat. And a floor down, Billie felt the same thing. He put his back closer to the wall, closing his eyes in the darkness, forcing his breathing to calm down.
"It's hot in here..." Her dad stood up and went over to the window, Cali searched the floor. She knew he would leave something behind, it was a yellow guitar pick, it must of fell out of his wallet. If her dad saw that he would know someone was there. Her dad stuck his head out the window, looking out to the city lights. Billie could feel that he was there.
Cali quickly picked up the pickand shoved it in her pocket, her dad stuck his head back in. Cali dropped the book down on the floor and sat on her bed. She felt the nerves slow down, so did Billie.
"You know that call Lucy had to get this morning?" She rolled her eyes.
"Have you told her yet?"
"Speaking of the devil..." Cali said under her breath once she saw Lucy come into the room.
Her dad sat down next to Cali and gestured Lucy to come in.
"Cali, we're dropping you out of Pinole this week, so you won't have to go to school... Until your first day in boarding..." Billie had heard that, it hit him like a tone of bricks. How could her parents do that to her?
Cali stood up. She could feel that anger rising up inside of her.
"I can't fucking believe you're doing this to me! Why can't you fucking see that this bitch is trying to tear this family apart?!" She screamed, Lucy had a look of disgust on her face.
"No Cali! Your grades are dropping and there is nothing you can do about it! We have made this choice out of what's best for you! And you're going!" Her dad yelled.
"We have! Exactly what I fucking thought!" Cali yelled, just about to punch the living day lights out of the both of them.
"Don't use that laungage here!" Lucy stepped in.
"Don't you fucking dare say that to me! You're not my fucking mother you slut!" Her dad stood up, he had enough.
"That's it Cali! As long as you are living in this house you will do what we say!" He yelled, meaning Lucy and himself as 'we'.
"You know what?... You're not my fucking mother..." She said looking Lucy straight in the eyes. "And you're not my father..."
"You're grounded! Until you go to your new school!" Cali was lucky her dad wasn't the abusive type, with all the things she had said to them... She would of gotten the shit beaten out of her.
Billie was hearing every single thing that was being said... He didn't know what to think. To him Cali had everything that he didn't have, including a father. But what kind of dad has she got for a father?
"I don't give a fuck! As long as I'm out of her fucked up slutty face and yours I couldn't give a shit! Now get the out!" Cali screamed, her dad gave up. Both of them left her by herself.
She was going... No doubt about it.
Billie heard nothing. He knew Cali would be feeling like crap, but there was nothing he could do. He wanted to go back up there and help her. But that would cause more bad than good. So he stopped clinging to the wall and quietly made his way across the grass to the fence. He found a place where he could get his foot on and lift himself over the fence. He did that, trying not to make a sound, he got away and quietly ran to the path way.
What has he done?
This feeling just kept bugging him, he had to stop thinking of her. It was going to tear him apart either way.
He reached down in his pockets at took out his lighter and the pack of cigarettes and lit one up. Trying to take in what just happened..
"Tre! " He stopped walking, he looked up to the dark cloudy sky. He shut his eyes as hard as he could and put his head in his hands.
Tre was one of his best friends, and he was a fucking great drummer.
And he was with Cali...
*
"Oh no..." Cali sunk down into her pillow, thoughts rushing through her mind. Nothing could have been worse than that moment she was in.
Nothing could take away that little thought... And that was Tre.
"How could I do that to him?" She started to feel her eyes well up. "And now I'm stuck here for a whole fucking 2 weeks.,. And the I have to fucking move away to some fucked up boarding school..." All the thoughts were just trafficking in her mind.
"And Billie.., What am I meant to do?" She asked herself, she felt used by her dad. Guilty about Tre.. And strong about Billie.
*
Billie walked into the house, he knew his Ollie was home. And Mike, so he stepped through the kitchen.
"Hey... Where have you been?" Mike's head shot from the fridge door. Billie lent up against the counter and looked down, feeling even more guilty when he looked at Mike. "What's up man?" Mike asked, closing the fridge and standing in front of his best friend.
"You know how all our songs are getting put on 1 album and everything is going great with Al and us..." Mike nodded.
"And?"
"Well what if it doesn't turn out so great? I know we won't quit the band... But what about Al?.. It just drives me fucking crazy," Once Billie started to feel panic he would say anything that was on his mind at the second.
"Dude it'll be okay... Al won't do that, he is just taking some school shit for awhile. And then he's coming on tour... Just don't worry about it," Billie nodded.
"I'm going to get some weed..." With that Billie went and came back, with what he thought was going to solve his problems.
Both Billie and Mike sat in the garage, letting the thick hazy smoke fill their lungs and take them to different places as it took and affect on them.
Billie loved feeling that way, being away from what was his reality.
"Are you going to stay in school?" Mike asked, breaking the silence.
"I just can't fucking stand it there... Y'know? It's not what I want to be fucking doing anyway...So fuck it, besides...We have Green Day," Mike chuckled.
"We I'm going to finish what I started."
Billie bent his head back, letting the sensation of being high take over him.
"I'm just going to fail anyway... I would rather waste my time doing nothing, then wasting my time listening to those dumb fucks talk about getting jobs and what is the difference between triangle and a triangle that looks exactly the fucking same." Mike lazily laughed, Billie bent foward feeling the need to tell him. But he didn't.
"Yeah and about knowing how important it is to know your time tables 'cause it will get you places." Billie chuckled, rubbing the tiredness out of his eyes. Silence filled the room. "Well do what you think it's worth while... I'm going to bed, oh before I go...What's with you and Cali ay?" Billie turned his head the other way.
"Nothing...I hate the girl. Good night Mike." Mike stood there and scratched his head for a second, then he shrugged and left the room.
Everything that Billie said, he wanted to tell Mike. But he couldn't...Mike knew about Cali and Tre. What would he think of Billie? Some whore, trying to get in some girls pants.
But to Billie, Cali wasn't just some girl.
And that was what made it harder for Billie to stop.
***
Sunday came and gone, it was raining the whole day. And it still was...
Cali slept in until 2pm that afternoon. She kept feeling guiltier and guiltier about what happened.
She sat on the couch in front of the t.v, staring blindingly into it. Not paying attention to anything that was on it. For no reason what so ever, she kept on feeling as though she needed Billie there with her, just so she could talk to him.
About nothing, just get taken away by the words he said.
How could she feel that? He was the guy she hated the most. But yet the one she could connect with more than anyone else she had spoken to in her whole entire life. It just made things harder.
She was taken away from her train of thoughts, someone was knocking on the front door. It was most likly to be her dad coming back for something he had forgoten before he went to work, or even worse...Lucy.
She walked over and opened it.
"Tre? What are you doing here?" She asked once she had saw him. A huge explosion of guilt blowing up inside of her.
"I kinda need to talk to you..." She let him in and led him to the couch, they both sat down. Cali was racking her brain out trying to figure out what he needed to say.
"So...What's up?" She asked. He weakly smiled, not a smile you would want to see.
"About us.. Y'know?"
"Y'know...Billie would say that..." She smiled to herself.
"Yeah?" She said. Shaking away that thought.
"I think we're going a bit fast with whole 'together' thing...We ain't really spending time with each other and we don't really know each other that well either." She looked down, biting her bottom lip, getting ready for what he was about to say.
"I was thinking, mabe before we rush into this thing...We should spend time together as friends and get to know crap about each other.." Tre wouldn't normally say these kind of things to girls, but he felt that, that was what he needed to do.
"So you wanna give the 'us' thing a break, and be friends before we go rushing into things?" She asked, giving her own spine on what he was saying. He nodded and looked down to his shoes. She suddenly felt the guilt drift away, she would have to explain herself... For now.
"I think I better go...My dad wants his car ba-"
"-I kinda need to tell you something too..." She cut in before he could stand up.
He looked over to her, wondering what she was going to say.
"Um...My dad, he's kinda sending me to boarding school in 2 weeks..."
He didn't know what to say..
"Why?"
" 'Cause of Lucy. Look I understand if you want to see other girls-" She quickly said, but he cut her off.
"-No...I can't really see any other girl...I just want to make things cool with us, I know I sound like a loser but you deserve it that way..." She looked down, that guilty feeling returning again.
"Tre...You have to understand that when I go away to Berkeley I will hardly ever get to see you. I won't be allowed to go to Gilman or anything... I'm not worth having a guy like you.." He felt hurt when she said that, he was thinking that she didn't want him.
"I really gotta go..." And with that.. He left.
She sunk back down into the couch, she felt like she needed an escape from her mind for awhile. She remembered the weed Erinn had gave her, so she went to her room and before you know it she had smoked a joint and she was taken away.
The rain had stopped, but the grey clouds in the sky weren't moving. She felt light headed, she sat on the couch feeling the urge to do something. She looked over to the door that was next to the kitchen door. She got up and went over to it and opened it she saw her old art stand. She used to paint on it when she was younger, it still had paper on it and some paint.
She took it out and went outside onto the the wet grass, she opened up the 2 paint bottles that were there with it, the only colours that were there were; green and black. She pulled out the paint brush that was in her pocket and started to paint, she loved to paint. She loved art all together, she was a good artist. At least that's what her art teacher said.
She started to paint a girl with black, she had black out line for her body.
Cali stepped back once she was happy with the out line of the girl, she looked at what she had painted, the painting of the girl was holding a gun. Cali wanted to paint something on the girls shirt, so she started to paint a flower pot, with a flower that had a smile.
*
Billie spent most of the day sleeping. Trying not to feel any pain from yesterdays joints, he woke up when he felt the urge to have a cigarette. He stumbled out of bed and went out onto the front porch. He lit up a cigarette and let the drug take away that urge, he looked up to the cloudy sky after walking down the steps. He had put on his black zip up jumper before going outside, along with his black worn out jeans.
He took a drag of the cigarette again, he looked across to the neighbours house, the house next to it was Cali's. There he saw her, standing in front of an art stand that he noticed was a kids one. A smile spread across his face as he watched her, her almost jet black hair all messed up. She was wearing a baggy Misfits shirt and baggy sweat pants.
He thought of the day he spent with Cali, him getting beaten up. And him being with her. He ended up pushing it to the back of his mind. He was sick of thinking about it.
*
Cali took another step back.
"My creation is almost complete! Mwhahaha!" She laughed at herself, doing anything to make herself feel better.
Now what she had painted was; The girl with the gun, a flower pot with a high flower...To what she described it. And she had painted the word Kerplunk! Next to the girl. It was all out lined in black, and Cali wanted to paint some green on it.
She looked up from the painting and saw Billie looking over at her smoking. She laughed when she saw him. His hair was all messy and he looked more of a mess than she did.
That same thought of the night she spent with him came to her mind, she never wanted to think of it again. So she thought of something else everytime it came up in her mind.
*
He saw her look over to him, so he quickly looked away.
He couldn't wipe away the smile that was on his face.
" If she's happy...So am I... " He thought to himself.
"HEY BJ!" He whipped his head around, Cali was waving her hand up in the air. He let out a laugh.
"YEAH?" He yelled back.
"COME OVER HERE! I WANNA SHOW YOU MY MASTER PIECE!" She yelled.
"O. K I'M COMIN' OVER!" He yelled back, she giggled and went back to painting.
The smiled got bigger as he started to walk over to her.
"Ah Mr Armstrong...You must look at my creation," He could tell she was high, he could smell it and see it.
"Ah Miss Right. What have you created?" He walked up beside her, he saw green paint smothered on her cheek.
He looked at the painting. "Holy shit! That's fucking great!.. How the hell did you paint that?" He said looking at her creation.
"I'unno," She shrugged, taking a draw from her last joint.
"Kerplunk?" He read, she laughed and kept painting.
"See how the girl has a gun? And on her shirt she has a flower pot with a flower that looks high?"
"Yeah...It looks awsume,"
"Well the girl is kinda rebel like. 'Cause she has a gun and has a pot symbol on her shirt, and Kerplunk is a word to kinda describe her life...I's going down the toilet," He laughed.
"That's fucking great! But it's not quite done yet..." She lifted her paint brush and raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? Well fix it then BJ..." She laughed and handed him the paint brush with the green paint. He took it and started to paint, she looked at the face he made when he was painting, like a 5 year old kid trying to colour in the line. His tongue sticking out of the corner of his lips. He stepped away from the painting so she could see.
"Green Day..." She read, he nodded.
"Yep...Green Day...The best band in the world is now claiming this master piece,"
She laughed.
"The writing is okay.. But I'll make it better..."
"Oh really now? I am the greatest writer in Rodeo," She blew on the wet paint and it dried up, she took the paint brush with black paint on it.
"Just stand and watch the best writer in the world..." There was silence as she painted, he looked up to the sky.
"I like the rain..." He softly said.
"Me too... It's better than really sunny days, I hate it when it's really sunny," She said not taking her attention away from the painting.
"Voila!...Look at it now!" She stood back.
"Hey! You copied that off the Gilman flyers!" He yelled once he had seen it. She painted Green Day exactly like it was on their EPs and on Gilman flyers.
"I did not! They copied me!" She laughed. He playfully rolled his eyes, they both stood there. Cali was painting some of the painting bits of it with green.
Small rain drops started to fall on the painting. "Oh for fuck sake!" Cali yelled out, Billie let out a small laugh and looked at her frantically close the lids on the paint bottles.
"Looks like rain..." Billie said, pointing out the obvious, knowing that she would become more annyiod.
"Na...It's just the waves crashing on us," She said sarcastically. He laughed again and watched her pack up the art stand. "Here take this," She said ripping off the Kerplunk painting and giving to him.
He stood there in the rain looking at the painting as she went and took the art stand inside, she closed the front door behind her and stood on the front porch looking at Billie, who was on the grass studying the painting. He looked up from the paper and over to her. He walked over to the steps and walked up them.
"Here, I can't hold it forever...I don't wanna get paper cuts," A goofy smile spread across his face. She shook her head and didn't take it from him.
"You can keep it, seeing as though you painted Green Day on it." He grinned happily and folded the paper up. The rain started to get heavier.
"Thanks...I'll keep it forever and ever until the end of time, or until it cuts me and I get pissed off and throw it in the trash can," She raised her eyebrows in shock.
"You bastard!" He laughed.
"I'm kidding! It's cool, I'll find a use for it some day." She smiled.
"Good."
"Hey...Um, where's your old man?" He asked. She shrugged, not really wanting to think of her so called dad.
"I don't know, probably out fucking some 18 year old girl." He looked down, he shoved his hands in his pockets.
"I'm guessing you hate him..." She laughed and nodded, taking a seat down on one of the dry steps. He stood there and lent up against the pole.
"Yeah, ever since he got that bitch of a girlfriend he has changed...Like the only thing that's important to him is his job and Lucy. I kinda miss my mom too...I want to call her but I can't bring myself to do it, her life has most likly changed as well. New boyfriend, new house...I think that she feels the same as me about my 'new' family./." He nodded. He bit his bottom lip.
Billie really didn't remember what having a family with and dad and brothers and sisters was like anymore. He remembered some of the times he had spent with them...But now it all seemed to far back.
"I would never do that if I had a family, I mean...They're your whole life, you made it so you have to stick with it, y'know?" She smiled weakly.
"Billie Joe wants a family..." She said with a small laugh.
"Oh just tease me then! So what? I might one day..."
"No one knows hey?" He shrugged.
"I guess I better go now, leave you to whatever you have to do." He said as he put the painting half way down the back of his paints. Not wanting it to get wet.
"I got nothing to do, grounded. I'm stuck here all day..." She thought he didn't know about the talk she had with her dad. But he did.
"Well if you want to come and talk...You can come over my house if you want,"
Her head started to feel less and less light head.
"Hey...You have weed don't you?" He nodded and laughed.
"Yeah...You want some?"
"Yes! I'm coming over!" She stood up, he stopped leaning up against the pole. She ran over to the front door and locked it.
They both walked out in as they made their way down the pathway. Cali wasn't wearing shoes, she was in her socks and they were getting drenched as they rain flowed down the gravel. Their clothes weren't getting as wet though.
"Y'know...You're spose to wear shoes with socks..." He pointed out as he looked down to her feet.
"Yes mom..." She started to run down the pavment.
"Don't run in the ran with socks on!" He yelled out running after her.
"Okay then!" She stopped running, he slowed down as he got closer to her. She bent over and took one sock off and then the other.
She turned around and rolled her socks up into a ball and threw them at him.
"What the fuck?!" He yelled as the drenched socks splat on his face, she went into a fit of laughter.
"What the fuck?!" She repeated him. He picked up the socks and threw it back at her, bouncing of her head.
"Take that!" He yelled, laughing at the same time.
"Take that!" He pretended to look offended.
"Stop copying me!" She laughed at him and picked up her socks, her bare feet getting wet.
"Stop copying me!" She whined. He just laughed and kept walking, starting to get more and more wet as the rain kept falling.
"Eww girl germs!" He said like a little boy as he walked passed her.
"You little bitch!" She screamed out, laughing harder.
He walked away from her, she followed him. They both got his front door, he opened it and he walked in first. She slowly stepped in, and looked around.
"Is your mom going to get angry? Cause I'm going to wet everything." He shrugged.
"It's just water...Besides, I couldn't be bother to change outta these..." She looked him up and down.
"Loser..." She said, walking passed him. He smiled and the closed the door behind him.
"Well being the loser I'll go get the weed...I'll be back ina second." She nodded and sat down on the couch, it had a brown colour to it, looked very 70's like. She looked aound at the photos that were scattered in placing about the t.v and the shelves. She saw one of Billie when he was younger, his hair was cut really badly and he was wearing a tie. She softly laughed and stood up, taking a closer look at the photos. He saw one of Annie, one of Billie's sisters. Cali had talked to her once, when she was riding her bike and fell of and scrapped her knee Annie came over and helped her. Then Annie left and Cali didn't see her again. Then she remembered Billie's Dad.
"Here..." She quickly turned around, Billie was standing there with a lighter in one and and a joint in the other, and another in the corner of his lips. He handed her the joint, she placed it between her lips. He smiled weakly and lit it up for her.
"Thanks," He sat down on the couch, he spread out a piece of newspaper on the table in front of it and flicked the ahses of his joint onto it. Cali stood in the same spot and continued looking at the photos. She saw a photo ablum sitting on one of the shelves, she picked it up and opened it. She sat down next to Billie and took a draw of her joint as she looked at the first page of photos.
"Is that you?" She smiled, he lent over a bit.
"Yeah...I was about 1 when that was taken," She flicked ash on the newspaper.
"You look all cute and stuff," She said, he closed his eyes and lent his head back. Letting the feeling take over him as the smoke filled his lungs.
"I know," He smiled to himself, she rolled her eyes and turned the page.
"What the hell are you doing in this one?" He lifted his head and looked at the photo she was pointing to. His vision started to get blurry, he took the album out of her hands and looked at it closer. He put the butt of the joint on the table and look at the photo again before knowing what the picture was.
"Oh that's me and a few of my friends...I think it was 9th grade, poor dog...We wanted to take a picture of us trying to see whether the dog was a girl or boy..." She laughed and took the last draw of the joint. Feeling more light headed.
"So you had to have to people; including you, to spead the dogs legs out to see what it was?" She laughed, he nodded and grinned as he turned the next page.
"I think it was a boy.." She laughed again. The next page was a photo of his dad, he was sitting down at a table and he was wearing a yellow shirt. Billie didn't think twice about looking at that picture of his dad. He turned the page and didn't say anything.
Cali remember the day she hear about Billie's dad dying, she would always see Andy out on the grass playing with his kids when she was younger. But as time went by she would stop seeing them play. She heard about Andy getting cancer when she was just about to turn 10. Her mom was talking to Ollie about it, about 4 months later Andy had died. Cali wasn't allowed to go to the funeral. When time went by after that she would hear Billie playing his blue guitar. She felt sorry for Billie and Cali would go and say crap about how bad her dad is...When Billie would give up anything just to see his dad for a second. She felt more then guilty.
"I think I wanna go play blue...You wanna come?" He asked, closing the photo album, he had enough of looking at old memories. She nodded, he stood up and put the photo album back where it was. She followed him as he led her down to the garage, she knew he was thinking about his dad. It looked like he wanted the thought to go away.
"You wanna hear something I wrote?" He asked as he walked down the steps.
"Yeah...That'd be awsume," She sat down on the couch and looked at Billie grab his guitar blue.
"I was kinda thinking about what you said the other night..." She remembered that night, then quickly started to think about school to get rid of the thought. "About how no one knows what's going to happen..." She nodded, a smile crept on her lips.
"You wrote a song about that?" She asked, he goofily smiled and slung the guitar strap over his shoulder.
"I called it No One Knows," She smiled.
"Play it..." He placed his fingers onto the strings on the guitar.
"Before it starts there is a bass solo..." She nodded, she started to strum the strings. The sound of it taking her away.
When he started singing it.. She was amazed at how go he was.
"Call me irresponsible, call me habitual, but when you think of me...Do you fill your head with schemes? Better think again 'cause No One Knows..." He sang, she sat the and listened to ever would he sang. She could tell how he really put his heart and soul into it. When he finished she thought for a second.
"That was fucking great.. But-"
"But what?" He raised his eyebrows, she grinned.
"At the end...You should have like you singing one line...But then sing another line over that one...If that makes any sense at all," He laughed and sat down.
"I think I know what you mean. Like sing the chorus in the background and then another line over the chorus...That is a really good idea! I'm going to do that."
"How smart am I?" She said proudly, he rolled his eyes and sat down his guitar.
"Oh very," He said, she smiled.
"I am! I can't read palms..." He opened up the palm of his hand, and looked at the lines that faded across them.
"Read mine then. Tell me my future, seeing as though you can tell the future and all..." She grinned and took his hand, she looked at the lines.
"Well that one means you're going to have a big house," She said trying to hold in the laughter.
"Hmm and what else..." The touch of her hand on his making him feel weird.
"And that one means you'll have a big back yard..." She laughed again, "And this one means-" She spat on his palm, taking him by surpirse "- You'll have a swimming pool..." She laughed.
"Fucking hell!" He yelled wiping his hand on her shirt. She couldn't stop laughing, it was so stupid that it was funny. He couldn't help but laugh too. They laughter died down, they both caught each others glimpes. He smiled to her, she smiled back weakly. She took her eyes from his and sunk down into the old couch as she lifter her foot up and rested it there, she couldn't help but love spending time with Billie...Doing nothing at all.
Silence filled the room...
"I think I better go...Lucy will be there soon," She said getting up. He looked down, scratching his head as he looked down.
"Okay." That was all he could say, he thought there was nothing else to say, besides good bye and see ya next time.
"Thanks for the weed and all...I guess I'll catch ya 'round," He stood up and opened the garage door for her.
"Yeah, see ya 'round..." He said softly once he had opened it for her, they both stood there. She smiled and stepped out of the garage and into the rain, she felt the rain on her feet. She turned around and looked at Billie, who was standing there with his hands in his pockets, looking down at his shoes. He could feel her looking at him.
"See ya 'round." He nodded and kept on looking down.
She started walking down the wet driveway until Billie couldn't see her anymore.
He stood there for a minute thinking about how she made him feel when they spoke, he felt like she was a good friend to have. All though he could feel the pressure to have more. He told himself it was never going to happen.
He sat back down on the couch, listening to the rain that poured down on the roof...
