What Are You Going To Do, Billie?...Kill Me?, chapter 18
The months slowly rolled by, the success of Green Day's first EP was the best Look Out records had ever had. They had sold out on the first prints, so they ended up reprinting the record. And now came the demand for Green Day to make a new EP, so the decision was made. They were going to make another album.
"So when are you leaving?" Cali asked, after Billie had told her the news of when they were to go to Oakland to record.
She stood infront of him as he was sitting on his bad looking up at her.
"Tomorrow... It won't be for long, only 2 days and we're done." He said, she sighed.
"I'm going to be her by myself, Ollie is working half the time!" She protested, he looked up at her, with puppy dog eyes. She new how important this was to him.
"It's only 2 days!" He said, standing up and looking at her.
"But why can't I come? What am I going to do here?" She asked, she really wasn't stable enough to stay by herself in a house that wasn't her's. Paranoia had taken over her mind for the past few weeks, and that was making her go off the edge.
"You know what's going to happen if Tre finds out about us Cali, and if you come I won't be able to separate myself from you... And then, you know what will happen."
"Fine, but you have to spend the rest of today with me... I'm going to miss you like crazy," She said with a laugh, he grinned and kissed her cheek. She slung her arms around his neck and hugged him tight.
"Just think of it this way, you knew that anyone would even want another from us?" She laughed and let go of him, with her hand on his shoulders she looked at him.
"I knew, even I bought a copy of smoothed out..." She said with a grin, he grinned back and kissed her lips. "So when will Mike and Ollie be back?"
"Mike went to go see Liza and Mom won't be back until 6, so we have at least 3 hours by ourselves..." He said as he put his hands on her hips, she wrapped her arms around his neck again, they swayed back and fell onto his bed, she landed on top of him, kissing his lips as he kissed hers back. "So what do you wanna do?" She rested on her elbow and looked down on him.
"Laze around, I don't know, what do you wanna do?" A piece of her dark hair had fallen down on her face, he gently pulled behind her ear.
"Being lazy sounds good to me," He said with a smile, he rubbed his thumb against her cheek. She kissed his lips, so softly that you would almost think she didn't kiss them at all. It almost made him sink right into the bed.
After awhile of talking about the songs that were going to be on the new EP they both went outside to the back yard to soak up some sun.
Billie sat down on the grass, leaning up against the only tree they had in the yard. He let the sun hit his face, his eyes were squinting. It made Cali laugh when she was standing infront of him, he realizes she was there when the warmth was gone from his skin, because of her shadow. He opened his eyes, she was holding a can of beer in one hand and a cup of water in the other.
"You looked so cute doing that," She laughed, he rolled his eyes.
"Just give me my beer... Please." She laughed and handed him his beer, she sat down next to him, she crossed her legs and drank the water from the cup. It was the best taste in the world when your really thirsty. Once she had drank all of the water she sat the cup down and looked at Billie, he was looking at the beer can. She knew he was thinking, but of what?
"What's up?" She asked, leaning back a bit placing her hands back on the grass. He looked over to her.
"You remember that painting you gave me?" She tried to remember, she got a quick flashback of it, that day wasn't the clearest day.
"Ah, the kerplunk one?"
"Yeah... I was thinking, maybe we should make that the theme for the EP."
"Oh no! Don't do that, the painting isn't that good!" She protested. He just grinned at her. "If I see that on the cover, I will..."
"What are you going to do Cali?... Kill me?" He said, looking over to her. The sun making him squint one eye.
"You remember that?" She ask, kind of shocked. She could hardly remember it herself.
"One of the things I regret ever having to make you say..." She looked down, since then everything had changed. It was so weird, he used to hurt her and now she was in love with him. All the memories came flooding in, she moved closer to him and hugged him.
"Who knew?..." She said, he sat his beer down and made her sit on his lap. His back was up against the tree, she sat on his lap and he laced his fingers with her, she rested her head on the side of his. They were both comfortable, it was one of the best feeling to have each other, and that's one of the reason as to why they were in love. It was silent for a few moment, all they could hear were birds and the wind, before Cali spoke up.
"Can I cut your deadlocks off and dye your hair blonde?"
Cali ruffed Billie's hair, making sure that his hair was evenly cut, she had done a pretty good job of cutting his hair, all there was left to do was dye his hair blond with store bough dye.
"How's it lookin?" He asked, looking out to the back yard fence.
"It's pretty good..." She said, as she looked at his hair from infront of him. He grinned and laughed. She looked as if she was trying to figure out a math problem. She looked at him and grinned as well. "Well it is!"
"I know, I know!" He said with a laugh. "Miss Right... What's 2 plus 2?" He joked.
"Shut up!" She said laughing at the same time. She pushed away the cut off dread out onto the grass.
"My mom isn't going to be happy about that,"
"I'll clean it up later."
"Holy shit Billie Joe, you suit being a blonde!" Cali said, feeling proud of her work. Billie looked into the bathroom mirror. He looked at Cali.
"I will never have to go a hair dresser when your around..." He said with a laugh, he looked back into the mirror. His hair was short and almost platinum blonde, he liked it. She kissed his cheek.
"Billie?! Cali?!" They both heard Ollies voice call out, Cali looked out the door and saw Ollie coming up the stairs.
"Hey Ollie, we're here," She stepped out of the bathroom as Ollie got to the top of the stairs.
"What are you two doing?" Ollie asked, Billie stepped out of the bathroom. "Oh Billie Joe!" Ollie yelled out as she looked at Billie's new hair do. Cali silently laughed, Billie had a grin on his face.
"Don't you just love it mom? I'm blonde now!" Ollie shook her head.
"I s'pose I will just have to learn to live with it... Did you do that Cali? It's a pretty good job, it's better then the last time her got a hair cut by one of his friends... And I'm glad the dread locks are gone."
"What can I say?... He needed a hair cut," Cali said, with a smile.
"I'll make dinner soon." Ollie went to her room and Billie And Cali went down stairs.
After Mike had arrived, the four of them sat down at the dinner table. Of course Billie sat next to Cali and Mike sat next to Ollie.
"So it will only be for 2 days? You guys have to tell me these things, I can't just have kids running all over the town without me knowing... Are you going with them Cali?" Cali took the fork out her mouth and looked at Ollie.
"Um no... I guess I should go and look for a job."
"Be a hair dresser." Mike suggested.
"I don't think that would be much fun," Cali said, Billie was eating mash potatoes and playing footies with Cali underneath the table. Cali would melt everytime he rubbed his leg against her's, she knew he was doing it on purpose. Just to make her gag on her food. But she reframed from doing that.
"I'll be working at night tomorrow, so you might be here by yourself," Cali looked down at her food.
"It's only for 2 days, it's not like the world is going to end... Jesus." Billie said, Cali hide her smile. It was funny when he got anger.
"What is that on your arm Billie Joe?" Ollie asked, looking at the tattoo on his arm. Cali was thanking god she was wearing long sleeves.
"Nothing," He said quickly, putting his arm under the table.
"Oh Billie Joe!.. Don't tell me that's a tattoo..."
Cali had finished eating first and she sat the with her hand on her lap listing to Mike and Billie talk about the album again, and what songs they wanted to put on it. Cali was listening to Mike say something about his bass when a hand held her's. It was Billie's hand, she smiled and kept holding on it.
After dinner, Mike, Billie and Cali went down to the garage and talked about the new EP some more, Tre came over for awhile. So around 11 Mike had gone with Tre to stay over Tre's, so they could get ready for the early morning start.
"Good night you two, I'll see you in the morning Billie, Night." With that Ollie went to bed, after awhile. Billie and Cali both stopped pretending to watch t. V and they both went up stairs.
"See you in the morning Cali..." Billie said softly, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Good night Bill," Cali went to her room and go into he P. J's and go into bed.
But just before she drifted off to sleep, she heard someone creep into her bedroom. She felt the covers lift up and she felt body warmth hit her back and then an arm wrapped around her. Oh the way Billie could melt her heart.
When the sun shine hit her face she woke up, she turned her body but no Billie Joe. She looked over to the other pillow and saw a note, she smiled to himself.
"Talk about cheesy." She said as if someone was there, she touched her cheek. She could remember someone kissing her this morning, she thought it was just a dream.

I can't wait until I get back, I started to miss you already when I woke up.
I haven't shown you this before. Last year when I hadn't seen you I missed you like crazy, it seemed like you were more to me than what I thought, but you were too far away. So I wrote this.
2000 light years away. Cali put the note back on the pillow and laid back, a tear ran down her face. She had never read anything like that in her whole entire life.
Cali got dressed and went down to the kitchen, Ollie was sitting down at the table reading some kind of book and drinking coffee.
"Good morning," Cali said as she sat down at the table.
"Morning dear, sleep well?" Cali nodded.
"Ollie can I ask you something?"

"You haven't heard anything from my parents have you?" Ollie sat her coffee and book down.
"No I haven't, to tell the truth I have no idea of where they are sugar... I'm sorry."
"There's no reason to say sorry, It's just... Y'know, I don't wanna over stay my welcome..."
"Cali, you are aloud to stay here for as long as you like... You're basically family now." Cali sighed, she knew what she was going to say next was going to come out sooner or later, and she couldn't hide it from her anymore.
"Ollie, I really like this house... And you're like a mom to me, I hope you don't freak out about this..." She took a breath. "I'm in love with Billie."

Cali sat on the couch by herself, Ollie had gone to the resultant for her night shift. At that moment Cali was missing Billie more then ever, she bit on her bottom lip as the t. V drowned her with the news. The house was quit and the t. V was all she could hear. She was starting to like having her own time by herself, at least there was no one bugging her. She got up from the couch and went to the fridge opening the OJ bottle, she got a cup and poured some in. She looked at the wall clock.

I was getting pretty dark outside, she put the bottle back in the fridge and rank the orange juice from the cup. The house was silent, she could hear the news reader from the other room. But then there was a knock at the door, she raised and eyebrow and put the juice down. She walked down the hallway to the front door, there was another knock. It was probably Ollie, she must of forgotten something. But why is she knocking?
Cali opened the door, and there was a face she wasn't expecting to see.
"Tommy?" Tommy suddenly pushed threw the door, grabbing Cali with great force. She couldn't get out of his grip, she had her back to him. She screamed but her covered her mouth. "HELP!" She screamed out when his hand moved, but he tighten his grip, the pain was killing her.
"Shhh, I know what this is!" He hissed into her ear. "I know what you and Billie are up to!... You're trying to take Kelly away from me! Aren't you?!" Cali had never been more scared in her life. He pushed her up against the wall. "You and Billie will pay for this!" He wasn't making any sence, Cali was crying. She tried to scream but his hand was too tight around her mouth. She finally got the chance to bit his finger, she bit it and screamed out for help. But there was no use, no one could hear.
"Shut up!" He screamed, his voice was shaking.
"Please stop!... We're not going to take her away!" She pleaded after his hand wasn't so tight. Then she felt him start to shake.
