My Mom Married Billie Joe, chapter 8
When I woke up, Tre was sleeping next to me. I was a little startled at first because I thought something bad must've happened, like I got drunk or high and I did something with Tre. But we were fully dressed and all, and all, and I was fully aware of what happened the night before.
As I was getting up from the bed, Tre must've heared me.
"Morning, babe." he said, kissing me lightly on the lips.
"Good morning, Tre." I said, kissing him on the cheek.
"So, are you hungry?" Tre asked, getting up and walking towards the bathroom.
"No, not really. Are you?"
"Nope, I'm good."
He began to take a shower. I made my bed and got dressed quickly. I wore my old, faded Green Day shirt and black Dickies Billie Joe bought me.
When Tre had finished getting ready, he and I talked out on the balcony.
"So, why were you in my bedroom this morning?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, I just wanted to protect you, you know?" he said, taking my hand.
"Right."
"Are you nervous about going back home pretty soon and going to school?" Tre asked, kissing me on the cheek.
"A little." I replied, remembering that the summer break was going to end soon. I started to feel depressed.
"Babe, I think you have a good school year this time around. You have changed so much. You aren't disrespectful to Billie Joe anymore. And you have been really helpful." Tre said, squeezing my hand.
"Really?" I asked, looking up at him and smiling.
"Yeah."
"Thanks. Wait until I tell my friends what an awsome summer I've had. I won't tell about us though. I don't want to get into trouble."
"Okie dokie. I love you." Tre said, kissing me.
"Love ya." I said kissing him back.
