A Runaway and Teen, chapter 2
I opened my eyes to find a plane stewardess looking over me.
"Good afternoon miss, we have arrived in Rodeo California!" she said with a happy smile.
I smiled back to her. "Thanks," I said as I grabbed my bag from the carry on bag holder thing. I walked off the plane and checked my purse for the money I had left. I pulled out $100 then finding out I had my bank card along with my bank book which read I had another $200 on there.
"BONUS!" I thought to myself. I walked around the airport looking for the exit.
"I don't want to blow my money on a cab...." I murmured to myself.
So I went hitchhiking once again. Cheap, but dangerous. A nice lady came and pulled next to me and gestured me to get in.
"Thanks so much, could you please drive me to the nearest and cheapest hotel?" I asked.
"Of course, my dear!" she smiled. "My name is Ollie."
"Thank you, my name is Julia. You can call me Julz," I replied
"So Julz, you traveling alone?" she asked as she drove around cars on the highway.
"Not exactly....I ran away form home," I said very shyly.
"Then you are coming to stay with me!" she demanded.
"No really, I'm fine!" I exclaimed.
"No. I insist..." she said very persuasively.
I gave in and agreed to go with her. She smiled. After half an hour of driving we arrived at her place. I saw a familiar someone sitting on the porch in a chair.
"Honey!" called Ollie out the window. "Can you help me please? We have a friend staying with us for a while."
The "familiar someone" got up and walked over to the car.......it was all clear to me.
"Hey," he said as he opened the car door for me.
I got out of the car and just stared at him with wide eyes of amazement. He waved his hand in front of my face. I continued to stare then I put my hand up to him and poked him in the stomach. He just stood there and stared at me as if I was a freak. As soon as I realized it was him...I gave him a huge smile.
"I cannot believe this....." I said, looking up to him. "I never thought I would ever see the one and only Billie Joe Armstrong!"
"A fan, I see?" he asked, cocking his eyebrow.
"Yes, very," I replied, pulling out my few small pictures of Green Day along with their CD.
"Well, you know my name," he said. "What is yours?"
"Her name is Julia, she said we could call her Julz," cut in Ollie.
He smiled. I smiled back. We went inside the house. I could tell he was visiting; this was a mother's house.
"You look so different without eyeliner," I said, looking at him.
"Ya...." he said, scratching his head. "You still think I'm hot?" he asked, laughing.
"Very." I let out a giggle
"You a runaway and drop out?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"Yah...me to....well, drop out anyways," he smiled.
"Yah and I could kill you for it, William Joseph Armstrong!" scolded his mom.
"Mom! You know if I didn't drop out I wouldn't have been able to buy you that nice car in your garage," he chuckled.
"I guess so.." she laughed. "Being the mother of a famous musician has its perks," she said, looking at me while she headed toward the kitchen..
Billie and I talked about his work, how everyone is doing and so on.... It was nice, I felt like I fit in.....
