Drip, chapter 1
Drip. Drip. Drip went the rain. Every drop was like bullets on the ground. Thud. Thud. Thud went Tyler’s feet in the heavy rain. It was one of those days for him. Everything was going wrong for him. He just wanted to escape this feeling. Every time he tried to face his problems he backed away and ended up getting swallowed by even more. He didn’t need this right now. Not after his friends had been arguing and pushing all their problems on to him. Nothing was going right. Running was the only way he could escape his woes. A tear gently slid down his cheek and down his nose. He could feel his eyes starting to fill with tears as he ran along the pathway. It was a good thing it was raining because no one could see his tears. They would have thought it was the rain.
It all seemed like a long lost dream to me. One minute I was in paradise. The next minute I was in hell, seeing people suffer before me. For so many years had I been stuck this way. Doing the same routine over and over again. Oh! What I would have given to be mortal again. Being immortal was so tedious for me.
Often I would think of my wife I had left behind so many years before. If I had stayed mortal would I have been there when she had died? Instead I went chasing after the bastard Lycan that murdered my friend’s family. A tear rolled down my face as the very pretty Charlene crept up behind me and gently nibbled my neck.
“Hey! Woah slow down there! Who’s the one with the Mortal wife here?� I said pulling Charlene away from me. She looked at me with her sparkling eyes and licked her teeth. I had wanted her for so long, but I couldn’t have her she was much too young for me.
“I’m sorry Tyler I couldn’t help myself.� She smiled flicking her black hair away from her pale skin. She reminded me so much of my wife Alison. We had two sons that didn’t last past there first birthdays thanks to the Lycans.
“What do you want anyway?� I said pulling myself away from my hiding place. I hadn’t been in my hiding place for so long, it was the best place for me to be if I wanted to think.
“Oh I just wanted to see my favourite vampire is all.� Charlene said playing with her hands behind her back. She looked so beautiful, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell her.
“You embarrass me, really you do.� I smiled walking up to my bed and sitting on the end of it. I placed my hands on my head and started to think. Charlene came and sat next to me a few seconds later.
