This Isn't 2006 Anymore..., chapter 2
I woke up to someone shaking me, I didn't open my eyes... I bet it was mom.
"Mom, it's Sunday... Can't a person get some sleep?" I said slapping the person's arm that was shaking me.
"Owwww... Come on Lynn, get up! And I am not your mom!" She said.
Being my lazy self, I rolled over, with my face in my pillow.
"Sam, shut up, I wanna sleep" I mumbled.
"Sam?... Who's... Sam?" She asked.
"Okay fine then, is it Kaylee? Cuz I really don't wanna try and guess who it is... I suck at recognizing people's voices" I said a bit annoyed.
"Uh... Noo, wrong again" She said a bit annoyed as well because of my stubbornness.
"Okay, jesus! I'll get up!" I said opening my eyes to see who was talking to me.
I looked at her, with my jaw open.
"Adrienne Nesser?!?!" I said still shocked. "Why are you in my bedroom?!?!"
She looked at me weirdly. "Cuz we're roommates... "
"Huh? What the hell are yo-" I looked around in my room. The walls were white and they had posters of The Clash, The Ramones, Operation Ivy and The Sex Pistols. I defiantly don't think my room had these vintage posters on my walls. I paused.
"What happened to all my Green Day stuff?!?!" I said worried.
"Um... Who's Green Day?" She asked suspiciously.
Right then and there I think my head had exploded. Once again I was silent.
"Did you smoke with those people next door? Because I told you they would get something into your head" Adrienne asked acting very motherly.
Then it just hit me. Because of my slowness, I just noticed that this isn't 2006 anymore.
"What year is it?" I asked slowly.
"... 1990" Adrienne said even slower.
"What's my birthday?" I still asked slowly.
"What?! You can't even remember your own—" Adrienne started.
"Just answer me!" I snapped.
"July 18th, 1972" I froze. Did she just say I was born in 1972?
"Excuse me" I said while walking to the door and successfully finding the bathroom. I walk in and shut the door. Then I scream the loudest possible. I walk back into the other room with a calm face.
"Any more questions?" Adrienne asked with her arms crossed, looking at me oddly.
"How did we meet?" I asked.
Adrienne sighs. "In kindergarten and we've been best friends since... Are you done? Cuz we really need to get to Gilamans before they start" She said while walking out of my room.
I nodded slowly. "Thanks Adie"
She stops in her tracks. "Since when do you call me 'Adie'?"
Shit, shit, shit! I messed it up! Billie gives her that nickname! Stupid, stupid, dumbass me! Oh well, screw that.
"I guess I like that nickname better than what you used to call me" Adie stated.
"What did I use to call you?" I said curiously.
"Ade" She said simply.
Adie walked out of the room and closed the door.
I stood in front of a mirror and looked at my 18 year old self. I still had my black wavy hair. But they had red tips. I was at least 2 inches taller than my 16 year old self and I had a black star on my middle finger of my left hand. At least people have something nice to look at when I flip them off...
I sigh as I walk over to my closet to get ready for the show at Gilaman's.
