We Met In Detention..., chapter 2
"Tess...... I have to ask you something...... um, I think you're really pretty and it seems like we have a lot in common so, um, would you like to go to the mall with me on Monday? I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to, I mean I know that we just met and all and you probably have a boyfriend already, so, sorry I asked...." I stopped Billie mid sentence. God this extremely attractive guy is asking me out. You've got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay Tess, calm down ok all you have to do is say, "Yes Billie, I would love to go to the mall with you." Ok, god, I'm so nervous!!!!!!!!! I thought to myself.
"No Billie, it's ok, I don't have a boyfriend, and I would love to go to the mall with you!" Jesus! I can't believe I even got that much out, I was so excited!
Wow, Billie Joe just asked me out. I was ready to do back flips! My happy thoughts were interrupted by a person who was standing behind us, her halitosis lined breath filled the atmosphere; it was the supervisor. God, do all of my happy moments need to be ruined?!?!????
"Excuse me, Miss Stevens, but if you would like to continue your love-fest with Mr. Armstrong I can arrange you with another detention, do you hear me?" she snarled. God, did her breath stink!
"Well Mrs. Whateveryournameis, I was just speaking with Tess and I assure you she needs another detention on account of all of the profanities she was using!" Billie said in a kind of "I told you so" way.
I then shot him a "What the hell are you doing?" look. God, what was he doing! If I got another detention my parents would kill me!!!!!!!!! Then Billie mouthed something to Tre that I couldn't really make out.
"Hold on Miss Stevens, I will be right back with your detention slip," said the supervisor.
"What the hell, Billie!!!!!!!!!!!!" I said with a hint of anger in my voice. "How can you do this to me! Damn, my parents are going to kill me!"
"Tess, I didn't know, I'm sorry, I just wanted you to be with me next Saturday, to keep me company, and to you know, talk to me. I am really sorry," he said as he grabbed my hand to kiss it. He looked up at me with those to die for green eyes. God, I could've melted right there.
"Tess, I really am sorry, I just wanted to spend more time with you," Billie said, as cute as ever.
Just then I did something I had never done before, on account that I never had a boyfriend before! I leaned in and kissed him........... on the cheek, of course! He was just so cute sitting there. I just couldn't resist.
"Wow! I didn't think you would do that," Billie said as he opened his vibrant eyes.
Of course, watching all of this Mike and Tre were just staring at us like they were deer in the headlights. And I didn't blame them! Just then the stupid lady came back ruining my moment once again! Damn it!
"Here's your slip, Miss Stevens, next Saturday, same time, same place!" she said as serious as she could. I could tell she was trying to be intimidating, but it wasn't working on me!
"Thanks," I said sarcastically.
"God, are you cute!" Billie said as he kissed me on the cheek.
I was in heaven! No, wait, I was in detention!
