An Extraordinary Girl, chapter 2
"Don't cry," Billie Joe said.
He barely knew the girl, but was still holding her tightly to try and make her stop crying. Adrienne felt sorry for the girl. She walked up next to her husband. She placed a hand on his shoulder, and also joined in on trying to calm Amanda down.
"Don't worry. You won't loose your father. So please, stop crying," she said in a soothing voice.
Amanda looked up into Adrienne eyes. Her vision was blurred with tears, but she could tell Adrienne care. She slowly nodded her head, then wiped away her tears. Billie Joe let go of her. Amanda slowly came to a standing position. Jakob slowly walked up to Amanda.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"My name's Amanda," she said with a smile.
"I'm Jakob," he said returning the smile.
"I'm Joey," said the last boy.
"I know you guys. You're Jakob Danger. And you're Joey Mar... Sorry I don't know your middle name," Amanda said.
Joey shrugged. 'Of course she knows my younger brother's name, ' he thought walking away. Billie Joe stood up. He wiped off his shirt. Jakob followed his older brother. Amanda watched them leave. She was still crying a bit.
"I see you're feeling a bit better," Billie Joe said, "we can visit your dad if you like."
Amanda nodded. Billie Joe turned around and started to walk out of the living room. He motioned for the band and Amanda to follow. Tre was the first to follow. He was followed by Mike and then Amanda. Billie Joe walked out into the garage.
"Let's drive my car," Mike said taking out the keys to his BMW.
Amanda smiled.
"There's a smile we want to see," Tre said.
He smiled his ear to ear smile. Amanda couldn't help but laugh. Mike walked over to his BMW and unlocked the door.
"I call shot gun!" Amanda shouted running for the door.
"Hey wait! I want shot gun!" Tre said running after Amanda
They started to fight over who sits where. Billie Joe and Mike started cracking up. Of course Tre won since he's older and a lot stronger. Amanda got into the back seat of the car. She crossed her arms and sighed. Tre was still smiling as he got in the car. 'Dumb ass," Amanda thought bitterly. She stuck her tongue out at him. Tre noticed her and also stuck out his tongue. Amanda couldn't help but laugh again. Billie Joe got in the back seat also, since Mike was driving. They were practically crying because they were laughing to hard. Mike got into the car last. He started the car and drove out of the garage. He started to drive to the nearest hospital.
"So Amanda, where are you from?" Mike asked.
"Ohio," Amanda answered.
"What brings you to California?" Billie Joe asked.
"My dad and I were on a trip."
"What about your mom?" Tre asked.
"She died 4 years ago," Amanda said looking out the window. Her smile had faded. Tears were welling up in her eyes.
"Damn it," Tre whispered covering his mouth.
"Don't cry," Billie Joe said placing a hand on Amanda's shoulder.
"I won't, since I'm accompanied by my favorite band. Besides I already cried enough," Amanda answered. She turned to face Billie Joe and smiled. Billie Joe smiled back. Billie Joe nodded. He returned the smile.
"Who wants to play eye spy?" Tre asked radomly. Everyone stared at him, in silence. Finally, Amanda broke the silence.
"I do!" she shouted raising her hand.
"Hell yeah!" Billie Joe shouted.
"Me first!" Tre said. Amanda groaned.
"I spy, with my little eye, something green," Tre said.
"I know! I know!" Amanda said.
"What?" Tre asked.
"Billie's eyes!"
Billie Joe looked at Tre and then at Amanda. He chuckled. Tre nodded. Amanda clapped her hands.
"I spy something sexy," she said.
"Me!" Tre blurted out.
"No," Amanda said shaking her head. "Damn it,"
"Tre, stop kidding yourself. It's me," Billie said. Amanda nodded.
The game went on until they reached the hospital. Amanda's mood changed quickly. Her smile faded.
"I'm not going in," she whispered.
"What? Why? You need to see your father," Billie Joe said.
"I can't. I hate hospitals. I've been in too many, only to see people I love die," Amanda said.
Billie Joe sighed and got out of the car. Tre and Mike got out of the car next. Amanda wouldn't get out. Tre opened Amanda's door.
"Come on out," Tre said. Amanda shook her head. Billie Joe came over to Amanda's side and grabbed her arm. Tre grabbed her other arm. They pulled her out of the car gently. Amanda giggled a bit. Tre and Billie Joe shook their heads. They let go of her arms. Amanda was the first to walk into the hospital. She walked right to the front desk and asked the woman working there about her dad.
"Who is your father?" the woman asked.
"Randy, he was in an accident," Amanda said.
"He's in surgery right now," said the woman.
Amanda nodded. She sat in a chair. Billie Joe hid his face with a used magazine. Same with Tre and Mike.
"What are you doing?" Amanda asked.
"We don't want to be reconized." Billie Joe whispered as he sat next to Amanda. Tre sat on the other side of Amanda.
Amanda nodded. 'What ever," she thought. She grew silent. She was deep in thought. Billie Joe watched Amanda out of the corner of his eye.

A few hours later a doctor came out of the back room. He walked over to Amanda.
"I'm sorry. We lost your dad on the operation table," he said.
Amanda's eyes went wide. She looked away. Billie Joe removed the magazine from in front of his face. He pulled Amanda close to him.
"Don't cry," he whispered. Amanda was trying to force back her tears. Tre placed his hand on Amanda's shoulder. Mike lowered the magazine that was in front of his face.
"It's all right," Mike said.
