An Extraordinary Girl, chapter 7
*Next Morning*
"Wakey, wakey, eggs and beacky." Amanda heard ringing through her head. She tossed over and opened her eyes only to meet a smiling Tre. She screamed slightly and then laughed.
"What are you doing in Mike's bed? I mean I went into your room and found Mike."
*Flashback*
Tre walked into the spare room next to his. He walked over to the bed and laid down next to "Amanda". He trailed a finger up "her" spine and then pulled down the covers only to find Mike. He screamed and soon caused him to wake up and scream as well. They both fell off the bed. Tre got up and walked over to Mike who was sitting on the floor rubbing his eyes.
"Where's Amanda?" he asked.
"My room," Mike replied drowsily. Tre got up and walked into Mike's room to find the sleeping Amanda. The covers and pillows were thrown off the bed.
*Out Of Flashback*
"I thought I heard screaming. What did you do?" she asked remembering that a few minutes ago there was screaming coming from the spare room.
"Nothing," Tre said not wanting to tell, "anyway, get up."
"Why?"
"Just get up."
"Okay," Amanda said, sighing as she got out of bed. She went over and made the bed and then walked out of the room. Jake and Joe were up running around. They ran to find "Uncle" Mike to figure out why he was screaming. Then they ran to their parent's door, which was still locked. Amanda went over and knocked on the door.
"Kids are up. You better stop," she said through the door trying not to laugh. Billie and Adrienne looked at the door. Adrienne sighed and got out of bed to take a shower. Billie stayed in bed for a few more minutes, before getting up and getting dressed. He unlocked the door and walked outside. They greeted him with 'good mornings', hugs and kisses before running downstairs for breakfast. The smell of burnt food was filling the downstairs air.
"Tre, what did you do?" Billie asked.
"I made beacon and eggs."
"Sounds good," Amanda said running past them and sitting down next to the boys at the table.
"What do you guys want to drink?" Billie asked.
Screams of milk and orange juice filled the room. Billie nodded and got out the milk and O. J. He got out 5 glasses, he knew his wife and Mike would go out to Star bucks to get coffee. He filled 3 glasses with milk and 2 with O. J. Amanda got up and got her glass of milk and sat back at the table. She watched as Billie got plates so she would know where everything was in the kitchen. He set out the plates of slightly burnt beacon and eggs. As soon as Tre sat down they began to eat.
"This is good," Amanda said smiling. Tre returned the smile. He finished his meal first and waited for Amanda and Billie to get done. Amanda finished and got up. She walked into the living room and switched on the television. She started to hum the tune to Longview again. Tre and Billie started to sing the song, along with her humming. Amanda soon joined in singing. They ended the song with laughter. Once Mike came downstairs, Billie was done eating.
"Let's go!" Tre shouted before getting up. He ran into the living room and turned off the t.v. He then picked Amanda up because she wouldn't move. She giggled as he carried out to the car. He put her down and ran back inside. In about two minutes he pushed Billie and Mike out the door and into the car. He got into the drivers seat and started the car. He pressed the garage door opener. As the garage door opened he began to pull out. He got on the road and started to drive off.
"Where are we going?" Billie asked.
"Mall. Amanda needs clothes and I'm bored." Tre answered. Amanda clapped her hands. She loved going to the mall and she knew it would be fun with Green Day, and possibly her new dad.
*At The Mall*
Tre arrived in the mall parking lot. He quickly found a parking spot and got out. He was followed by Amanda, Billie, and Mike. They walked into the mall.
"Wow, this is bigger than the malls in Ohio," Amanda whispered looking around. She soon spotted a Hot Topic and walked towards it. She was followed by Tre and Billie, Mike had went off to a Star Bucks that was in the mall. They walked inside. Amanda quickly found a few things she wanted like black eyeliner, Green Day posters, Green Day shirts, black baggy pants with chains, and a Sesshoumaru doll.
"You don't need to buy the Green Day posters and shirts because we can give them to you for free," Billie said. Amanda nodded.
"Can I at least get these?" she asked picking up the merchandise she wanted. Billie nodded. Amanda smiled and placed the stuff up on the counter. She then searched her pockets and remembered that the pants she was wearing was Adie's. She sighed and began to take the stuff back to their places when Billie pulled out a credit card. He handed it to the female clerk. She added up the cost of the merchandise and slid the credit card through the machine. She handed Billie back his card and gave him a receipt he needed to sign. He signed it and handed it back to the clerk. Amanda grabbed her bags and hugged Billie.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she repeated happily.
"You're welcome," he replied smiling. He was waiting for the right time to tell her what Adrienne and him had decided the night before while they were having sex. Amanda smiled back and let go of Billie. She began to walk off with Tre and Billie right beside her. The next place they stopped was at Finish Line. Tre and Billie were in need for new Converse. While they were looking for the right pair, Amanda went browsing for new shoes herself. She stopped at the New Balance shoes. She found a pair she liked and asked Billie and Tre if she was allowed to have them.
"Sure, you can buy 3 pairs since you need shoes," Tre said taking out one of his credit cards. He gave it to Amanda. "Hold on to that. You can keep it until we leave," Tre said. Amanda smiled. She went and asked the clerk for a pair of dark blue, gray and green, and black new balance shoes in size 8.5. The clerk came back with three shoe boxes and handed them to Amanda. He went over to Billie and Tre.
"The usual pairs?" he asked. Billie and Tre nodded. The clerk went into the back to get black and white converse shoes. He had memorized Tre and Billie's shoe sizes and brought back shoe boxes. He handed them their shoes and added up the cost. Amanda used the credit card Tre had given her and paid for them. Tre wrote his signature on the dotted line and they walked out of the shop.
"I'll be right back," Billie said has he took out his cell. He walked away and dialed his wife's number.
"Yello," his wife answered.
"Hey, Adie, did you call an agency to check out the house to see if it's suitable for another child to stay?"
"Yeah, Hun. He just stopped by and said everything's all right. He'll bring the papers over in a few hours and then Amanda will be ours."
"That's great! We need to throw a party. Hey Adie, baby, can you call everyone and make a cake. We'll stay out as long as you need."
"Sure. I'll get the boys to help," and with that said Adie hung up. Billie hung up his cell and walked back over to Amanda and Tre.
"Let's go to Victoria Secret!" Tre and Billie said walking away. Amanda started cracking up. She didn't really want to follow, but did anyway. Tre walked into the store he looked around at the thongs and bras. Billie just walked around. Amanda stayed near the door. She didn't want to go into Victoria Secret. Tre picked up a bra and held it up to himself. Amanda saw him and started cracking up. Billie pulled the bra away from Tre and dragged him into the corner.
"What do you want, Billie?" he asked.
"Adie and I are adopting Amanda. We have to find Mike and tell him."
"Tell me what?" Mike asked as he walked up to the guys.
"How did you find us?" Billie asked.
"I saw Amanda and she pointed you guys out. So what did you want to tell me?"
"Billie and Adie are adopting Amanda. We're finally gonna have a niece!" Tre said loudly.
"Shush!" Billie said hushing the guys down. Amanda walked into the store and walked up to the band.
"Please can we go some where else?" she asked. Billie nodded. They walked out of the store and around the mall. Amanda noticed a Kohl's. She motioned for the band to follow and walked into the store. She walked to the Junior's depatment and looked around. She looked at skirts, jeans, capris, shirts, and shorts.
"I'm going to try these on," she said taking 3 skirts, 5 shirts, 4 pairs of jeans, 3 capris, and 4 pairs of jean shorts.
"Hey once you put on an outfit come out to the door. I wanna see," Tre said.
"Fine," Amanda said disappearing into the changing room. She found an open stall and went in. She took off her shirt and put a black one on. It said Call Me Later 1-800-GET-LOST! it pink. She slipped off her/Adie's jeans and slipped on another pair. She walked out of the stall and walked in front of the door where Tre and the rest were waiting. They looked at her once. Billie was the first to read her shirt.
"Hey Tre, there's a message on her shirt for you," he said laughing. Tre looked at her shirt and glared at Billie playfully. Amanda sighed and went back into the dressing room. She changed into each outfit and showed it off.
"Okay you can buy them all," Billie said smiling. Amanda hugged him.
"I love you," she whispered, "like a father." she finished before letting go of Billie. He smiled and sighed. They stayed at the mall for another few hours. Soon Billie's phone rang. It was Adie.
"Hey babe, did you get it ready?" he asked walking away from Amanda so she couldn't here.
"Yeah babe," she answered.
"We'll be home in a while. How many people are coming?"
"At least 20 of are closet friends, babe."
"All right, I'll see you in about 30 min." Billie said hanging up the phone. "Let's go home!" he yelled. They all walked out of the mall with a few bags. (Tre had went back into Victoria Secret to buy a thong and a bra for any girl he dated) They walked to the car and drove off. When they arrived at the house everything was dark. Amanda was a little suspicious as they got out of the car. They walked towards the house. Billie took out his keys and opened the door. Amanda walked into the house and flipped on the lights.
"Surprise!" yelled 20 people.
