This is Ludicrous, chapter 12

"Oh well, um...a kind man gave us a call and said that he found her," sighed the young nurse who was getting a warm wet towel to help clean up Linda's dirty face.

Linda's parents were listening to the nurse rant on, Billie was sitting on the stool next the hospital bed running his fingers through Linda's hair. "Where exactly...did the man find her?" Mrs. LeVille asked.

"The young man said she was just lying on the pavement, all alone. We're not sure what happened, she hasn't woken up yet. But whatever it was, it must have been bad. The poor girl was so worried she misscarried."

"Her name is Linda." Billie Joe looked up for a second at the nurse, he was relieved and yet...angry. Why didn't she wait for him last night?

"Ah yes, so Linda was brought here by the man, we don't know who he is and we don't have any other information. Sorry about that." The nurse gave Billie Joe the towel and he began to wipe off her face. Her eyes twitched at the touch, and they opened to see the perfect crystal blue shade that they always were. Linda sat up and looked around, confused.

"Where...where am I? What happened?" she spoke. Her hands rubbed her eyes as she woke up a little more from her sleep.

"Merry Christmas Linda," Billie smiled as he began to wipe off the dirt from her neck. She smiled back at him and held onto his hand.

"Hello sweetheart, do you feel alright?" the young nurse asked as she stood by Linda's bedside.

"I suppose, I don't feel good. How did I get here?" she asked, she held onto Billie Joe tighter.

"You don't remember anything from last night?" her mother asked. Linda shook her head. "Baby doll, you just miscarried. Some man found you by the street and brought you to the hospital and they called us to tell us they found you. What were you up to last night?!"

Linda looked up, thinking. What was it last night... "Well, while I was waiting for Billie Joe, Storm came by and asked me if I wanted to take a walk. I figured Billie Joe's gig would take a while longer so I went with him. Storm took me to the alley across from Gilman Street, and I can't seem to remember...what happened."

"Storm?! What was he doing with you?!" Billie asked.

"Just taking me for a walk, and then we met some of his friends," she answered. "I suppose all I can remember is one sharp pain, and then I blanked out."
