Not Saint Jimmy, chapter 1

Teresa opened the door to the Care Home in which she lived and shook her hair. Rain drops flew everywhere. She slid off her wet converse and ran upstairs. When she got into her room she put her bags down and turned on her computer. While she waited for it to load she changed into a pair of dry jeans and her Green Day t-shirt. She unpacked what she had brought that day in town with her friends. Then she pressed play on her stereo and '1000 hours' blared out. She began to sing along and signed into msn. No one was online. She sat, not knowing quite what to do. She signed out, got up and slipped out of her room, shutting her door behind her. It wasn't wise to leave your leave your door open in a Care Home, in any Care Home, she knew, she'd been to most of them. Well, most of the ones in England, that's why she was here, in America. She laughed to herself as she thought about all her different homes.

It started about 3 years ago, when she was 11. Her Mum and Dad had left her in a home for a while, while they sorted themselves out. She didn't know why they had to sort themselves out, she guessed life had just become too stressful. Four kids was a lot to take and she guessed that her sister probably hadn't helped, being the spoilt brat that she was but hey. She got over it, she thought. She stood thinking about it.

"TERESA," someone yelled from downstairs.

"What Elaine?" she yelled back.

"Someone's here to see you, come downstairs now!"

"Who is it?" Teresa replied confused, if her friends ever visited they always phoned before hand and no one except her friends ever visited her.

"Just come downstairs NOW," Elaine yelled. Teresa stormed downstairs.

"What?" she snarled.

"Come in here," Elaine said dragging Teresa into the living room.

"Don't you dare fucking touch me!" Teresa yelled. She hated Elaine, Elaine hated her, it was a mutual understanding. Teresa had her reasons, Elaine had her's. Elaine never stopped nagging Teresa and telling her what to do, Teresa made Elaine's life hell, whenever people came over Teresa would muck it up. Teresa snatched her hand away from Elaine and turned around scowling. And then she stopped. A small man, with black hair and piercing green eyes.

"Hi," Billie Joe Armstrong said, holding out his hand for Teresa to take.
