"Hey umm I think around tomorrow arvo if he's woken up and everything. Why?"
"I was just wondering if you wanted to have a welcome home party for Billie even though he's only been gone a night. Also I was thinking that's how the girl's could find out about you guys?"
"Yeah sure, it's a great idea. I'll call Mike and tell him. We'll have it at my house?"
"Ok" Suddenly the door flung open and all the girls came through. "All right sounds like fun. See you soon, bye!" I quickly said and hung up.
"Who was that?" Krissy dumped some shopping bags on to the kitchen bench.
"Guess what?!" I announced and all the heads turned my way. "We are going to a party!"
"Awsome!"
"Cool."
"Whose house is it at?" Louise said putting the grocery shopping away.
"It's at Alan's house."
"Riiiigggghhhhht....." Hannah raised an eyebrow.
"Trust me your going to love it!"
"If you insist." Krissy smirked. I rolled my eyes and strolled off into my room. Sprawled across my bed I pulled out a pen and paper. I wrote a letter to my mum. I told her that the girls and I were having a fabulous time. Also I had written that I had met some cool guys are in a band. Eventually I mentioned the record deal. I asked mum for her opinion and that she would call me or message back. Finishing the letter I shoved it back into my bag then fell asleep on the bed for a few hours.
It was 1:30pm when I woke from my slumber. The temperature had risen to a scorching 41 degrees. The girls had changed into short shorts and little singlets.
"Aren't you hot?" Krissy glared at my track suit pants.
"Yeah I'll change. I'm gonna walk down the street to post a letter, does anyone want to come?" I looked around. They all seemed to be bored out of their minds. They nodded and I went to get changed. I put on shorts with a singlet also. I shoved a hat on over my long blonde flowing hair then put on the sunnies that Tre gave me.
We had only walked about 20 meters down the street when a guy ran across the street with a camera.
"I'm guessing this is what they call paparazzi." I looked at the girls. "Smile." We stood as a group and it reminded me of the pop group spice girls. I flashed my pearly whites at the camera. A couple of flashes later he thanked us then continued on his way.
"Wow, our first publicity photos!" Hannah said giving us all high-fives.
Reaching the post office I shoved my letter in the post box. We got lunch at a cafe then headed back into the hotel. To our amazement there was police cars and an ambulance outside. The front door was sealed off with police tape.
"What the fuck?!" I exclaimed as we jogged up to the tape. A police officer approached us.
"Excuse me ma'am could you please take a step back from the tape?"
"What happened?" I stepped back.
"Some idiot clogged the toilet and there is a major flood on the fifth flour." He crossed his arms.
"How?"
"The person put a couple of packets of tampons up the toilet also a huge clump of toilet paper." He raised an eyebrow "then obviously they flushed the toilet and ran before it exploded."
"Oh"
"And don't worry your belongings will be returned to you a.s.a.p."
"Great. Now where are we going to stay?" Louise said sounding fed up.
"Because of the inconvenience we are giving you free accommodation to a hotel." He pointed to a hotel down the road. "My daughters a big fan." He winked and gave us a pen and paper. Wow it's so easy to get famous and we have only done three shows! We signed the paper and hung around waiting for our stuff. Hmmm I wonder who did it. It's something what Tre, Mike and Billie Joe would do...
Finally we collected our stuff and headed to the hotel. The officer fixed up the money and we got the key and headed for the room.
"Well this is a change." Hannah commented as we walked in the door. The kitchen, lounge room and bedroom were all in the same room. In other words it was a normal hotel room.
Everyone was unpacked in 5 minutes and once again on the couch.
"We need to get some gigs." Krissy declared.
"Here here" Louise agreed. Silence fell upon us once again. I mindlessly gazed out the window trying to untangle my thoughts on whether we should go home or stay...
