409 In Your Coffeemaker, chapter 3
"Mike you awake" Jen said
"Ye, just woke up was that Matty just in here" Mike asked
"Yep he was a bit down" Jen answered
"Its about Gideon isn't it" Mike remarked
"Gideon is sometimes an idiot but I know the real Gideon and he's the sweetest guy ever" Jen said
"Jen is that you" Gideon asked behind the door
"Ye why" Jen said letting Gideon in
"Do you mind if I stay in here for a bit" Gideon asked
"Not at all just as long as you don't hit me or Mike" Jen answered
"I'm so sorry about earlier" Gideon pleaded
"Why did you do it then?" Mike asked butting in
"I was drunk and pissed off" Gideon answered
"What has come over you the past few weeks" Jen asked
"People, places, priorities all getting me down" Gideon answered
"We know how you feel" Mike said
"Oh ye before I go Jen can you come to the gig this week at Gilmans for my band" Gideon asked
"Can Matty come?" Jen asked
"Not to be mean but no because he'll be squished there and I don't want that to happen to my baby bro" Gideon explained
"So you do love him" Jen mocked-surprised said
"Whatever and yes you can bring your friends" Gideon said
"Love you Gideon" Jen said hugging Gideon before he went
Mike and Jen got back to sleep. The morning arrived and Jen and Mike woke up and got dressed, they got to school by bus and met up with Tre and Billie Joe. There first lesson was Science and before they went to Science they went to there lockers and Gideon and his friends came up to them.
"Hello oh faithful sister" Gideon greeted
"Hi Gideon" Jen replied
"You know the routine" Ben said
"We do know it but don't want to go through it" Billie Joe remarked
"Then we'll do it by force" Max replied
They stuck Jen and Tre in there lockers and pinned Billie Joe and Mike to the wall and punched them in the stomach but Mike and Billie Joe punched them back and kicked them in the balls so they went. They then got Jen and Tre out of the lockers and went to there science classroom. They sat and found they were doing an experiment in pairs so Mike and Jen went together and Billie Joe and Tre went together.
"Jen why are you just sitting there you usually are hyper when a experiment arrives" Mike asked
"I dunno just tired I guess" Jen answered
"Your a bad liar its your family situation isn't it" Mike asked
"Yep, just when I thought Gideon was human it all back-fires on me" Jen answered
"You still going to the concert on Friday" Mike asked
"Ye.....what I haven't been to Gilmans in a while I need a break goddammit" Jen replied
"I guess oh ye we're doing the opening song" Mike told Jen
"No you mean you guys are doing it I hate singing in public" Jen replied
"I know, your not even in the band but last time you gotta admit you did great" Mike said
"I did shit I only went up there so you'd shut up" Jen told Mike
"But your great with your band" Mike answered
"I guess but thats cos we've never had a gig" Jen remarked
"Oh contrer my fateful companion I got you guys a gig Sunday" Mike told Jen
"What?" Jen cried
"Gig, you, Sunday" Mike said in a neandathral way
"I know what you said but I don't want to" Jen said
"Tough luck lovey" Mike said
After school the guys and Jen got back to Jens house. Gidoen was at band practice, Jens mum and dad were at work and for some reason Matty wasn't to be seen. They went to Jens garage and the guys practiced and Jen sung along for some songs. Jen went inside to get some drinks where she found a note, she read it and ran towards the guys in the garage.
"Guys Mattys dissappeared" Jen shouted
"Just cause he's not here doesnt mean he's dissappeared" Billie Joe told Jen
"Will a note convince you" Jen cried holding the note in her hand
"Give it to me 'Dear Jen/Mum/Dad or Gideon I have decided to leave because no-one cares about me. Don't try finding me I'm far too insignificant to care about. I love you all (except Gideon) Bye. From Matty'" Tre read out loud
"Great you can read" Jen shouted sarcastically
"Jen be calm he can't of gone far" Billie Joe said calmly
"He's 12, mum and dad let him go to places by himself, of course he can go far" Jen cried
"Jen be calm lets get to Rods Hickory Pit and go from there" Billie Joe suggeste
"Sure just be calm" Jen said calmly to herself.
