409 In Your Coffeemaker, chapter 7

Mike read the letter. He wasn't shocked but yet he still didn't like it. He waited until morning to ask Jen about it, he looked at her, how peaceful she was. He put the letter down and went to sleep. Hours passed and Mike woke up first and went to have a shower, he stupidly left his clothes there lying around and also the letter was out, Jen then woke up and saw the clothes around and then saw the letter, she hadn't read it yet so she knew it was Mike or Matty, her biggest guess though was Mike because Matty would've woken her up. She picked it up and finally read it, she felt warm inside but she knew that if Mike read it he would've thought otherwise. She cleared Mike clothes and sat down and put the letter back where Mike left it. Mike then came in wet with a towel around his waist, his newly short hair dripping wet, Mike then shook his head spraying Jen and her belongings with water. He sat down and hugged Jen, his wetness cooled Jen and his stroked her cheek when letting go. She went in the bathroom and got dressed quickly and sat next to Mike.
"Your looking fine" Mike complimented
"Thanks dry off and get dressed we need to get to school" Jen told him
"Sure" Mike replied taking his clothes off the floor and going into the bathroom. A couple of minutes later Mike came in dressed and ready to go.
"Mike did you read my letter from Charlie" Jen asked Mike while walking to the bus stop
"Erm No" Mike hesitatingly lied
"I know your lieing you read it didn't you" Jen cried
"Okay I did" Mike said
"Mike you know thats between me and Charlie" Jen cried
"I dunno I just did" Mike said
"Lets just get to school already" Jen replied

They got to school and Jen sat away from Mike in any lesson she could, instead she sat next to Tre, Billie Joe or her girl-friends. She was with only Billie Joe in art so she was okay, it wasn't that she hated Mike is that she was upset in him. They were painting some objects, Jen didn't really bother with it though, Billie Joe for once put effort into it too see if Jen would do the same not to look dumb but instead Jen just did it so slowly it looked like she wasn't even doing it. After getting a detention she finally did something, she put her hair up into a bun and got some more paints, Billie Joe saw she was still upset but tried to ignore it, after a while he couldn't because tears were welling up in her eyes, Billie Joe started to hold out his arms for a hug and before he even said the word hug she ran into his arms and cried into his shoulder, he hugged her back and for a minute just let her cry until he finally said something.
"Jen tell me the whole story" Billie Joe asked
"Do I have to" Jen cried
"Wanna get outta here for a few minutes" Billie Joe asked
"Yes" Jen answered and Billie Joe got out of her grasp and went up to Mr Rogers
"Sir can me and Jen just go out to wash up" Billie Joe asked
"Sure" Mr Rogers said mind obviously somewhere else, Jen and Billie Joe then took off there aprons and went out and started walking down the corridors. Billie Joe grabbed Jens hand and eventually put his arm around her waist. After a while Billie Joe couldn't handle the silence and started speaking "Tell me the whole story then"
"Okay I'll spill" Jen started
"Why are you angry at Mike?" Billie Joe asked
"Well it all started when we came back from the concert, you remember Charlie" Jen asked
"Vaguely" Billie Joe answered
"Well he's moved here permaneantly and he sent a letter to me about it" Jen carried on, as she did they stoppedf and sat down by a nearby bench "and I instantly took it when I saw it and hid it, I didn't read it yet and I didn't really want Mike to but late at night when I was asleep he found the letter and read it, he stupidly left the letter there instead of putting it back"
"He's a twattacus" Billie Joe remarked
"In the morning Mike woke up first and went to have a shower, I then woke up while he was having it and saw the letter there I hadn't read it yet so I did and instantly knew Mike wouldn't like it so I put it back where I found it and Mike acted like nothing happened" Jen explained "We walked to the busstop and I asked him if he read it and he said 'no' denying it and I askjed again and he said 'yes' and just brushed it off without saying sorry or feeling guilty"
"I'll kill thje fucker" Billie Joe said angrily getting up amnd starting to run but Jen stopped him
"Don't tell him I told you please he'll just get angrier at me" Jen cried
"Okay but I'm still angry at him" Billie Joe said gritting his teeth

Tre and Billie Joe went home and Mike and Jen got home. Jen tried not to speak to Mike, he looked quite down aswell, Jen hoped it wasn't about this morning but had a gut feeling it was though. His hair wasn't in spikes anymore and he looked in some pain but Jen tried to ignore it. After a while the silence got irritating and she wanted to know if Mike was alright.
"Mike are you okay?" Jen asked Mike
"Yeah fine" Mike mumbled
"You don't look it" Jen commented
"Todays been shit" Mike mumbled
"What happned?" Jen asked
"its not what happened its who happened" Mike exclaimed
"Who was it" Jen asked
"Gideons mates, without Gideon" Mike said
"What did they do to you" Jen asked
"They called me rude names, said my hair was dumb, and too top it off had pen knifes with them and kept scratchin me deeply" Mike explained holding up his shirt to reveal cuts on his stomach area
"Did you fight back" Jen asked
"Yeah I tried, aafter a while they cowarded away" Mike said

They arrived home and went up to Jens room and started to play music. Mike olayed down on his temporary bed and Jen then layed down next to him and put her arm on his waist he took his top off so he could let the wounds have some air. They sat there for a while and Jen kissed him on the cheeks and then on his stomach. It made him feel a bit better but still it hurt. Jen let her hair down and rested her head on Mikes stomach and looked up.
"Mike is there anything else bugging you" Jen asked
"ye" Mike muttered
"What" Jen asked
"Its about this morning and the letter" Mike answered
"Oh" Jen muttered
"Look I'm sorry its just I don't know Charlie and you have a history and its just wierd" Mike babbled
"Its ok as long as your sorry" Jen said putting her finger on his lips then kissing him on the lips
"Thanks" Mike replied
"I'm sorry too" Jen exclaimed
"You don't have to be sorry" Mike told her
"Ok" Jen said blushing

Jen got Mikes cut sorted and put a bandage round his waist. After dinner they went inside and watched "Snow White" with Matty. Jen always loved the movie and cried at occaison, when she did she cried on Mikes shoulder and he hugged her. After the film Jen and Mike went to bed and Mike went in the same bed as Jen. Mike wasn't going into school the next day neither was Jen.
"Night Jen" Mike said kissing her forehead
"Night Mike" Jen replied
"I love you" Jen then said
"Love you too" Mike replied
