409 In Your Coffeemaker, chapter 8
Jen woke up later than usual due to the fact she and Mike took the day off. She decided to make Mike and her breakfast in bed as a treat. She went downstairs and the only sounds she could hear were the pitter-patter of her feet, she got to the kitchen and got out 2 bowls and poured Lucky Charms into them and then poured some milk. She reached to the cupboard to get 2 glasses but couldn't reach she jumped a bit and stretched out her body so you could see her stomach area, just as she was doing that Mike came in and leaned on the doorway.
"Hey gorgeous" Mike huskily said
"Mike I wanted to surprise you" Jen exclaimed
"Surprise me with Lucky Charms" Mike remarked
"I can't cook." Jen cried
"I don't care, Why don't we just have it here." Mike suggested
"Oh okay." Jen mumbled disappointed
"Aaw I'm sorry." Mike said hugging Jen from behind and kissing her softly on the neck
They ate the Lucky Charms and decided what to do with there free day. They ended up with going to Gilmans and hanging out, they knew Eyal was working there for a bit and the school didn't care if he was there or not. They walked down there and went inside and saw Eyal fixing the lights. They sat down at the bar and watched him. Eyal was one of the best tech guys and pretty darn good at singing and playing guitar. He finished off and came down and went up to Jen and Mike, he got a soda and sat down.
"Whats up guys why aren't you at school?" Eyal asked
"I got beat up yesterday with pen knives and Jen just wants a day off." Mike explained
"Got any scars." Eyal asked enthusiastically
"Yes under bandages." Mike said
"Cool!" Eyal replied
"Are the lights fixed." Jen asked
"Ye....since when did you care about tech stuff." Eyal interrogated
"Easy when I have a gig here in 2 days." Jen explained
"Cool Daisy Rocks finally got a gig." Eyal replied happily
"I know its so cool." Jen exclaimed
They hung out there until mid-afternoon, Tre and Billie Joe then came afterschool and hung out with them. Billie Joe looked bummed for some reason, Jen wondered why but had no clue what couldv'e happened. They got some sodas and sat down, still looking bummed.
"Dude what happened to make you look so bummed." Mike asked
"Nothing I'm fine." Billie Joe muttered
"No your not, c'mon spill." Jen asked
"You know Charlie has moved here." Billie Joe started
"Ye." Jen replied
"Well he's joining our school and he's not too happy with me." Billie Joe explained
"Billie c'mon man its Charlie he's fine." Eyal said defending Charlie
"He's not fine and Jen he wants to speak to you when you have your shift-which so happens to be now-at 'Mama's.'" Billie Joe explained
"Crap guys I have to go love y'all bye." Jen said rushing off just after kissing Mike on the cheeks
She got to the family restuarant and saw her mum tapping her foot, arms crossed and obviously angry, Jen quickly tied the apron round her waist and went behind the counter and waited for a customer, Gideon was there cooking and Matty was helping, her dad was in the office doing paper work and Charlie was in the kitchen along with Gideon but was just finishing up, Jens shift was a short one today so she got a chance to talk to Charlie during the shift. He came out of the kitchen and stood in front of the counter, a smug smile on his face grew as he leaned his whole body weight on his hand resting on the counter, his piercing brown eyes always got Jen so she looked down into the counter.
"So gorgeous what you doing." Charlie asked
"Charlie wipe that smile off your face, what are you here to talk to me about." Jen asked head down
"So widdle Biwwie Joe told you." Charlie said in a fake-babyish tone
"Charlie just tell me already." Jen snapped
"Don't get snappy with me, I wanted to see if your willing to go out with me again." Charlie asked
"No not after last time." Jen answered, although the letter made her feel warm the history they had was nothing but cold.
Jen carried on her shift, Charlie kept on hassling her and trying to get her to talk to him. After her short shift, which seemed like ages Jen went back home, Charlie went with to annoy her. She kept trying to lose him anyway possible, she quickened up, she slowed down, she even took a shortcut down the alleyway that she never takes, nothing could lose him, she got home and went into the bathroom and locked herself in, she texted Mike to say she was home and that he should get there quick, she hoped it would work, she heard Charlies breathing against the door, no sooner that she sent the text that she heard the front door open with Mike shouting "Jen where are you."
"I'm in the bathroom." Jen shouted
"Oh so you got your little friend to help you." Charlie whispered loudly
"Jen are you okay." Mike shouted running up the stairs
"Ye just get me out of here." Jen shouted
"Sure get out of the way Charlie." Mike told him
"No way." Charlie said in a cocky-tone
"Look I just wanna be with my girlfriend." Mike told him
"Oh okay, Jen its not over." Charlie told Jen
"Look its just me Jen." Mike told her
"OK I'll come out." Jen said unlocking the door, as soon as she came out Mike had his arms wide open and Jen ran into them and cried into his shoulders. They stayed there for a minute or so and Jen cried all her anger and emotion into his shoulder. Jen then let go and held his hand and they went into her bedroom. They sat down and didn't talk for a while. Jen cleaned herself up and went to dinner, she found to her horror that Charlie was staying over for the night to catch up with Gideon, but she knew better Charlie was there to annoy her. After dinner Mike and Jen went to her room and hung out, they went to bed, Mike put his hand on Jens hip to make her feel safe. They went to sleep but Jen couldn't sleep with Charlie on her mind. The door opened and in came a mysterious figure came in and huskily said "I said I'd be back and here I am."
