Billie Joe - 3rd Grade, chapter 1
Billie Joe sat cross legged in class, trying to pay attention. All morning his mother had lectured him: Never end up like you're brothers Billie! Never! Would you look at them? Billie Joe tried hard to pay attention but it was too boring. He stuck his hand up in the air and looked at the teacher with his best pleading face.
"Miss...may I go toilet?" he asked as politely as he could. He'd seen the looks the teachers gave him around here. They treated him just like his brothers.
"The question isn't CAN you Billie, because I'm certain you can go to the bathroom. The question is...are you ALLOWED to." the teacher said, trying to get the better of him. She knew Billie had a quick temper, as Billie narrowed his eyes. All the teachers loved to tease Billie and he knew it. He hated his school.
"That's why I said MAY I miss. If I CAN'T then I'd have a bag I poop in like your grandma does." Billie giggled, remembering what his brothers had taught him. The teacher glared at him.
"No you can't." she said shortly, as Billie's face fell.
"What? Miss I need to! You're not being fair. I was only playing. I'm sorry!" Billie tried to explain himself, but the teacher kept right on reading the stupid fucking story about some fat arse caterpillar who stuffed its face on leaves and grew to be a butterfly. Much like the system of development in his school.
"Well I'm going to piss on your car then." He said defiantly, walking out the door in a huff. The teacher looked shocked as the kids all laughed.
"GET BACK HERE!" she yelled, but Billie kept walking. Serves her right. If she couldn't hear him, then he couldn't hear her.
Billie began to walk down the stairs and into the playground. He felt someone behind him and turned around to see no one there at all. Billie frowned and kept walking, now on the grass in the 'out of bounds' area. His brothers had a hidden stash of the canteen's drinks they'd left there, which only Billie knew about. He bent over to turn up the stone with the drinks underneath but felt a foot shove him down onto his face.
"OW!" he yelled, as his chest hit the stone and his lip began to bleed. Billie turned around, expecting to see sixth graders, the bully in his class, even the teacher...but not...
"Tricia?" he asked naively, as the girl kicked him in the stomach.
"STOP IT!" yelled Billie, backing away. Patricia glared at him, but Billie saw something else in her eyes.
"What do you want?" he asked, looking up at Patricia. Patricia was no bigger than him, and his dad had told him never ever to hit girls under any circumstance, and Billie loved his dad and wasn't about to not take his advice.
"I want you to be my boyfriend or else I'll beat you up." said Patricia in all seriousness. Billie's eyes bugged out of his head.
"Huh?!" he asked, only to be kicked right in the sore spot by the now pint sized monster. Billie groaned and curled up on the grass.
"DO IT!" Patricia yelled, kicking Billie's back.
"OW! OK OK!" Billie yelled in response, clutching his ribs. Patricia smiled.
"Good. Love you Billie Joe." she said, before blushing and running away. Billie coughed and sat up, puzzled.
"What the hell?" he asked himself, watching her run away. Billie picked himself up and walked right out the gate, trying to make sense of what had just happened.
A girl liked him.
A girl actually liked him.
But she beat him up?
Because she liked him?
Did he like her?
No...he was scared of her!
Billie ran home and needed one person to make sense of it all: his father.
