Life In Paradise, chapter 16
the morning after, we were served breakfast in bed by the hotel. I couldn’t really eat most of the stuff that I was served, because of my kidney problem didn’t allow me to, but Billie and I talked and snuggled. Twas fun!
That day, we had to hit the road (airplane) again to go to Paris. After the Paris show, I would go home and step up for the wedding. The wedding would be when the tour was over, which is only in about five months. I didn’t think that the airplane would be the best place for me to have some kind of kidney failure, so Billie Joe and I were put in a special room. I hada nurse with me on the plane, a very nice nurse that was obsessive over what I ate there. But I didn’t mind. I wasn’t allowed any champagne, so we toasted with orange juice. I look back, thinking about all the funny jokes and shit that we did, and laugh.
That day, when off the plane, Billie, Mike, and Tre had to go to rehearsal. I watched from the seats and sat with Adrienne and my nurse, Kathy. Fans were already arriving to see them, but they weren’t allowed past the security gates. Me and Adrienne had a nice talk about diets and eating, and Kathy gave us tips on which foods are the healthiest.
That night, the show was awesome, as usual! I wanted to be proposed to again. I still couldn’t believe that I was getting married to him! I love him so much. (Okay, I’m getting sappy.)
That night, I packed my things in my suitcase, and left for the airport with Billie Joe. My flight would leave at 5am. We ate breakfast at the airport, and just sat in the terminal. We talked about the wedding and starting a life together.
“So, where do you think we’d be in fifteen years Billie asked.
“Um...living happily in Italy, you being retired, but producing. And I would be able to walk everywhere that I went in this little village. was my answer. He just sat there laughing at me. “What, I saw that in a dream of mine!
“Okay. he said, bending over and rubbing his hands together, still laughing. He looked up, right into my eyes, kissed me, and said, “that would be nice.
Okay, so skipping all the talk and love-dovey stares...
At about 4:15, they started boarding. I hugged Billie for the longest time, not wanting to let go, not wanting to be without him for one more second of my life. He squeezed me and said, “yeah, sweetie, I think that you have to go now!
“Can you come with me?
“Ah, no, but I’ll see you in a couple of months. And we’ll keep in touch. I let go of him and kissed him for one last time. Then I turned and walked off to the doors. The lady took my ticket, ripped off the one part that you can rip off, and called for the next person. As I was about to walk into the doors that would lead me onto the plane, I turned back (if you could imagine my turning around in slow motion, I must admit that I look kind of hot) and looked at Billie. He waved to me and I waved back, and walked on.
Well, if you were just wondering, the plane delays and flights were a mess and completly chaotic. I wanted to kill every stuartist (flight attendant) that came by and asked if I wanted some service. Sorry, but their annoying perkiness just pisses me off.
But, once I had FINALLY gotten back to California, I was better. I had to go in for a check up the day that I got back, so I asked the cab driver to take me to the hospital.
There, I was checked up on and got a scan and I presumed fine at the moment.
Then, when I got back to our enormous home, I just plopped on the couch and feel asleep. But, I only slept for about two hours when I heard the phone ring. I woke up, let is ring for about five more rings, and finally decided to pick it up.
“Hello?
“Hey tots! How was your flight? twas Billie.
“Horrible! I answered with all honesty! (Lol)
“oh, i’m sorry to hear that. But did you go to the doctors?
“Yep. They said that I was holding up fine.
“Good. Well, I’m in Luxembourg right now, going to do a show in about two hours. their times are different then California’s.
“oh, well, tell me how it goes.
“I will. So...what were you doing?
“Just sleeping.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb your slumber.
“It’s okay, wasn’t that good of a dream anyways.
“Okay, well, we have to go to rehearsal right now, so...I’ll call you tomorrow, okay?
“Alright. Love you!
“I love you too. Bye babe. click.
Hearing his voice was so reassuring!
