Billie and Amanda, chapter 16
Amanda woke up to find Billie on the floor. He was face down, lying spread-eagle style. Amanda got off the couch and lay down on top of Billie, wrapping her arms around him. After a minute, she heard him grunt.
"Good morning babe," Amanda whispered. Billie rolled around.
"Hey- ow," he placed a hand to his head.
"What's wrong," Amanda kissed his neck softly.
"Hangover," he whispered.
"Mmm," Amanda said, getting up.
"Hey-wait-wait-don't leave me down here!" Billie said, grabbing her arm.
"Alright," Amanda pulled him up. She held him close to her as they slowly walked upstairs. When they reached Billie's room, Billie collapsed on his bed. Amanda stood there smiling.
"C'mere," Billie nodded his head. Amanda grinned and walked over to him.
"What?" she lay down on top of him.
"I have to ask you something," Billie said.
"Hmm?" she asked. Billie sat up. Amanda followed his example. "Is something wrong"
"No-no, everything's fine, perfect," Billie said.
"Well?" Amanda asked. Billie grinned and took Amanda's hands into his.
"I, uh, well, Amanda?" he stuttered.
"Yes?" she said.
"Willyoumoveinwithme?" he blurted out.
"Huh?" Amanda giggled. Billie sighed.
"Will you move in with me?" he repeated, slower. Amanda's eyes widened. Billie scratched his head."I mean-there's enough room, you can stay in my room, and I-I'll talk to your dad if you want, though I don't think that'll help, and I just-I-please?" he nervously said. "It's just that I've never felt this way about a girl before, and I-I want you with me. Well?" Billie looked away, afraid of rejection. Amanda jumped on him.
"Of course I will, you dumbass, what made you think I wouldn't?" she smiled. Billie looked surprised.
"R-really?" he stuttered.
"Fuck yes," Amanda said again. The two began making out. They were interrupted by a loud, obnoxious knocking.
"Hey there lovebirds, get up Mike made breakfast," Tre said.
"Amanda and Billie sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G-"he began singing. Billie got up and threw a shoe at him. Tre dodged it.
"Geez, someone's a little moody. Amanda, I recommend you don't get this one on his bad side, if you get my drift-"Tre began.
"TRE, GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY ROOM!" Billie yelled. Tre smirked and walked away.
"Fucking asshole," Billie said. Amanda turned to him.
"When do you want me to move in?" she asked.
"Mmmm... "Billie pretended to think," right-NOW!" Billie jumped on Amamda and ended up on top of her. They started passionately kissing. After about 5 minutes, Billie pulled away.
"We should uh-probably go get your stuff then," he said.
"Yah, I guess," Amanda said. Both of their shirts were already pulled off. Amanda eyed Billie's stomach.
"Damn, when did you get so buff?" she asked.
"I been working out," Billie said.
"I love you Billie," Amanda hugged him.
"Never leave me Amanda-promise?" Billie asked.
*Flashback*
"Mandy wait!" a five year old voice echoed out across the park.
"Hurry up Jimmy!" Amanda called back. She sat down on the grass, exhausted. Jimmy came up beside her and sat down.
"Tag, you're it," he breathed. Amanda lay down and stared at the sky.
"Jimmy?" she asked.
"Yeah?" Jimmy lay down beside her. The two five year old year kids looked at each other.
"You're my best friend," Amanda said.
"You're my best friend too, Mandy" Jimmy said. It was silent for a while.
"Never leave me Mandy-promise?" Jimmy said in his squeaky voice.
"I promise," she replied

"I-I Billie, I'm sorry I-" Amanda grabbed her shirt and ran out of the room. She race down the staircase and to the door. She began running to the park. After a while, she heard footsteps behind her. She collapsed on the grass-in the exact spot she and Jimmy had laid on years ago. Billie came up beside her.
"Hunny what's wrong?" he whispered, hugging her. Amanda sobbed into Billie's shoulder.
"Did I say something?" Billie asked. After a while she looked up.
"I'm ready to tell you-you outta know," she began.
"Know what?" he asked.
"The story of Jimmy, my best friend. I loved him like a brother. Heck, he was like a brother to me," Amanda looked up to see Billie looking straight in her eyes. She took a deep breath and began her story.
"I met Jimmy when I was three years old. He was my next door neighbor. I never knew his last name-it didn't matter, what mattered was our friendship. We were best friends, all our lives. He was really, truly, the only friend I had. We always had each others backs, y'know? He was the one who helped me get over Cassie's death. He taught me to play guitar. The hardest years of my life I spent with him, and if I didn't I might not even be here today. Anyways, when he turned 16, he told me he was leaving. Leaving this 'town of make-believe.' I told him to wait. Wait for me. I wanted to go too, but I wasn't ready to leave-yet. We had a big argument, and he left. The last words I said to him were-'You'll regret this,' and now-now he's dead. I didn't even try to keep in touch with him. I could've saved him-like he saved me, so many times before, but I didn't-I didn't even try... " Amanda trailed off.
"He committed suicide," Amanda said to clear things up.
"Oh, Amanda, babe, I'm so sorry, I-I didn't know," Billie said in disbelief. He hugged Amanda.
"I'll always be here for you, you know that," he told her.
"Oh God, I hope," she said, too quietly for Billie to hear.
