Billie and Amanda, chapter 2

*Billie's POV*

God that was an awesome show. Those bands were pretty awesome too. Uh, what was that one band... The Pissers... or something like that, yea they were pretty good. Their lead singer was pretty hot too. Too bad I couldn't find her after the show, I wanted to talk to her.

*Nobodies POV*
Billie was walking out of the club just after a Ramones' song was being finished. He was heading for his car. He figured since it was Friday night-well Saturday morning now, he could have plenty of time to rest and catch up with his friends until his next show, on Saturday. Billie Joe Armstrong was in a band called Green Day. His band had just finished recording their first album 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and now they were on tour, going across the country. He was finally back in his home town and had about a weeks break until he had his next show. After that he would be heading out towards Arizona, and then the tour would be over.

*Billie's POV*

"FUCK!" I heard someone yell. Hmmm, it looked like a girl about the age of 17 holding a guitar. I'll go see what's wrong with her. As he slowly walked over, the breeze blew in his face and he was reminded of the girl on the stage. Damn, she had been good looking. He had finally reached the girl. She was still cussing. "Hey," he said. The girl spun around, startled. "Oh," she said. "Um, sorry did you hear that? I don't normally go off like that, and um... " she blushed. Billie looked into her eyes. She looked familiar... Then he remembered. She had been the girl on stage he had been staring at. Fuck she was even hotter up close. "Um that's OK," Billie finally managed to say. God why am I feeling so nervous, he thought? Billie was usually really easy around girls but... she was... different. "Well, if you don't mind me asking, um," and then, without even thinking, he went for a Tre line "what's a beautiful girl like you doing out outside all by herself?" Tre was much better at this stuff. Billie couldn't even believe he had said that. He could have kicked himself but instead he blushed bright red. Luckily it was dark so she couldn't see anything. Billie felt like an idiot. He hadn't said two words to her and he had to flirt. Then he looked up and saw her giggling. "Well, if you must know, I just played with my band The Mad Pissers, and my dad was supposed to pick me up but he's out of town, actually my whole family is out of town, so now I'm stuck here." she replied. She was still smiling. God, she had a beautiful smile. "Oh yeah, I saw you guys. You're pretty good." "Thanks!" she said. "Well, do you want a ride?" I asked. She looked deep in thought. " Yeah, you know, I would really like that." she said. "Here, I'll take your guitar," I offered. "Thanks." she said. "By the way, my name's Billie Joe Armstrong," I told her. " My name is Amanda Pulliver, nice to meet you." she said back. Hmmm... Amanda. That was a beautiful name. I was too shy to say anything back so I just smiled at her. Damn, she was hot. We kept walking to my car.

*Amanda's POV*

Oh my god. This guy was so hot. He had messy jet black and beautiful green eyes. He was wearing a black Ramones t-shirt and black pants with converse. Why did he even talk to me? He opened the car door for me and I got in the car. Billie got in too and we drove off. Normally I don't take rides from strangers but I might as well seeing as I have nowhere to go. It was silent for a while as we pulled out of the parking lot. I decided to break the silence. " So, what were you doing here?" I asked him. "I um... " Billie started " just wanted to hang out with a couple of friends so I came here. It's a pretty cool club," he said. He looked strangely familiar in the moonlight. I could tell he was still embarrassed from trying to flirt with me earlier. It was a cute attempt, I hadn't minded. Actually it made me like him even more. "So how do we get to your house?" he asked. " Well, you have to go on the freeway and then turn on Paulsen Ave. and you're there," I told him. "Ok," Billie said. Still he looked familiar...

*Billie's POV*

"Great," I said out loud. The freeway was packed as usual. This was typical California. It had been silent for a while and he decided to say something." So ,uh, what bands do you listen to?" I asked her. She looked up ,"Oh um, you know, The Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Operation Ivy-you know stuff like that," she said. " No kidding! Me too!" I said. She smiled. Wow we had a lot in common. I still didn't want to tell her that I was in Green Day. It might freak her out. "So do you like that one new band, Green Day?" I decided to take my chances. " Fuck yes, they're awesome!" she exclaimed. " Actually I have 2 tickets to their show this Saturday - do you, maybe want to go with me?" she asked. Wow did that mean she liked me? I totally wanted to say yes and I was about but then I remembered I was in Green Day and I would be playing that night. God Billie, you idiot, you like her but you can't tell no. Shit what was I going to say? "Umm... well I would love to but the thing is I kind of can't cause I-I'm... uh... busy... that day," I finished lamely. "Oh, well, I'm sorry, I was just, I mean I had an extra ticket and I kind of like you so... " she trailed off. I looked over and she was blushing. Fuck Billie you idiot, say something-wait did she just say she likes you? " Um, well since we're probably not going to get anywhere anytime soon on this freeway," I started, "do you want to get some coffee or something, I mean-,"she cut me off ," Yeah I would like that." Amanda was smiling. God she was beautiful. "Ok, well I know the owner of this little café just around the corner here." I told her. "What's it called?" she asked me. "Rudy's Can't Fail Café." And that was all I had to say before I saw a gleam in her eyes...
