Am I Jinxed? Or Am I Just Stoned?, chapter 7
I stared at my shoes, hand above the doorbell. I had no clue what made me do this, but here I was. I took a deep breath, preparing myself for what was most likely to come. A dog barked in the background, my hand shaking. I grabbed it, and pushed the doorbell to AJ and MJ's house.
"Coming!" shouted AJ. Her voice sounded so sweet that very moment, I swear I would've turned to mush. I knew Billie would be here soon, so I had to be quick. He didn't want any of us around.
Amy Joe opened the door, light spilling in through the door. She was in her pajamas: boxers and a tank top. I almost melted again.
"Hey M-"
I pulled AJ close and kissed her. At first, she struggled - pushing, kicking, clawing - but she stopped. She sort of went limp. After a bit I let go, but AJ didn't stand up. Her eyes were closed, and she just fell to the ground. Her body made a sickening thump on the ground. I gasped, hand over heart.
"She's dead. Dead. You killed her, Mikey boy. You killed her, and just threw your life away. Your future. You always knew you were a sick freak." That little voice in my head said.
"No! She...she's not dead! She can't be..." I glanced back at her. She hadn't moved. I put a finger under her nose and felt nothing. I backed away, panicking. Then I remembered about MJ. She could come down and find her. Then she would think it was Bill. I grinned. Bill could go to jail, and I would be free. Free as a bird. I casually stuck my hands in my pockets and walked down the path. I continued down the street and walked to the park. All panic-related things were gone form my mind, and I sat on a bench to watch the children play, smiling to myself.
Billie's Point of View
"He really thinks I'm dead!" said AJ, breaking into a laugh.
"Awesome! It's awesome how you can stay in such an unnatural position for a long time," I said. We were talking about the prank we pulled on Mike. I knew he liked AJ, it was obvious. So I glanced through his journal, and found out about his plan. I told MJ and AJ, and we orchestrated this whole thing.
"I can't believe we pulled this off," said MJ. She had been quiet this whole time.
AJ put a hand on her shoulder. "Manny Jack, it's okay. We can get Tre back for you. Mr. Cool isn't that stupid," she said.
I nodded. "It's true. He really isn't that stupid. And if he even thinks about another girl until it's actually over, I will personally kick his sorry white butt," MJ laughed.
"Okay guys, you win," she said, smiling for the first time in ages.

"C'mon, man. She really likes you. She wants you back. I know you want her back too," I said. Tre was being a stubborn ass. Really.
He sighed. "Bill, you don't understand. I still love her. I want her back, but you talking for her just isn't helping. I want to talk to her," Tre said. He looked down at his shoes. Wow. That's something we all like to do. I sighed and walked over to MJ and AJ. It was hard to hear them over the roar of the music.
"Tre wants to speak to you!" I shouted.
"What!?" they shouted in unison.
"Mr. Cool wants to talk you, Manny Jack!" I yelled.
They heard all right. Everyone did. The band had stopped playing, and all was quiet now. My face flushed a bright red. AJ stood up and grabbed a chair for me, making me sit down.
"Go on! Nothing to see here!" shouted MJ as she walked over to Tre.
"You're such a freak," AJ said, grinning.
"But I'm a pretty hot one if I do say so myself." I leaned back on my chair, and struck a pose...and fell off my chair. AJ started laughing. She helped me up, once she had gathered herself together.
"Amy Joe, I have to tell you something." She nodded for me to continue. "Well, it's almost the end of senior year, and I wanted to know..." I murmured the rest.
"What? Billie, speak louder," she said. I grabbed her hand and pulled her outside. I walked down the street towards the lake, her following closely behind. "Billie Joe Armstrong! Where are we going? It's freezing!" she shrieked.
I smirked. Boy, was she gonna be in for a surprise. I sat on the edge of the dock, and waited for AJ to sit next to me. Finally she came. I smiled and took a deep breath. "Amy Joe Cummings, I really like you. Really. No, scratch that. I love you. It's the end of senior year, and I wanted to know... "
I swallowed hard, then continued.
