Billie Joe, How Could You?!?, chapter 2

3 Weeks later

Cassandra and her mom found themselves in Rodeo, California with Justin a week after they were married.
She liked her new family. Her new family consisted of Justin and his son from his first wife, Ronny Blake. Ronny was the same age as her. He and Cassandra didn't get along. From the first time they met they were getting into fights. Once they became brother and sister the arguing got worse.

"I hate your fucking guts!" Cassandra yelled as she ran to her new room.
"Good, I hate yours too!" Ronny yelled through Cassandra's bedroom door. Cassandra sat on her bed, crying. She wiped her eyes. Her eyeliner was smeared across her cheeks.
She looked out her window. Down the street was her new school. She stared at it for a bit.

After a while she got off her bed and walked over to her mirror. Cassandra laughed at her appearance.
She began to remove her make up to put on more. When she felt upset she applied her make up on heavily.
Since she was feeling upset, she did just that. After Cassandra was done putting on her eyeliner and lipstick she went to her closet to change into a new outfit. She put on a black mini skirt and a tight black tank top. She looked in the mirror again to fix her hair. She only pulled back her bangs. After she was done messing with her hair she put on her shoes and ran downstairs.
"Mom! I'm going out!" she shouted as she ran out the front door. She started to walk down the sidewalk. She walked past a few houses. At one of the houses there was two boys playing basketball outside. The blonde headed boy missed the basketball hoop.
"Watch out!" yelled the other boy as the basketball came hurtling towards Cassandra.
The basketball hit her in the side. She was knocked sideways into the street. The two boys ran over to Cassandra help her up. They both grabbed one arm and pulled her to her feet.
"Thanks," Cassandra said rubbing her side.
"I'm so sorry," The blonde headed boy said.
"Mike has terrible aim," said the other boy. He looked into Cassandra's eyes. Cassandra couldn't help but stare. The second boy had piercing green eyes.
"By the way I'm Billie Joe, but you can call me Billie," he said holding out his hand.
"Hi, I'm Cassandra. You can call me Cassie if you want," Cassie said shaking his hand.
"And I'm Mike," Mike said.
"Are you new here?" Billie asked. Cassie nodded. She was a little shy.
"Where do you live?" Mike asked. Cassie pointed to her house.
"Cool I live right next door," Billie said. Cassie flashed a small smile.
"Do you play basketball?" Mike asked. Cassie nodded. Mike held out the ball, but Cassie wouldn't touch it.
"Do you want to play or not?" Billie asked.
"I guess," Cassie answered.
Mike started to dribble down the driveway.
Billie followed. Cassie was the last to follow. She stayed out of the game and just watched. After awhile of playing Billie and Mike stopped playing basketball and sat next to Cassie.

Then began a lifelong friendship.
