Am I your dirty little secret?!, chapter 3
"Oh, that," Mike said and Billie and Tre nodded. Mike looked down, as in shame.
"Are you okay?" Tre asked Mike. Mike shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know," Mike said quietly. Tre and Billie looked at each other. There was a heavy silence in the room.
"Oh my god!" Tre said. "She died, didn't she?" he asked and Mike looked him in the eyes.
"This is it! This is the solution" Mike thought to himself.
"Well...yeah," he said and Tre hugged him.
"Dude..." Billie sighed. Tre let go of Mike, and Billie hugged Mike.
"I'm so sorry, I mean, I couldn't imagine life without either Joey or Jakob." Billie said and he let go of Mike. Billie turned to Tre. "Maybe we should leave." Billie said and Tre nodded. Billie and Tre stood up.
"I'll take you to the door," Mike said standing up.
Billie pushed him back down. "Mike you just stay here, we know the way to the door, you need some time alone," Billie said and he and Tre left.
Mike sat there, staring at the wall. Then he heard the front door slam shut.
Mike stood up, and he started pacing around the room.
"Mike you are an idiot!" Mike yelled to himself.
"You gave up a child! You lie to your friends!" he kept on yelling and he walked to a wall and he punched it.
"YOU! OF ALL PEOPLE MIKE!" he yelled and he started crying, he literally broke down.
Then the phone rang. Mike quickly stopped crying and he picked up the phone.
"Hello?" Mike asked
"Hello, Mike Dirnt?" and unknown voice asked
"Yeah, why?" Mike asked
"My name is Edwin Hickey, I'm calling because of Annabelle Grace," the man said.
Mike almost dropped the phone, but he barely caught it.
"Annabelle Grace?" Mike asked.
"Yes, Annabelle Grace, your daughter" he said
"What about her?" Mike asked
"Well her adoptive parents left her and so she needs a legal guardian," the man said
"So?" Mike asked meanly.
"You told Mrs. Coney that you would happily take custody of your daughter if anything happened," he said and Mike froze. Mrs. Coney must've been that nice woman.
"Yeah, you're right" Mike said.
"Fine, we'll send her over, she'll be there by tomorrow," the man said and before Mike could say anything about it, the man hung up.
Mike sat down on his bed and he started crying.
"How the fuck am I supposed to hide this shit from the guys?" Mike asked himself.
Then the doorbell rang.
Mike stood up and he went down stairs, stopping the crying on his way.
He opened the door and there stood Adrienne and Billie with a bouquet of flowers.
"I'm sorry about your daughter," Adrienne said and she handed Mike the flowers.
"When Billie told me, I insisted on coming here," Adrienne said and she looked Mike in the eyes.
"Okay, Billie lets go. I think Mike needs his time alone," Adrienne said and they said goobye and they left. Mike closed the door and he leaned against it, and he looked at the flowers. He felt a strong sense of guilt grow within.
