Maria's Journey, chapter 3
When I woke up Tre was still complaining. "Are we there yet?" I laughed. Mike looked kind of pissed. Billie was sitting at the window. Looking outside while he was talking in the cell phone. "Yeah, Adrienne! We're on the way home!" he said. I guessed his wife was on the phone. "How far is it?" I asked Mike. He gave me an ugly look. "It's about two hours!" He said and went back to the driving.
*About two hours later*
I stepped out of the car and it was good to feel fresh air again. "Thanks for the ride guys!" I said and took my things. "Where are you going now?" Mike asked and started taking stuff out of the car. "Yeah, do you have anywhere to go?" Billie asked and looked at me with a worried look. I looked at my shoes. "I...I...I don't know!" I said and felt the tears behind my eyes. "Bye guys!" I said and started to walk away. "You can live at my place..untill you have somewhere to go!" Billie said and looked at me.
I couldn't live with my hero, it had been hard enough to drive with him. "I'll find someplace...It was nice meeting you guys!" I said and started to walk away. Tre held me back.
"You can't walk around without nowhere to go!" he acted quite adult. I looked down. "Let me go Tre!" I said and tried to get away from his tight grip. It didn't work. He was very strong. Probably from playing the drums. A tear fell from my eye. "If you don't stay with one of us, I will kidnap you!" Tre said. I had to laugh a bit, but he looked pretty serious! "I have no choice do I?" I said. All three of them nodded. "Go with Tre!"
"Tre this house is HUGE!" I said. Tre laughed and showed me my room. "Is it ok?" he said and looked over at me. I stood there with my mouth open. It was like a mansion. "I'll be just fine!" I gave Tre a big smiled and asked him to leave. I wanted to change my clothes. Tre went out of the room. I sat down on the bed and started to unpack my things.
I changed into a red top and a pair of baggy jeans full of holes and a black jacket so I wouldn't get cold. I went downstairs where Tre was sitting and watching TV. "Want to go to the mall or something?" Tre said. "You could probably need something descent to eat. And drink!" He laughed and followed me out to the car.
The mall was packed with people. "Where do you wanna go?" Tre said. I pointed at a cosy little restaurant at the end of the mall. Tre nodded and started walking. In one of the windows I saw this beautiful dress. It was black with a hot pink ribbon around the waist. I stopped and just watched it with my mouth open. "Don't drool!" Tre said and dragged me away from the dress.
"So what do you want to eat?" Tre asked and looked at the menu. "I'll have some pasta!" I said and started thinking about the dress again. "And some coke to drink?" he said. I nodded. Tre ordered. "I have to go to the..toilet!" He said and walked away.
The waiter came with the food in the exact same moment as Tre came back with a bag in his hand. "Would you like to come with me to that award show on Friday?" he asked and looked at me. "I would love to...but I don't got anything to wear!" Tre dragged a box up from the bag. "Now you do!" he said and gave it to me. Inside the black and hot pink dress where lying and my mouth dropped. I gave Tre a big hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"
*About two hours later*
