Green Day?... Or Adrienne?, chapter 3

"RISE AND SHINE BJ!" Tre Cool shouted, running through the room as quickly as his size-six feet would carry him, throwing open the curtains to reveal the seven AM sun.

"Uuuuhg," Billie Joe groaned crankily, pulling the covers over his head.

He had fallen asleep around three in the morning, having drank himself to get there.

"Want some eggs?! Or, or, some bacon? Or FRENCH TOAST?" Tre screamed, his lips not two inches from Billie Joe's ear.

"No, no, and NO. I want you to FUCK THE HELL OFF!" Billie Joe yelled back, hitting Tre with his pillow, which he'd just torn out from under his head in anger.

Tre pretended to be hurt, and hung his head, beginning to slink off.

"Tre, SCRAM!" Billie Joe yelled, wincing as a sharp pain shot through his head. "Close the window first though," he mumbled, closing his eyes and rubbing his temples with his index and middle fingers.

Just like Adrienne used to do for him when he had a headache.

It was almost as if he could feel the bed shift as she crawled up behind him, first resting her chin lightly on his shoulder, then kissing his jawbone. Then she'd massage his shoulders, up to his neck, then his temples.

When Billie Joe opened his eyes, he noticed that the window was closed and the room was empty.

Sighing some what contently, he flopped down onto his back, wondering how things were going back home.

How were Jakob and Joey doing?

Was Adrienne okay?

How was Claudia?

Or Brittney?

And Stella, Frankito, and Ramona?

Shaking his head, he wondered how long it would be before they were all on tour with Green Day again.

Sure, Billie Joe liked it being just himself, Mike, Tre, and the bus driver.

But he liked having all the families there at once even more.

The way all of the children ran around the bus, screaming and yelling at one another.

Adrienne, Claudia, and Brittney hanging out in the lounge, usually with wine coolers, talking about nothing and everything, while their husbands, or fiancees, sat next to them, intent on getting loaded.

He also remembered Adrienne getting totally frustrated and yelling, "This bus is like a traveling circus!"

And she was right. How the guys managed to get anything done while they were on tour was beyond him.

Most likely because the women handled everything.

Smirking as the memories flooded him, he wondered if their women would ever be on tour with them.

More specifically, if Adrienne would ever be on tour with them again.

And oh God, how he hoped so.
