Green Day?... Or Adrienne?, chapter 6
Billie Joe had no idea how long he'd been asleep. All he knew was that the sun was shining in his eyes, and Tre was singing "Hips Don't Lie".
He's no Shakira, Billie Joe thought, keeping his eyes closed as he rolled over onto his back.
Oh God. What if he's belly dancing? Billie Joe thought, alarmed. Snapping his eyes open, he jumped out of his bunk at the speed of light, running into the kitchen to find Tre swaying his hips back and forth.
"Dear God," Billie Joe murmured, leaning against the wall for support. "Can't... Stop... Watching," he choked out, trying the hardest he ever had not to laugh.
Tre turned around, hearing the voice of someone else.
"Ah!" He screamed shortly, smacking his hands over his navel.
"I'm on tonight, you know my hips don't lie and I'm startin' to feel it's right," Billie Joe sang mockingly, popping his own hips out of place and rotating them, which got an amused look from Tre.
"I'll..., come back later," Mike said slowly, standing in the doorway of the kitchen. His forest green boxers were slung dangerously low on his hips, and his upper body was naked, and in his left hand he cradled a light blue mug, no doubt filled with coffee.
Billie Joe and Tre both turned a bright shade of crimson, then both tried, at the same time, to explain their strange behavior.
Mike quirked an eyebrow. "Freaky people," he muttered, giving his head a small shake.
Mike then stepped past his two shorter friends, and to the refrigerator, where he proceeded to pull out a box of Crispy Creme doughnuts. "Want one?" he offered, opening the box and holding it out to Billie Joe and Tre.
"Are there any with sprinkles?" Tre piped up, looking into the box to examine the doughnuts. He then selected one with pink frosting and bright green sprinkles, while Billie Joe opted for a standard glazed one.
Mike, in turn, selected his own blueberry doughnut, then slid the white and green speckled box back into the fridge.
Upon swallowing the last of his doughnut, Billie Joe took Mike's coffee cup from him, took a drink, and then returned it, wrapping Mike's long fingers around the handle.
"Thanks," Billie Joe smiled innocently, after swallowing the dark liquid.
"Yeeaah. No problem," Mike nodded, giving his friend a strange look.
Then, hearing the phone ring, Billie Joe jogged out to answer it, hoping that it was Adrienne.
