Cut Up Angels, chapter 3
My alarm rang out at 7:30 the next morning.
"Damn," I whispered under my breath.
I had a shower then got changed into my black jeans, a burgundy t-shirt and my black hoodie adding my pink and black converses.
I brushed my hair into two long plaits after drying it.
I picked up my new book bag that was packed with all the new things dad had gotten for me then walked out of my room locking it after me. Before leaving I knocked loudly on Jack's door then ran downstairs.
"I'll drive you today," dad said meeting me at the bottom of the spiralling stairs.
The drive lasted no longer then 10 minutes. When dad pulled up outside the school he sent me a reassuring smile, I tried to smile back but failed miserably, instead I sighed shakily and got out of the car. So not ready for my first day in a new school.
I was lost already. What seemed like millions of kids pushed past me, all with their own group of friends. It wasn't that I was lost but I also felt lost to, without Chase and Zoey (another one of my old mates) by my side it just didn't feel right.
"Raven!!" Came I voice I recognised. I spun round to see Casey running towards me.
"Er hi," I smiled.
"Well, welcome to school!" Casey grinned. "You have to come meet my friends!" She then exclaimed grabbing my arm and dragging me over to a group of people. This girl is hyper all the time!
"Raven these are my friends: Gerard... " a guy with long hair and pale features waved. "his brother Mikey... " a cute nerdy version of Gerard smiled. "Ray, Bob... " a guy wit the coolest hair and a blonde lad waved. "Simone... " A girl with black hair and red streaks smiled. "Ira... " another girl of about 5'2 with medium length black hair and brown eyes waved. "And Sharnee," an average height girl also with black hair and a lip ring nodded.
Wow. Lots of people's names to remember. But they looked cool and were defiantly helping on my 1st day.
"Gerard!!" Someone shouted. Next minute a random short guy jumped on Gerard's back.
"Frank! Get off me!" Gerard shouted, the lad got off his back and when he looked up I recognised him straight away.
He went quiet as soon as he saw me and when Casey introduced us he didn't even look at me.
I soon learned that Casey, Simone and Gerard were in the year above us.
"So Raven," Ira said when we sat down for lunch. "You're the one who lives in The Starling Hotel aren't you," she added I assumed Casey had told them. She wasn't with us at the minute; she had detention for throwing paint in art or something.
"Ye, my dad owns it," I replied.
"Frank works there as a porter or summit like that," Sharnee said moving up so I could fit my tray on the table.
"Really? I... er... I've never noticed him," I lied.
"HI!" Came Casey's voice.
"Thought you had detention," Ira said confused.
"Managed to get out of it," Casey shrugged "So, how's our newest friend?"
"I'm good," I smiled.
"Newest friend with, and I quote, 'a hot brother' eh Casey?" Sharnee smirked, Casey blushed and me and Ira laughed.
"Ra you coming to the guy's band practise?" Simone asked as we walked out of school.
"Er sure," I replied not knowing the guys even had a band then I noticed Jack standing by dad's car.
"RAVEN!" he shouted.
"Is that the hot brother?" Simone, Ira and Sharnee said together, Casey blushed.
"Hey!" Gerard joked.
"Not as hot as you though!" Simone laughed. If you haven't already guessed her and Gerard are together. The other couples in the group are Mikey and Ira and Sharnee and Ray.
"Are you ignoring me baby sister?!" Jack shouted smirking. He decided that I was and ran over and jumped on me.
"Er Jack?" I asked, he was hugging me and I could hardly breathe.
"Ye?"
"Get. Off. Me!"
