The Prom Night That Brought Us Together, chapter 12
Katie woke up then next morning to find sunshine in her face and to birds cherping. She got out of bed and gathered her belongings and went in the waiting room to wait on April. April finally showed up and Katie checked out of the hospital. She was glad to get out of there after being there for about three days. Katie greeted April and April took her stuff and stuck it in the trunk of her car. They both got into the vechicle. Katie was thinking about something to say to Billie Joe when she would see him tomorrow night. Katie thought about a poem to write to him. She thought of it and took out a small piece of paper and a pen that she had in her purse.

Katie wrote it all down and folded it and stuck it in her purse.
"What were you writing Katie?" April said curiously.
Katie looked over to April and said,"Oh, just a poem I made for Billie Joe, thats all."
"Can I hear it?" Asked April.
Katie told April all of it and then said,"So what do you think, do you think he'll like it?"
Aprils moth dropped and said,"That was an awesime poem, and yes he'll love it."
Katie smiled and then just rememberd to tell April,"Oh yea April, I forgot to tell you for you to go to my house so that I can take a shower, get clean clothes, put on fresh make-up, and get my pajamas for tonight and also some clean clothes for tomorrow."
April said,"Ok, but when we get to your house, can I get something to eat because I didn't ave any breakfast this morning?"
Katie looked up at her and said,"Yea sure, whatever you want to eat."
April went into the parking lot when they got ther and went up to Katies apartment. Katie put the key in the door and went in with her and April taking off thier shoes. Katie went up stairs and was going to take a shower. April was looking around to find something to eat, but then she came across her favorite cereal and started to eat that. When April got her cereal, she went into the living room and ate it in there. Katie after 20 minutes got out and got dress. She wore ripped jeans, a red shirt, with a black huddy, a stud belt, and she put on her old black and white converses. She then aplied on her make up and wore, black eye-liner, red eye-shadow, maskera, and a little bit of blush. She then got her money. She had $247.65 which at first was going to save up for a gutar, but figured to use the money to buy her the outfit she wanted for the gig.
She went down stairs saying,"Ok April, I'm ready to go now."
April got off the couch and stuck the bowl in the sink , got her shoes on, and went out the door with Katie. They went down to Aprils car and got in. They were going to go to the mall.
Katie began to rumble on saying,"I wonder if Billie Joe still loves me?"
April had her eyes on the road and said,"I bet he still does, now Katie get Billie Joe out of your thoughts and lets have a good time at the mall ok?"
Katie smiled and said,"Well, ok."
There was slience the rest of the way there. In about 10 minutes later they arrived at the mall.
April said thinking hard,"So what store should we go to, to buy our outfits at?"
Katie laughed and said,"Well duhh, Hot Topic of course."
April laughed too, and they walked over to Hot Topic.
When they walked in, Katie saw an outfit that she really liked. It was a blakc skirt, with a lime green t-shirt, lime green and black striped socks, black jelly bracelets, and lime green earings. April liked the same thing, but instead of it being lime green, it was purple.
They both bought it and walked out of Hot Topic being hungry. They found a nice little pizza place in the mall, and ate there. They both bought a slice of pepperoni pissa with a coke and rootbeer. They then took a seat and began to eat.
After an hour they decided to rent some movies at the Movie Gallery. Both decided to rent scary movies. They picked out the ones they wanted to watch and rented them.
Then they went home and began to watch them.
