The Prom Night That Brought Us Together, chapter 20
Billie Joe drove Katie back to his house. When he made it there he seen Katie sleeping, so he picked her up and took her in the house. He sat her down on the couch and took off her shoes and coat, and then carried her to his room. They fell asleep.

Tre' thought about what Billie Joe said. He thought about if the stranger was going to come to there house, and when, was he going to kill them, he didn't know what was going to happen. But he new he couldn't tell April or of them all, Katie. And soon, he fell asleep too.

The 4th of July...
The 4th of July was here, so Billie Joe and Katie were having a cook out. Billie's mom Ollie was there, Billie Joe's brother and sister, plus some other close family. Tre's parents where there and so was Aprils. Mike was there and so was is parents, and Billie Joe had a few close friends over too.
Katie walked in the house and Billie Joe could tell she was sad. He followed her in the kitchen and watched behind the wall and saw Katie crying. He walked in and pretended that he wasn't watching her because he knew she wouldn't him. Plus having all everyone's parents there and not hers, he knew that had to be the reason.
"Hey babe," Billie Joe said walking in like nothing was wrong
Katie hurried up and turned her head so he couldn't see that she was crying and said, "Hi."
"What's wrong Katie?" Billie Joe said pretending not to know.
She said quickly, "Oh nothing."
Billie Joe playing dumb said, "Why ya crying?"
"I just had something in my eye, that's all," Katie said trying to hide why she was crying.
Billie Joe walked over to her and he put both hands on her hips and said, "You know, you can tell me anything, if something is bothering you."
Katie looked down and said, "Yeah I know."
Billie Joe tried to look at her in her eyes and said, "So tell me babe what's wrong?"
She started to cry into Billie Joes chest and said, "Just having everyone's parents' here, it brings back memories."
Billie Joe kissed her head and said, "It's ok babe. A lot of people here seeing their dads' bring me back memories too."
He let her cry all of her tears out and then said, "So are you ready to go back to the party?"
Katie smiled and they held each others hand and walked out to the party.

9:30pm...
It was time for the fire works to go off. Everyone grabbed a chair and took a spot in the grass. Billie Joe and Katie instead of sitting laid on a blanket. The fire works had begun.
You could here people go, "Awww, wow, look at that one, that one is so pretty, that one looks cool."
Billie Joe looked at Katie and saw the color of the fire works change in her eyes. He leaned in and kissed her.
They kissed for awhile and Billie Joe said, "I love you Katie, and I will always."
She smiled and touched his cheek and said, "I will always love you too, Billie."
They kissed again and watched the rest fire works.
