Geek in the Pink, chapter 2
We finished our lunch soon enough. We then parted. She went for a biology class and I went to a stupid German class. I don't even know why I ever took German.
I was not asleep during German class, I was writing a song. I came up with a nice tune and I started to write the lyrics out. To my own surprise, the lyrics link to Maria. Like her appearance, attitude or whatever. I'm surprised.
After the stupid German class finished, I went for my Geography class. I met Maria again in that class. We ended up sitting next to each other again. She smiled at me.
Mrs. Keith the Geography teacher was damn strict, so I'd pay attention to her, even though my mind was drooling to someplace else. Maria was still paying attention to her. If I was not wrong, when she was taking notes, she hummed the Korn song 'Coming Undone'. She's pretty strange.
Luckily geog was the last period. After that, I rushed out from the classroom and headed to my drummer's house. Will was my drummer. Oh yeah, I also have a band, it's called The Incident. We were sorta lack of good names, so we just anyhow call it The Incident, without real meanings. Maybe we could change our band name later.
Not much people really knows our band. The band was just formed around three months ago. We never had gigs before.
So, I went to Will's garage. We started to play some shit down there.
"So how's school? Bet it sucked more," Will said.
"Yeah. Damn you and lucky you. Graduated. It's still six more months till I'll be graduated!"
"Just go with it," Will smiled.
"Oh yeah, I wrote a song during German class. Wait."
I went to search in my bag for the lyrics and chords. I handed it to Will.
"Geek in the Pink?" he frowned," Isn't it like the Jason Mraz song?"
I shrugged. "I think so. But I have no idea how to title it."
"Just call it Untitled then."
"Simple Plan sucks."
Will laughed. "They suck, but they're not that bad."
"Whatever. What do you think about the song?"
"Have no idea. Play the song."
I played the song. Well, actually I played it and listened to it for the first time also.
"Hmm... okay. Well, let's see what the others think first. Kevin and Mike should be coming sometime later," Will said.
"Oh."
"Joe, let's play some stuff."
"Okay."
We started to play some Blink-182 stuff. However, when I played, something bugged me. It's Maria.
Her image kept 'popping' in my head. I don't know. Am I in love with her?
I have no idea.
