Lost Thoughts, chapter 2
***In Class***
You walk back into the classroom and see a television in the front. 'Hey! Yeah, sleep time.' you think walking over to your desk, Mike right behind you.
"Great another one of those plant movies." Mike mumbles as he sits down in front of you. You look over to the middle of the classroom and see Billie Joe writing something. He stops when the teacher walks in and puts it away.
"Okay guys, today we are going to be watching...." The teacher starts. You lay your head down and don't hear much of the rest except for the part that says the movie will last the rest of the class period. The lights go off and you close your eyes. You don't quite get to doze off because you feel something slide under your arm. You sit up and look at it. It's a note. You open it up quietly and start to read it.
"Hey Jess, This class is so dumb. What are you doing tomorrow? I was wondering if you wanted to skip with us tomorrow."
You pull out a pen from your bag and write : "Hey Mike, I don't have anything planned for tomorrow. Sure I'll go with you guys. Where do you want me to meet you?"
You slip it around his side. And watch him as he writes.
"How about the corner of 10th where we saw you this morning? Oh you will get to meet Tre' too."
You finish reading and fold the paper up and shove it in your pocket.
"Sounds good." you whisper to Mike.
He nods and looks over at Billie Joe who's face is buried in his arms as he sleeps.
"Looks like Billie Joe's enjoying the movie." Mike says.
"Yeah, I think I'm about to join him." You say laying your head down.
"Hey Jess?"Mike says.
"Hmm?" You say closing your eyes.
"What do you think of Billie Joe?"He says as you start to doze off.
"He's cute..." You say, not meaning to though you meant to say he's quiet, but your thoughts kind of came out.
You drift off to sleep.
You wake up to an aweful bright light. "Have a good day guys!" The teacher says as the bell rings. You walk to your last class of the day and take a seat in the back. You get out your notebook and start to draw but look up when you hear a loud crash of something breaking, hitting the floor. "TRE' JUST GO SIT DOWN! PLEASE!" The teacher says frustrated. The boy called Tre' walks and takes a seat next to you. You stare at him then back at your drawing. "Hi I'm Tre' Cool." He says looking over at you. "Hi I'm Jessie. Are you the one Mike and Billie Joe were talking about?" You say.
"Well that depends if they said I am the greatest drummer of all time then yes, if not then I've never heard of them in my life." He says tilting his head up. He is very hyper you notice.
You laugh "I guess it's not you then."
He looks hurt but smiles and starts to laugh with you.
You continue talking until the bell rings to go home.
You and Tre' walk out to the courtyard to find Billie Joe and Mike.
"Hey Jessie! I see you already met Tre' huh?" Mike says walking up.
"Yeah, we have a class together." You say as you see Billie Joe walking up behind Mike. He looks up and you and smiles, you smile back but see his face drop as he sees Tre'.
'Tre' always gets the girls...' Billie thinks.
"So um hey where do you live Jess?" Mike asks as you all start walking.
"On the other side of town." You say pointing to you left.
"Why did you have to come here then would you be going to another school?" Tre' says.
"Well I had to come here because we are about to move over there." You say pointing to your right.
"That's where we live." Billie Joe says.
"Oh?" You say looking up at him, he looks up from the ground and smiles.
You all continue to walk until you reach your turn.
"Well I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow here okay?" You say as you start to walk towards your house.
"Well wait Jessie, Don't you think it's kind of dangerous walking all that way by yourself? I mean now all the drunks are out and stuff. Do you want one of us to walk with you?" Mike says.
"I didn't think of that. I guess if one of you want to, but you would have to walk all that way back." You say sweetly.
"I will!" Tre' starts to say, but Mike elbows him in the side. You don't seem to notice that though.
"Billie Joe are you up for it?" Mike says.
"Huh? Oh um yeah sure." He says looking up.
"Okay well see you two tomorrow." You say turning with Billie Joe.
