Charlie- 17, Anna's best friend, long, brown hair with black streaks, blue eyes, plays guitar and sings lead in Fight Authority.
Olivia-17, blonde hair, gray eyes, everyone hates her. Dating Trè.
Anna got out of bed and stretched. She walked over to her mirror and inspected herself.
Bad news. Her brown hair looked like that of Medusa's. Her eyeliner had smudged down her face, and she had raccoon eyes. She breathed into her hand to test her breath.
Ucch, it smelled horrible. And, to top it all off, she had a hangover from hell. God, this was starting off to be a great day. She walked over to her bathroom and jumped into the shower. Great, her sister had already used up all of the hot water. Well, maybe the cold water would wake her up. She jumped out of the shower and pulled on a Ramones tee, a pair of jeans, applied her eyeliner darkly, and pulled her brown hair into a ponytail. Time to go to school.
Mikes POV, walking to school
I had to stop by Trè's house to pick up him and Anna. God, Anna. What could I say about her? Pretty? She was beyond that. Beautiful? That was too classy. Hot? That was too trashy. Gorgeous? I guess that was the best. But, it seemed like a word a girl would use to describe another girl. I guess Anna could not be described. And, I was going to ask her tonight to the homecoming football game and dance. Anna bounded out of her house and ran up to me.
"Trè isn't going today. I think he stayed out too late partying."
'Yes, I have a whole fifteen-minute walk alone with her, until we get to Charlie's house.'
"Thank god that Olivia doesn't walk with us to school. I don't think I could handle her whining about Trè not coming to school for a full ten minutes," Anna said.
"I know. She is annoying and ugly. I have no idea what he sees in her," I replied.
We walked the rest of the way, talking about our favorite subject: the Ramones.
"In my opinion, 'I wanna be sedated' is their greatest song ever," Anna said.
"Nope, it's Rock n' Roll High school all the way," I replied.
We argued about it all the way to Charlie's house, who finally settled the dispute.
"Rock n' roll high school," she said simply.
"HA, IN YOUR FACE," I screamed, and then I pushed Anna and ran.
"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE BASTARD," Anna yelled, chasing after me.
Charlie stayed behind us, and I could hear her sigh.
We chased each other for the full three minutes it takes to get to Billie's house. He slammed the door and I could hear Ollie calling after him, "Billie Joe! How many times do I have to tell you to not slam the door?" Billie just rolled his eyes, and sped-walked to catch up with us.
"Hey there sweetie," he said, and then kissed Charlie on the cheek. "Where's Trè at? It seems so quiet without him," Billie asked.
"Oh, he's staying home today. Too much partying and a killer hangover," Anna replied.
Soon, we arrived at school. I had homeroom, chemistry, lunch, and English with Anna. All of the other classes I had with Billie, Trè, or Charlie. We all had lunch together.
The minute we walked into school, Olivia ran up to us.
"Hey you guys. Where is Trè?" she said in her annoying, sing-songy, preppy voice.
God, I hated her so much. She had stolen Trè from us, but, more importantly, she made Anna upset. Her and Trè were very close.
"Olivia, could you just leave us the hell alone? Trè is home sick, so don't bother coming over later today. He isn't allowed to have any visitors," Anna replied.
Olivia just got an evil look on her face and walked away.
Shit, homeroom was in three minutes.
"Want to get going to homeroom, Mike? I really don't want to be late and have Ms. To be mad at us again," Anna asked.
"Sure. Bill, I'll catch up with you later. See ya around, Char." Anna started walking and I jogged to catch up.
She was really off-kilter today, for some reason. Probably Trè, I reasoned. He hadn't been out with us last night, which meant he had to have been partying with Olivia and her crowd. This got Anna mad, since it meant Trè wanted to spend more time with that slut than his own flesh and blood.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. It just bothers me that Trè was out with her and got drunk, maybe even stoned. He used to just do that with us." Bingo, exactly how I pinpointed it. Sometimes, I knew her too well.
Just then, a football player fell into step with us, but I hardly suspected it was me he wanted to talk to.
"Hey, Anna, can I talk to your for a second," the football player named Brian or something like that asked.
"Um, An, I'll meet up with you in class. See you in a little bit."
"Ok, Mike. I'll be in there in a little bit."
Oh, shit.
