Bleed to Love Her, chapter 3
Mike awoke in the middle of the night, and he saw that Sayako was still sleeping. He saw a black diploma-print 'C' tattoo on her right shoulder, and he tried to move the sleeves of her robe down to see more of the word beginning with 'C. ' She turned over, making it more difficult to see what it was, so he decided to go back to sleep with this beautiful woman in his arms.

"Stop over anytime," said Sayako out on the front step as she watched Billie Joe, Adrienne, Mike and Tré pull out of the driveway, and they drove off into the distance. She went back inside as she felt a small bit of snow fall down her back from the snow-filled gutter. She looked around for her phone, and she dialed up her friend, Jessica's number.
"Hello?" came the voice of Jessica.
"Hey, wanna go up to Afton?"
"Fuck yes! After finishing up this song, I'll get my skiis, and we'll go up to Afton."
"Let me hear what you've got..."
"Hold on..." Jessica put her on speakerphone, then she began picking the guitar strings of her acoustic.

"She may be my fraternal twin, but we share the ability to cook really well," said Adrienne.
"What is her real name?" asked Mike.
"We're not allowed to tell you," said Billie.
"Fine, be that way... But I know it starts with a 'C'..."
"How do you know that?"
"There's a black 'C' on her right shoulder, and before I could see the rest of the word, she turned over."
"YOU SLEPT WITH HER LAST NIGHT?" shouted Adrienne.
"We didn't do anything, so calm down!"
"But still... But you kissed her, didn't you?" she saw his face turn red. "I knew it..."
"Why'd you kiss her?" asked Billie.
"I don't know, I just... Did. Damn, she's so beautiful."
"Oh, and Brittney isn't?"
Shit! he thought. He didn't think about Brittney at first, and now he felt really guilty that he had kissed another woman. "I didn't think about that..."
"Nicely done, and we all know that she can get anyone to tell anything," said Tré.
"Shut up, Tré... But about Sayako. There's more to her than what you can see..." said Adrienne.
"What the hell does that mean?"
"Figure it out."
"Oh fine..." he turned his head, looking out the window, wondering what Sayako was doing.

"WOO HOO!" Sayako screamed down the black diamond slopes at Afton Alps. She made a nice curve around Jessica at the bottom of the hill.
"Jeez, Char... If you were any closer, you would have killed me!"
"Sorry... Man, I'm tired. Let's go home to my place..."

What does Adrienne mean, 'There's more to her than you can see'? Mike thought as he stared at the ceiling. Is there something I don't know about? He watched as Brittney joined him in bed, and began their night of passion.

There was a small flutter of feathery wings as Sayako sat on her roof with her sweater at her side. The shivering cold winter night in Minnesota seemed not to end for her as she thought about Mike.
I hope he'll never know of my secret... Or else I'm screwed... she thought. She got up and swung her black hair behind her, and she left her rooftop, leaving behind a pure white feather.
