Welcome To My Life, chapter 3
*2 years later*
"Umm Gerard wheres Leon?"
"I thought he was with you"
"Dammit Gerard you couldn't of watched him for 10 fuckin' minutes!" I said picking up the phone.
"Hello Tre would Leon be over there by any chance?"
"No sorry I'll call Billie if you want me to," Tre said
"No I will." Dammit wheres my baby hes two years old I was thinking to myself.
"Gerard you haven't been much of a help," He was bugging the fucking hell out of me in other words.
"Well sorry just because your kid is gone doesn't mean you can have a bitch fit."
"Get the fuck out now! He isn't just my kid he is yours to! So just get out I never want to see you again!"
I called Billie Joe to see if Leon was there
"Hello?" Adrienne answered
"Leon isn't over there is he?"
"No sorry why?"
"Well Gerard was supposed to watch him for 10 minutes no we can't find him, I have to call Mike."
I called Mike he wasn't there either 'Dammit where's my baby' I was thinking to myself. 'Okay if I was a 2 year old where would I be' Shit! I don't know that was 18 years ago. Just breathe I'll find him.
"Gerard get out of my fuckin' house now"
"I'm going I'm going hold your fuckin horses"
"I went out side to look to see if Leon was out there but what I found was far from what I was looking for. There Leon lay with a snake bite on his leg. 'It must have been a rattle snake' I thought to myself and I started to cry
"What's wrong?" Tre asked
"Leon he's dead!" I said "He had gotten bit by a rattle snake"
"He can't be we got rid of them last week!" I held my baby close to me and prayed to god he would come back like in the soap operas, but he didn't. He was in my arms pale and cold, with his little Green Day shirt on and black converse Billie Joe had given him.
"My baby he's gone!" I screamed starting to cry
"I'm not gonna say it's okay or this has happened to me 'cause it really hasn't, I'm really sorry. But at least he gets to meet his Grandma"
"N-no N-no he not dead he just playing, right come on Leon wake up for mommy come on nap time is over," I was literally going crazy "Wake up Leon please for mommy," I remembered just last week he was playing drums with Tre, but he was just here he can't be gone he was 2 fucking years old.
"Tre whats all the screaming about?" Billie Joe asked as he came to where I stay kneeling in the yard. "Did you find Leon"
"L-leon L-leon he is right here in my arms I just gotta wake him up"
"Dude he died and now she's going crazy" I heard Tre whisper to Billie
"God works in mysterious ways"Billie replied
2 months after the death
At the funeral I couldn't stand it. My baby left me so soon and was all that bastards fault. I left them alone for 10 minutes while I went shopping for our fucking dinner. When he walked through those doors I tackled him and started beating him until Mike pulled me off of him.
"What the hell were you thinking" Mike asked me
"I'm going to kill you dumbass now let me go!" I said trying to break his grip. I gave Gerard a bloody nose and I tried strangling him with his tie but it failed.
"Shelby relax your not gonna kill him," Mike told me now he had help from Billie Joe to hold me back.
"You killed my baby you asshole, the only thing I had live for besides Tre"
"It wasn't my fault." Gerard said
"Bull shit it wasnt, I asked you to watch for 10 fuckin' minutes and you let him go outside without somebody with him, I'm going to kill you!" I got out of Billie Joe's and Mike's grip and tackled him again but this time he fought back. Now I have a bloody nose and lip and Gerard well lets just say his area will be black and blue for awhile.
"Dammit Shelby chill out" Mike said holding me into his arms and not letting me go.
"He killed my baby, my baby Leon my only and my first baby I'm going to kill you!"
After all of that I found peace with my self and Gerard will be missed I'm just joking but his eyes were swollen shut and I now live alone finishing my school work with a perfect boy friend (he is not my lover just my friend) Paul. We have good times we have bad times, but I will always miss my baby. I visit his grave everyday and 'talk' to him. One time we had a 'conversation' and I swear to god I could hear his little laugh in the background.
*ALTERNATIVE ENDING*
I was sitting there playing with little Leon he had the walking thing down packed but he mostly ran every where.
"Look who it is Leon"
"Gampa" Leon screamed
"Hey Leon what are you doing today" Tre said picking him up. He was trying to teach Leon how to play the drums.
"Playin"
"You wanna play drums with Grandpa?" Tre asked pulling out drumsticks
"DRUMS DRUMS DRUMS!" Leon yelled
"Get momma your shoes and get your jacket on" He was learning really quickly he knew his 'adc's', he could count to ten and he knew where eveything was in the house. Gerard moved out last year because we weren't getting along very well and we didn't want to yell around Leon so I lived alone.
"Choes momma"
"Thank you"
"Welcome" Leon said he was getting better on the manners thing but what was really unique about was one time Tre took him out for the afternoon and got his hair cut in a mohawk. When I saw him I was in shock he was so cute and rebelious.
"Come on Gampa, hurry gampa" Leon said tugging on his pant leg.
"I'm coming hold on, I'll bring him back in an hour so you can relax"
"Make it an hour and a half and I'll be in heaven"
***Tre's POV***
"God Leon your growing to fast" I said
"DRUMS GAMPA!" he yelled
"We will lets get Uncle Billie and Uncle Mike"
"UNCLE BILLIE UNCLE MIKE!" he yelled again. You knew he was Shelby's by the way he acted. Every where we went he started conversations with every one.
"AUNT ADIE" he yelled when got to Billie Joe's house
"Leon what are you doing?" she asked him
"DRUMS DRUMS!"
"I'll go get Uncle Billie okay hold on"
"Hurry Aunt Adie Hurry!"
"I'm going hold on"
"Leon I see you wearing the converse I gave you" Billie said picking him up.
"Choes Choes! Uncle Mike Uncle Mike hurry" He yelled
"We'll go get him hold on"
***Shelby's POV***
Holy Shit this bath is heaven and I still have an hour and fifteen minutes.
"If I get out now I'll have time to get my nails and hair done, yeah thats what I'll do I deserve it"
When I got to the salon every one asked how Leon was and that I have to bring him in.
"Ladies I'll bring him in when he needs his mohawk trimmed"
"I can't believe you let him do that to your baby" One of the ladies said
"Well it makes him rebelious and I think he looks cuter than hell"
When I got all done I went to pick up Leon and o show off my new blonde hair style.
At Tre's house
"Look Shelby Leon knows a song play it kid"
"One, two, tree" He was banging the hell out of the drums but he did a good job of it.
"Nice hair" Mike told me
"Thanks, Leon's doing a good job" I said
"Yeah Billie Joe's trying to put eyeliner on him but Leon kept moving around"
"Well I'm just glad he has musical influences"
"Umm can I talk to you outside for a minute"
"Sure Why not" I was worried as all hell what going on. I've always secretly had a crush on Mike but it was a girlish one.
"Ever since Leon has been born I've really think I have fell in love with you"
"Wow really"
Just then his lips were pressed against mine we were holding each other for dear life.
"What the hell" Tre said.

"Holy shit" I said just realizing what had happened
"Woah I'm really sorry I didn't mean it I gues..." I iterupted him with a another kiss. I guess you can say I was in the heat of the moment.
"Why don't you two just get married or hurry up and bang each other"
"Ears" I said
"Sorry why don't you two hurry up and cough cough" Tre said
"MOMMY LOOK IT" He said pointing to his eyes
"Billie Joe what the hell did you do to him"
"Hey it's just a little eyeliner it'll come off when you give him a bath" He looked like he was dead. My baby was now a part of the California punk scene.
"You better pray that it comes off your I'll have your ass"
"I don't think Addrianne would aprove of that"
"You know what I mean" I said still in Mike's arms they were so comforting and soft.
"You two can let go of each other you kno that right?" Tre said
"Yeah I know but who says we want to" Mike said
"Yeah really"
Later that night
I had a date with Mike I was kind os nervous this has been my first date in a long time.
"You ready to go to Grandpas house?" I asked Leon
"Grampa DRUMS!!" He loved the drums he was obsessed
"Yes Grandpa will let you play the drums"I said tying his green converse
"Be good for Grandpa and I'll see you tonight okay" I said kissing him on the cheek. "Bye mommy I wuv you"
"I love you too be good and Tre don't teach him the cheech... oh theres my ride bye"
*** At the resturant***
"You look very beautiful tionigh"
"Thank you, you look very handsom tonight"
After dessert we sat there for awhile and drank coffee. We were the only one sin there except for two othe couples. When I saw mike he was on one knee, I began to cry.
"Shelby you know I love you and you know you love me so..."
"Yes yes of course I will"
Okay.. So three years later Shelby and Mike are still married with 2 kids both boys and still live in Cali.
